Sometimes you can find yourself in the middle of nowhere

I came home early from work and slept straight for several hours and it felt like some of the best sleep.  Hopefully, it won’t have me up all night, but in the meantime it allowed me to create this scene to showcase some of the fantastic ‘Mojave Dreamin‘ gacha decor by ..::THOR::.. for this upcoming round of Kustom9 that opens tomorrow.

I am also featuring his Mojave refuge and sign currently at 6 Republic.  Included in this post are the planters by chiC buildings, that will be at the upcoming Home & Garden Expo that opens on May 19th through June 2nd.  This year marks the 11th annual run for this event, one of the major fundraisers for Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL), a virtual version of the real life fundraising event Relay For Life, that raises funds for the American Cancer Society.

Morning! Hope it was a great weekend for all of you.  I’m still sick with cold, though I’m going in to work this morning as I’m covering for someone whose scheduled to be out.  It sucks. I know.

Today, I’m featuring the bed, the lounge sofa, lamp, drapes and the townhouse, all decor at current events.  The townhouse is quite lovely and below credits you can get a view of how it looks, because it is so much more than just this room I’m using.  It’s another great example of the kind of homes you get in the subscription box for Builder’s Box. Hello again. I’m going to have to leave early tomorrow to be the first in line to get my driver’s license renewed.  I knew that it was going to expire this year, but it just totally slipped my mind and I’ve been driving around without a valid one.  I’ll be rushing no doubt because its early to beat the morning traffic as it’s on the opposite side of town from where I travel to work. This means I’m posting tomorrow’s post now.

The time of lace tablecloths and doilies

I have fond memories of lace tablecloths and lace doilies strewn around our home as well in both set of grandparents homes as I was growing up.  It gave a touch of elegance and no doubt it was also a means to protect the wood underneath. Well it did in our family, as it couldn’t have been easy for my mom with eight children. Being we are all just one or two years apart in age you can perhaps imagine what a house full of children running around could be like.  Just writing these words gives me an overwhelming admiration and respect for my mom.
