I tried something a little different and that is using a texture as a background and then just added some light in a couple of places.  I much prefer setting up a scene or going on location though using this method can be useful at times.

Here lately I have been in a changeable mode.  Like last night I was just standing at my landing point and it struck me that I have spent more time on that spot than anywhere else inside or outside in any of the sitting spots throughout.  Within ten minutes I took down the house, furniture and all the landscaping.  Standing there in an almost empty flat land I was thinking what comes next and so I put down these woods to get some inspiration.   It didn’t ignite in me any ideas and quite frankly I’m thinking of just renting a space that gives you a small allowance of prim to use.  I have never gone homeless for very long and it makes me antsy not having a place to park myself or having somewhere to open purchases.  Maybe by the time my tier is up in a few days I’ll have decided on something.

I was wearing just the dress as I was still working through some of the items that I picked up at The Secret Affair event when it dawned on me to use the woods as the backdrop.  Combining items from several of the fantasy events and here I am ready to capture a wild boar.

I got hit with two restarts last night while I was taking this picture and I don’t think it was part of the maintenance that is planned for this week.  I’m hoping this will fix some of the ongoing issues lately.

I’m doing two posts today as I want to show another shoe that will be available come November 21st at this round of the 21Shoe event.  The shoes are from [sYs] Designs made to fit with SLink high feet that will be available just during the 24-hours of the 21Shoe event.  The other shoe that is not pictured is an almost identical pair in the color of red/black.  I played a gacha over the weekend for these cute clutches and the first out of the box was for Portugal, which I tried to give to my sis and she just wouldn’t take it (chuckles at inside joke).  I was aiming for my country, the good ole USA, which was a rare {I know right}.  I got lucky and got it on the second try and well I couldn’t resist going once more and got Italy and there I stopped.  In honor of an Italiano that I happen to know I thought it would be nice to use it with this outfit.

I’m showing another pair of shoes that will be available on November 21st for the 21Shoe event that runs for 24 hours only.  These adorable hounds-tooth Saddle Jane flats from Sax Shepherd Designs are perfect for taking a stroll through the shopping district and residential parts of Second Life.  I didn’t have to fight lag or see giant size mesh clothing floating all around me while I walked to find a spot to take a snapshot.  I must admit that I liked that experience and will be doing this a little more often for something different than setting up my own scene.  The sim was practically deserted and it’s a shame, but with so many events that run throughout the month it’s so easy for some of these wonderfully created locations to take a back seat.  That’s another great thing about 21Shoe is that all shoes can be found at the individual stores.

Not pictured is the other shoe that is part of the two-for-one deal, which are the button mules that also come in the same hounds-tooth fabric.  You will get two colors with each set — a white/black and red/black in each shoe style and all for a really great price of $299L and never to be sold again.  The waist cincher that matches the shoes will be offered as an add-on the same day also for a very good price.

I was messing around yesterday in inventory with my child alt nearby as I transferred over things to her.  Somewhere doing that I got the notice that Genre was now open and decided to take a break and go over to take a look before the crowd rushed in.  This round focuses on post apocalypse and not really my thing, but I found the warrior breastplate top sort of funny and purchased it along with a few other items pictured.

I had no idea what I was going to do and now I’m just laughing at the outcome.

What’s love got ….

When I rezzed this love box sign last night for this scene it made me think of Tina Turner’s song, “What’s love got to do with it” and it’s still playing in my head this morning.  It made me feel like dancing and so I’ve parked myself on a dance floor at a long ago visited club listening to the rhythm and soul tunes the DJ is spinning as I write this post.  Just what the doctor ordered.

Being a part of the Fantasy Collective group I got early access last night so I took a quick look and came away with this outfit that I’m wearing from Yasum.  The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow and my sneak peak showed that there will be a lot of great stuff as usual.   I am sporting a tattoo from “La Malvada Mujer,” which translates to the evil or wicked woman, that is available at the Victims of Ink event.  It fits the mood.

I’m excited today.  This morning one of my real life friends that I’ve known for many years sent me an email that he had joined Second Life.   He’s always known I inhabit this world and from time to time will ask me about it, though has always resisted joining.  I don’t blame him.  It will be kind of a new experience to catch up with each other from time to time in-world with avatars being that I’m in America and he’s in Europe.

Good & Evil

The dichotomy of good and evil has always been an interesting subject and I can safely say it dates as far back to the age of the bible.  I don’t plan to talk about morals or religion as that is a personal thing that I try never to debate unless it’s with people who will accept your difference of thoughts, beliefs and opinions and can still smile at you after the conversation.  I will say this.  Personally, I think the relevance lies in the seed of both good and evil that exists inside each of us.  It’s definitely a balancing act when it comes to choosing which one will win.

It’s only mid morning and its dark and raining here — so this picture feels perfect for the overcast day we’re having.

I’m keeping it simple today and just wanting to show this exclusive original mesh necklace that Bokeh has available at the Jewelry Fair.   The necklace comes in three lengths with black or a precious metal rim options that you can change via menu.  Even though it feels a little odd wearing a sweater when its still super hot in my real world, this fluffy sweater feels just right.
