Sitting waiting wishing

Just days away from one of the most popular events in Second Life, the Skin Fair, which is presented by Pale Girl Productions and Esode. It is set to start on March 10th and will last until the 26th. I’m so excited to be showing you some previews in the coming days, both on this blog and my other blog Alexa’s Fantasy Wardrobe.

Today I am featuring a skin by Birth, which is not a skin maker that I was familiar until a recent gacha purchase. Freya is available in 8 tones, with a browless option, or eyebrows in black, brown, blonde and red. There is a bento shape included and while appliers have been tailor made to fit Catwa’s ‘Catlyn’ bento mesh head, it can and works well with others as I am using it on Catwa Tumble.

I’m also featuring the tattoo by Arise, called the Joa, which comes with appliers for TMP, Belleza, Maitreya, Omega and layers for classic avatars. I’m also wearing a top and skirt by Scandalize, available now at Cosmopolitan. I am really taking a liking to this creator’s designs as it fits my personal taste.

The last items being showcased are the landscape by Little Branch and pose used. The Spring Winds trees in the background are at the current round of FaMESHed. The pose that I used was perfect to show both the skin and the tattoo, and it’s by Corpus and part of their Random Series 2 set and available at the upcoming round of The Liaison Collaborative that opens tomorrow on March 7th.

After holding out for the longest time I finally took the plunge and dyed my hair for the very first time last week. At age 45, I was fortunate that the grey hairs were scattered among the long strands of hair and not necessarily pronounced at the temples. Though, it was time for a change and one that is rapidly growing on me.

Today I am featuring a new hair by Beusy that is available currently at Kustom9. I didn’t take the risk of going with a two tone hair color in real, as those things are not easily reversible. Though I certainly like the look on this hairstyle that I’m wearing and there is always a next time.

Something I needed to be reminded of today.

This is a bit of the rebellious nature I find myself in shining through in this post as I share with you some more items to be found during this month’s round of events.

Both the fringe suede top and skirt by MoDANNA are mesh and found at two different ongoing events right now. There are several colors for both items and you will also find other styling pieces as well so that you can tailor fit your style.

The other item that I am featuring today is the workbench by (epia) available at this round of The Men’s Department. While it has single and couple animations I decided to use a different pose as I wanted to make sure that the clothes were highlighted as well.

Hunting Pink

On occasion I like doing hunts just for fun, mainly because it distracts my mind from over thinking. Since the Seraphim blog now features hunts I browse them every now and then. The last hunt I did was the Easter Egg Hunt at the Nest and prior to that I think it was the Peace on Earth Hunt. I have needed some mindless activity lately and usually I take to reading a book as my mind gets engrossed and focuses on the characters of the story. When I saw some of the pictures on two particular hunts it seemed like the perfect mindless activity to get my mind channeled into a different zone altogether.

As I was looking through some of the preview pictures I began to think of going a little out of my comfort zone by not only wearing mostly all pink, a different style of dressing, but also wearing a mixed blend of colors in a blond color hair. The two hunts I am showing items from are The Cotton Candy Hunt and the Pink Fusion Hunt.

I must say that the quality of the hunt items are getting better and better. These are not free hunts, though you can’t beat the cost. The cotton candy items were 2 lindens and the pink fusion were 5 lindens.
