Dog sitting

Jian 008

I actually did this over the past weekend with my sisters dog as she traveled out of town for the day. Her dog is pretty tame and  is very content these days just to claim her space in the room and sit quietly.

In-world it’s a different story.  I can handle more than one.  These cuties I’m showing are the corgis from JIAN that will be available tomorrow at the Arcade.  There are 15 total with 12 commons and 3 rares with a 11% rare chance and $50L per play.

There is a new thing with the Arcade this round and that is the rewarding of loyal players who at 50 plays to the same machine will receive a reward.  JIAN’s reward is the kite flyer corgi, which has 5 different whimsical animal kite textures.

There is so much more to the corgis than what you see.  Get all the details on the corgis below the credits.

━━━━━━━━━━ ◐ Details ◑ ━━━━━━━━━━

All rares in this set texture change both the pup between the four coat colors and have accessory texture options as well!

━ Kite Flyer & Swim Trunks Pups
These are worn avatar companions. Right click and choose “Add” from your inventory.

━ Beach Towel Pup
This is a rezzed decor pup that you can also sit on and enjoy a day out on the beach. You can change your pose, as well as the textures for the towel, accessories and the corgi pup itself.

━ Drink Cooler Pup
This is a rezzed decor pup that when you click directly on the pup will dispense drinks for your avatar to sip on. You can also click the cooler lid to open and close it as well as click the cooler bottom to get a texture change menu for the corgi and cooler.

All rare pups should have options to turn sound and animation on or off, except for the sleepy pup which does not have sound. They should also have a resize menu to allow for shrinking or growing the size of your pup. Please note that resizing can affect land impact!

━━━━━━━━━━ ◐ COMMONS ◑ ━━━━━━━━━━

━ Wandering Pups
These pups are meant to be rezzed to let run around!
Drop them out on the ground and click them to begin. You will get options for radius, wander and sound.
Sound turns your pups’ barking on or off.
Radius sets the distance in which you pup can wander from the point where you turn it ‘on’.
Wander turns your pup ‘on’ and lets it run around!
Turning off wander on your pup should return it to its original starting position.

━ Companion & Held Pups
These are worn avatar companions. Right click and choose “Add” from your inventory.

Companions run along side of you. Held pups will attach to your arm (and can be swapped arms; they will automatically play the correct animation for either arm on attach) and doze, yap and kick.

All common pups should have options to turn sound and animation on or off. They should also have a resize menu to allow for shrinking or growing the size of your pup. Please note that resizing can affect land impact!

Lesson 24

Snapshot_003

This picture has nothing to do with this lesson, it is more the state of quietness that I find myself in this week.  Even though I have probably only painted once or twice in the last year — behind the easel is where I have found great solitude shutting out the world and immersing myself in whatever I was painting.  As I read this lesson nothing glaringly jumps out in my mind about being in conflict with someone else over the need to be right unless that small voice in your head counts!

You see I find myself contemplating the changes that have taken place in my life the last few months, some that I made willingly and others forced upon me and having to adjust as necessary.   That voice says change is good and everything was for my own good and I fight back saying not all changes are good, being adamant in my way of thinking.

Yes, this lesson comes right on time for me as I choose to be open to look at it differently and apply it to where I am in life.   Most often it’s not always another person that you can find yourself most at odds with.  It’s yourself.   Right?  Admit you’re wrong and I’m right and we’re all happy. 🙂

Lesson 24: Admit You Are Wrong

Whenever two people are at odds with one another, it’s usually because both people are trying to be right. Sometimes we defend our positions even when they make us miserable, because we just can’t bear to admit that we’re wrong. Our need to be right robs us of intimacy and fulfillment in our personal relationships, and perpetuates our feelings of discontent.

This week, notice what your need to be right costs you in terms of energy, intimacy, and peace of mind. Ask yourself what’s more important: being right or being happy.

Your Self-Love Assignment

Allow yourself to see one thing you’ve been fighting to be right about. Are you holding a position with someone that’s causing you stress or aggravation? Have you been blaming someone else for your current state of affairs?

Your assignment this week is to make the powerful choice to take responsibility for the role you played in the creation of this situation. Even if you feel you can justify your position, notice how much more freedom, peace, and contentment you have when you let it go.

Self-Love Points Earned

Give yourself 150 points every time you admit you’re wrong!

Lesson 16

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” ~ Rabindranath Tagore

In the midst of a storm

When I read this week’s lesson my thoughts were, “ohhh so true”, and I really can’t wait to actually do the assignment.  It might not look good at the end when you recognize those choices you made that created situations in your life that were frustrating and caused you anxiety and stress.  They may even pinpoint self forming destructive patterns in our lives.   Right off the bat I can think of several choices I made over the last year that were done out of fear.  So this lesson really speaks to me this week.

Lesson 16: The Power of Choice

Most of us have lost sight of the relationship between our choices, our actions, and the outcomes we experience. But our lives as they exist right now are the result of every choice we’ve made up to this point. The choices we make – today, tomorrow, and every day this year – will either keep us stuck repeating the patterns of our past or they’ll move us powerfully toward the best year of our lives.

By becoming responsible for the choices we make, we take our destiny into our own hands.

Your Self-Love Assignment

Reflect on an area of your life where you’d like to create a different result.  Write down exactly what you would like to change in this area.

Now make a list of all the choices you’ve made in the past 12 months that were in direct opposition to the fulfillment of this desire. Allow yourself to see the choices you made that disempowered you, that came from a place of fear, and that were unconscious or self-sabotaging.

Finally, identify two choices you can make this week that will move you closer to the result you desire.

Self-Love Points Earned

Give yourself 50 points for every choice you make that leads you in the direction of your goals.

Reading the news…

Snapshot_021

Anymore reading the news is so discouraging and yet it’s good to stay informed about what is happening around the word as well as your individual locality.   Though it’s always best to remember that news is often reported with a heightened sense to evoke the greatest emotion that sells.   I have respect for the written word, but dealing with the news media in my professional career has definitely given me a new perspective on how news is reported.

Reading an actual newspaper would be somewhat of a novelty for me now since I read most of my news via the computer or my favorite gadget my trusty handy tool the iPad.   Even in Second Life, it’s great that we have magazines that keep us informed.   I love perusing blogs, though most only report credits and to keep up with what’s new in the fashion world, those blogs do well.   Though I also love to read what inspires creations and the motivation behind a lot of what happens in this virtual world.  A friend just sent me a link to Fierce magazine, which you can check out here.    Happy reading!
