Tameless

Aisling 9

I haven’t given up my normal main stream life style for a life of fantasy and costumes just yet. Though I must admit it’s been fun creating these outfits with this round of fantasy offerings from several of the events happening on the grid right now.

I do sometimes struggle with knowing what sort of scene to put together and what poses to use for such outfits.  It could possibly be easier to just find a sim and snap pictures, though I enjoy creating my own scenes and for the most part I just go with the flow in what looks good to me.

This picture above was sort of a fluke in trying to add some light back into the picture using the curves feature in Pic Monkey.  I rather learned a new trick in making that little mistake and I’m rather pleased with the background at the end.

While I have more fantasy stuff to show my next post will probably be something a little lighter.  Maybe.

Beam of Light

Yesterday I tinkered a little with Photoshop and it’s not a program I am eager to learn to use. Personally, I find it such a difficult program to understand even with all the hundreds of tutorials online that I can view.  It’s just not an activity I envision utilizing some of my free time doing. However, I can’t help being fascinated by some of the effects I see on pictures and wondering how it’s done.

I might have mentioned in one of my past posts that I pretty much use PicMonkey to touch up photos.  It’s simple, easy and fast and truth be told I like instant gratification and on to the next thing.

Here are my results.  The cropped picture above was done strictly using PicMonkey and the two pictures below are the outcome of my lesson in inserting a beam of light into my photo using Photoshop.

The before.

The after.

I’m quite happy with the way it turned out that I just might play with it again. 🙂
