The Arcade is only less than a week away and by some of the previews I’ve seen already the bar has been raised for this round. Soon the arcade chat will be going a mile a minute as the trading begins. I’m excited to be showing you some cute stuff that one of my favorite creators of kids stuff, “BoOgErS”, has for this round of The Arcade. Toys that every child would love, starting with the baby kitchen that will be the rare item in the whole set. To make it complete you have the grocery set that has vegetables, canned goods, milk and eggs and then the cooking set that has the pans, plate, utensils and baking pan. Other items shown here include the shape sorter and wagon blocks that on touch to either dumps the blocks and shapes on the floor and cleans up too. The panda behind me in the picture is also part of the set, though everything in the set is not being shown. These are just a few of the items for you to see.

[ARIA] @ Shiny Shabby

There is a new event on the grid called the Shiny Shabby, which will be vintage themed and will open on the 20th of each month and close on the 15th of the following month. [ARIA] is participating with this vintage mini office set called “Vesna” that consists of the desk, chair, tea cup and flowers in a can. I went with the white version, but the desk comes with 7 texture choices for the wood, the chair comes with 7 fabric choices and the tulips comes with 9 options for the flowers. The set is available either in PG or adult and you can purchase the items as a set or individual pieces. I particularly liked the animations with the chair that allow for female and male sits, activities like writing, eating and cuddles plus many more.

I’m not sure how I missed seeing these toys from Dysfunctional Designs when I made my trip to this round of We ❤ Role-Play event. I have very fond memories of playing jacks as a child and besides marbles this was probably the next best thing!

This round of Shiny Shabby will open tomorrow at 12 SLT.

Neither is flirting and trying to hook up with total strangers over an app game. Some days ago I mentioned that during one of my sleepless nights I found myself playing a game of words with total strangers, two in fact a male and a female. Since that night the challenges have continued on and off as time permits. I’ve won some and lost some and it keeps my brain active.

In the game “Words with Friends” there is an option for chat and can only be used if you’re in an active game. Up until then no communication had occurred until this weekend the guy initiates a chat by messaging me that my next move better be a good one just before hitting me with a word that racked up his points. This was all good until he starts to get a little more friendlier.

I’ll spare the details of the come on as it’s rather lame even to my own ears, especially when they have absolutely no knowledge if I’m married, single or whatever. Politely I declined his offer quit the game and refused another challenge.

Maybe this is normal in this day and age?

Skybox Living

Showing the newest home by The [Den.] that is available at the current round of the Cosmopolitan Room. The Historic Skybox is full mesh that has a long wide open living space that has enough room to use for a living room and a kitchen if you so desire. The skybox also has two additional rooms and comes in two versions. One version comes with a room that has a marble floor in the event that you want to make the room a bathroom and the second version comes with the wood floor if you just seek to make it another room like an office or bedroom.

I really like the tall windows that come with the skybox, so it allows for a view if you want to place it inside a dome or just leave it open and decorate it as I did with shrubs and grass. The size is 12x15x5 with a land impact of 41, it is mod and copy.

I Heart You by Finishing Touches

I’m taking a short work break to post this second post. I sort of took advantage of another sleepless night to take a few pictures of some of the items that are going to be available at the upcoming “Perfect 10” event. You could say that is one of the nice things about having a home in Second Life is being able to switch out furniture as much as you like.

Finishing Touches is another creator participating in the Perfect 10 event that will start on February 1st and run through the 15th. This living set will be here just in time for you to get your home decorated for Valentines Day. It certainly helps set the romantic mood with all the hearts and I love the box of chocolates that comes as part of the decor. I have always enjoyed a lot of the items at Finishing Touches. Especially, many of their Christmas items from a couples years back that I still treasure and use today, even if slightly higher in prim if compared to what is coming out now.

I am also showing two other items by creators also participating in the event. The heart ottoman by Tylar’s Treasures that on touch pops up the menu to allow you to change the texture of the top and bottom. The other item is the rose taper candle by Lunar Seasonal Designs that on touch also produces a menu that will give you options to change the metal and color of the roses.

There is a new home and garden event called the “Perfect 10” that will run from the 1st of the month to the 15th. This event while new actually replaces the previous Designer Warehouse, that will have exclusive home and garden items at half or discounted price during the event. There will be some gachas as well.

I am showing a complete bath set created by Lovers Playground. Everything in the picture is included as part of the set minus the curtains and the flowers on the vanity. Most of the items are animated for your interactive experience. I got a chuckle out of the animations on the weight scale.

Nothing says home like the smell of baking.

~ A messy kitchen is a sign of happiness. ~

I survived the birthday party yesterday, well at least 2.5 hours of it. Thankfully, it was held outdoors even if it meant bearing the cold wind. I was wearing my leather jacket that rarely gets used so that kept me somewhat comfy. Instead of what I would call more substance they had an assortment of crackers, hams, fruits and cheese to eat and one of my favorite wines moscato. Just for that you could say it wasn’t so bad after all. There was no traditional birthday cake. In it’s place was this huge cookie cake that seems to be more popular these days that had gobs of chocolate chips in it. I took a sliver of it just to taste.

Now here I am baking up a storm in Second Life. Shhh… I really got them yesterday at the pre-tasting of the Atelier Kreslo’s Farewell Bake Sale that opened today. I am only showing a few of the goodies you can find at the bake sale. While these cakes look absolutely yummy, personally I am more likely to take a serving or two of the creme brulee.

The comforts of a home.

The newest round of N21 is here and I am featuring a couple of items that can be found there. The first is the newest living set by [Aria] called the Delilah and consists of the sofa with decorative pillows, ottoman and throw, decorative vases with poppies, canvas pile and the birch trio. For this exclusive round [ARIA] has made three exclusive upholstery textures and can be purchased as either pg or adult version.

The next few pictures is showing the newest home by The [Den.] that can be found also at N21. The Riverview is a 54x32x12m mesh home with a land impact of only 95.

I took pictures from two sides of the house to give you a glimpse of how it looks from the outside and the next two pictures shows you a view of the inside downstairs.

As you can see it is very spacious, which means you can move freely without bumping into things or people. You can check it out for yourself at the event.
