This year has been a bit busier than what I remember it being previous years. I know in large it’s due to taking on more blogging commitments and I recognize that simply from the fact that I have yet to open a quarter of my arcade items that were purchased and not given to me as a blogger package. I really have no problem with it. If I didn’t enjoy this I simply wouldn’t do it.

I also have not had time to unpack some of the advent or hunt gifts I find as I am always on the lookout for home and garden decor. I find hunts are sometimes one of the best sources for me finding more one of a kind items or the unusual or even home decor stores I wasn’t aware of.

So last night I decorated a whole cottage with a bunch of Christmas decor mostly from decor items received from hunts, advent and group gifts and maybe a few other pieces bought or given through a blogger pack. It gave me a feeling of nostalgia and a small dose of guilt of not doing it sooner.

Today I’m showcasing a new hair style by Tukinowaguma that’s available at Tres Chic. It’s a sweet and stylish updo that’s perfect for those holiday parties as is the Antonina dress by Fame Femme, that has a fun bow going down the open back that adds a little sexiness to the dress. Both of these items can be found in different colors at the event.

The decor being featured is by [CIRCA], which are items in their Holiday Advent Tree. There is a group that you need to join, it’s the [CIRCA] Living – Christmas Advents (in-world) and it’s free to new members. Each day items have been added to the squares on the wall tree near the inside entrance. Items do cost from $1 – $75 lindens and some even at $0 lindens. Unfortunately, I didn’t get these items until a couple of days ago, so it’s a bit of a short notice and hopefully she will leave them out a bit longer as the group will be closing the Eve of Dec. 24th. The wall strip art in red plaid is available currently at the Midwinter Fair.

Edited: A note on the advent for [CIRCA]. The creator will be opening the advent for days 8-24 on December 24th, so you will still have time to grab anything you like from those days.

Have yourself a merry one

I gave myself off yesterday not posting in either blog and didn’t do much of anything other than open boxes to get myself organized to blog away in the coming days. My inventory is a mess, even though it’s been a mess going on 2 or 3 years now. I’m due for a massive clean up soon where I won’t blog and just try to organize my inventory. It will probably be just after Christmas and before the New Year. If you have any inventory clean up tips I welcome them!

Today I’m featuring a new Christmas gacha by Mesh India out now at the Cosmopolitan Event that started December 5th and this round ends on December 17th. The tree with a texture change base is the rare in the set and is the item with the most land impact at 11. The rest of the commons, which are made of some great gifts for the family are 3 and under.

The Lake Cabin

It’s another snow day here in my Second Life and it’s a mighty cold one too! I’m showcasing the lake cabin and snow add-on by DaD Design, available now at FaMESHed. You can find all the details on the house below credits. Part of the winter landscape used is by Aphrodite and Mushilu. The larger trees in front of the house along with the winter berry bushes are by Aphrodite and the snowy animals along with rocks and small lake are by Mushilu at this newest round of We ❤ Role-Play.

“THE LAKE CABIN” Is a beautiful family house.

The Lake Cabin have an entrance with pergola.
Spacious entrance, included a double flight of stairs going upstairs.
A large living room with large windows from which to admire the view.
On the left a large family room with an area for the kitchen or a laundry room and a large balcony. To the right there is the Master bedroom which has a private balcony and a bathroom. Upstairs other two attic bedrooms and a bathroom.
The windows of the whole house can be opened and have been arranged openings of different heights to create the most natural look possible.

Just getting a head start on the weekend

Happy Friday!

Today I am doing a bit of everything from the fashion I’m wearing to the decor I’ve put together. It’s a long post and I apologize beforehand for not taking more pictures to break it up some. I’m showing a new long hairstyle by eXxEsS called Jaci available on market place and main store. In case you’re not familiar with her sets; A has 56 single-tones and B has 56 multi-tones. The sweater is one of 8 colors available at the Tannenbaum Holiday Market.

The decor is from the Draftsman and Arcade events. The chair, bench and table are by Shutter Field in collaboration with Decor Junction out now at Draftsman. There are two other tones available in wood and white apart from the rustic being shown. Land impact ranges from 1 to 4 and both the bench and chair have a handful of sit and activity animations. I think 8 or more is considered a handful don’t you think?

The hanging lights and lighted candle on the table are by Hive and are some of the commons in the Home-for-the-Holidays gacha at the Arcade. The adorable husky tangled in lights is by JIAN and it’s one of the rares in the set. Those yummy bagels on that plate on the table are by Mushilu and were from the recent passed Enchantment event. They got to me late so was not able to show them previously, but they should be now at the main store.

The remaining decor is the wine/beer set by Onedecor at Draftsman. I believe that you can purchase the pieces individually or in a full set pack. Also, just to note the wine bottles used on the shelves and also table with wine glass were just unlinked from the wine decor set and used for the scene. Go check out the event it’s ongoing until December 17th.

The scene was created using the Sunrise Beach House by ChiC building, also at Draftsman. I will be featuring it in a separate post as I didn’t have enough time to get all this done to show it together.

Working to earn lindens for the Arcade

The winter season is also one of my favorite to photograph in Second Life. It’s fun and festive to put together these winter scenes. I think part of the draw is that I don’t have snow or a heavy winter other than cold temperatures every so often where I have lived in Florida.

I had fun putting this scene together using the emperor penguins by Jian, which are available at the Tannenbaum Holiday Market and the adorable holiday husky, which is from Jian’s Holiday Huskies gacha at the Arcade. The cute bear with long hair next to me is by BoOgErS, another bear in the collection also at the Arcade. The snowman pail is also another common in the collection by Hive at the Arcade.

As you can see that’s why lil me is selling snowballs just to earn some lindens for the Arcade that just opened today.
