Choices

Morning! Happy Easter weekend to everyone.  I mentioned in my post on Tuesday that I would be showcasing the garden Shed by Mesh India that is currently at Cosmopolitan another week. It’s a beautiful building as you can see, that I couldn’t make up my mind which photo to show you all. Choices. You get both.

I’m linking you to my “Tea Party” post for the rest of the credits.

Have a great day!

Food, friends and sunshine… ingredients for a picnic

Happy Wednesday! If you are like me and haven’t made it over to the Bloom Event, which has been open less than a week then we’re seriously missing out on some great stuff.  I’ll get there eventually.  In the meantime I get to show you some wonderful items from creators participating.

The first picture shows the abandoned conservatory building by [Merak], which is an absolute delight with its great textures and the windows on one end.  It made it a great foundation for putting this scene together.  I am using the picnic prep gacha items by Hive: the crate bar, eat sign and the pots of silverware on the bar table. The conservatory and picnic items can be found at Bloom.

Then the flowers, gardening stuff and the Victorian iron couch and table are by Dreamscapes Art Gallery.  You can find these at the main store and make sure you check out the hunts they are participating in, because you’ll find some great decor items.

Hive also created some oak and birch trees, which is what I used to decorate around the conservatory. The trees come in a range of sizes and some are newly planted so they have sticks holding them up.  Great for those gardeners who want to do some landscaping. The crates, picnic sign and tent are by Hive and part of their picnic gacha set and the colorful chickies are by Dreamscapes Art Gallery.

Have a great day!

Backyard Garden

The last days have been sort of in the rushing mode for me as I’m posting right before I have to leave somewhere or as as I’m starting to close out for the night and have enough energy left just to post. Last night I discovered that I may have to go out of town again for a few days and I won’t have access to SecondLife.  I don’t particularly care to use a laptop for using SL  anyways, but this means I need to get as much done before Sunday.

Today I’m bringing some garden stuff from a few creators that I blog for.  The majority is from THOR, which is their Garden Life gacha set available now at The Gacha Guardians event.  There are 13 pieces, with 12 commons and 1 rare and then two gifts of the guardians.  Those are received when a player does 15 pulls on a single machine.  Visit their website for more information on this event, how to play and other exciting news.

I’m also showing items by [ETNIA], an original mesh/ ethnic interior decor store that I will be blogging for. They are participating in this round of Crossroads with a gardening set called the Cute Frida that includes a round gardening table, some decor pots and plants. You can’t miss them as one has the familiar trademark face of Frida and the floral long standing one on the round table is another. Stay tuned for some more creative designs from this store.

Little Branch is participating in this round of FaMESHed and while I’m not showing the actual tree they are releasing for this round in this post, I am showing some of the grasses that you can get with the purchase of their item at the event.

While I’m not in so much of a rush today I am hungry so that’s it for now. Oops.. I’m forgetting two things I wanted to mention.  The first is that Draftsman has an open photo contest for home and garden decor with a time travel theme that anyone can participate in.  The date is fairly close as you have only until April 7th, but still some time if you want to compete and win some awesome prizes.  Get the details here.  The other is that the 4th Annual Castle, Home & Garden Contest & Expo is seeking bloggers. You can get details on this event here.

Have a great one!

I can’t talk any sense into her

When I finished processing my photo and leaned back in my chair to take a look at it to come up with a title all I could think of was what is she trying to convince her of.  Sort of lead me into reflection on how often we talk to ourselves inside our head. Well I know that I do when I’m wading through muddled thoughts and reasoning out things. Or sometimes arguing with that little voice in our heads that can lead you up or down depending on your own disposition.

Anyways, that’s a bit heavy for a Monday!  Moving on to something much lighter like pointing you to credits to see some of the fashion and decor that I am showcasing today from the Tres Chic Event and other creators that I have the honor of blogging for.

Have a great day!

FLF 007ps

This Sunday, on February 14th the 8th annual Home and Garden Expo will open its doors and run until March 6th.  The expo is the largest event that features some of the best home and garden designers on the grid who come together to raise money for Relay for Life of Second Life.  The Relay  for Life is the main fundraising event for American Cancer Society, and Relay for Life of SL is the virtual counterpart that supports this worthy cause.

RLF 006ps

The exhibitors participating in the expo each have to provide two 100% donation items that are new and exclusive to the event.  In one way or another we have all been affected by someone whose had cancer and this is such a wonderful opportunity for you to show your support.  In addition to the exclusive items some exhibitors will be participating with gachas, in which 50% of the proceeds also go to Relay for Life.

Today I am featuring the Spring Garden 2016 from Love Everlasting PlantPets. The Garden comes in two different boxes.  There is a rez box so that you can arrange the entire scene as one piece or the other box contains all the individual pieces so that you can either arrange them among your own landscaping or use each piece as desired. Some cute features like the birds will sing and stop upon clicking and chairs, bench and patio have either single, couple or both animations.   The umbrella fountain is also available separately on its own and the difference is the animated ducks, which are cute and gives it that come to life effect.

The last picture contains the 100% donation items from Aphrodite Shops.  The cupcake and cake on tier stand and the cookie and cupcake boxes, which open upon click and will give out a cookie or cupcake upon clicking inside the box.

Trusting the magic of change and new beginnings

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but building the new.” ~ Socrates

Winter 0492

I was going to wait and post this picture until after Thanksgiving, but this morning I woke up and my room was quite chilly.  I’m used to warm weather during this time of year so it’s a bit of a shock to the system to feel the chill in the air.  This means I’ll be trading in my flimsy thin nightwear for those plaid flannel pajamas very soon along with warm fuzzy socks.

Moving further up the state has been a bit of a culture shock as well and something that I am not adjusting to too well.  While a lovely scenic city with a lot of lushness greenery and some massive oak trees and bald cypress with Spanish moss it still feels a bit antiquated.

Change is hard and it’s something that I’m experiencing at a faster rate these days in just about every area of my life.  Some changes are not very pleasant as I just learned this past week, though I know overcoming these periods makes you stronger. Improvement can’t happen without change and so embracing it means you learn and grow as you turn the directional path from the one you’re used to.  It brings new beginnings as you turn the page and strengthens you for the next chapter in your life.

I put together the following scene just for fun using some more Christmas decor by Shutter Field and the newest trees by Little Branch, so check out the details below.

I think it just might be symbolic of changing the landscape from one season to another.
