I’m back this evening with another post and again it’s a mixture of fashion and decor. I’ll begin with the home decor items as this is my first post introducing you to this year’s Relay For Life Home & Garden Expo that just opened yesterday and will end on June 4th. It’s an annual event that raises money for Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL). The Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event, and RFL of SL is one of its virtual counterparts. Please visit both the Home & Garden Expo website and the RFL of SL website for more information.

The exhibitors participating at this event are required to have two 100% donation items at the Expo. These items must be new and exclusive to the Expo for the duration of the event. Bloggers for this event are assigned to a particular sim and they are required to blog any donation items from their sim first before they can blog any other items. I believe there is a total of 9 sims for this event and I happened to get assigned to one that had relatively few creators and while I was a bit disappointed that none of these creators had blogger boxes its actually given me a little freedom to blog who ever had boxes out at other sims. That being the case I am going to try and do my very best to feature as many creators as I can during the event that will include a mixture of donated and other items.

Today’s post has items by World of Wood, a store that specializes in quality wooden homes, lodges, cabins and furniture. I just really liked this office set and bookshelves that come with several texture options for the wood. I like dark wood so I chose mahogany. Theory is a store that carries classic and contemporary furnishings and they have the English chest on barley twist legs and the brass box terrarium at the event. The last item featured from this event is the trellis with orange climbing roses just outside the window by TerraShop, a store that makes quality mesh flowers and plants.

Then I’m featuring items by 22769, a well known store that carries a little bit of everything in home and garden decor. They are participating in a few events this month. The Colonial lounge set is their release for The Challenge Event. The set includes the bench, side table, elephant picture and the pineapple lamp. The plant on the stand and on the chest are their release for this month’s round of The Liaison Collaborative, which I’ve previously featured in another recent post. The plate with donuts is from their Sugar Shock gacha set at The Gacha Garden. If you want to see the key for this set, visit here. Happy Friday!

Today I’m featuring stuff by Empire and The Den in collaboration with Ariskea. The shoes are from Empire and available now at the Geeks & Nerds Event. Like with all their shoes the Hydrangea shoes are 100% original mesh and 2o colors are included via a HUD with the ability to change parts individually. They are rigged mesh made for the Belleza Freya, Belleza Venus, Belleza Isis, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, Maitreya and The Mesh Project.

The furniture set made up of the couch, chairs along with the chest table and balls decor with the hourglass and clock, lamp, postal frame and letter decor are a collaboration by the creators mentioned. It’s a lovely set that fits all year long, the sofa is available in both a pg and adult version.

You can find it at Uber. The rest of the close up pictures you will note were without any processing other than some light blurring, just to give you a better view of all the pieces in the set.

Staying connected, no matter where you are

Every time I visit one of my youngest sisters, who lives further up the state from me, one of the things that I enjoy is her office set up. She has two large computer screens, which is quite handy for her as she works with numbers and spreadsheets. I have my own little folder on her computer where I have SL stored and it’s always fun logging in from there as I get to feeling all techie.

I didn’t feel so smart when I accidentally re-textured all three screens when I was setting this up, even after putting a prim over each to prevent that from happening. From time to time I still make these mistakes.

Anyways, on to what I am showing today. First, this new hair by eXxEsS called Coco, which is available at the main store. It’s materials ready and comes with a breeze version for that natural hair blowing in the wind effect. The dress that I am wearing is by Zibska and its at the Secret Affair for a few more days. It includes 5 standard sizes and fit mesh options for the following bodies: Venus/Isis/Freya/Maitreya/Physique/Hourglass/Eve Slim & Pulpy and Tonic Fine & Curvy. It also offers 12 colors via a color change HUD.

I am also showing the Dim Sum Panda & Chopsticks by Aphrodite Shops that is wearable and animated. It’s available now at On9 also for a few more days as the event comes to an end. I’m wearing the panda version, but can be found also in a mouse, piggy and mixed version.

Here Comes The Rain Again

There is rumbling in the sky as we’re about to have some severe weather this afternoon. It’s been raining softly so far with just a bit of wind, but within a couple hours it’s supposed to be really coming down hard and furious. I like rain showers, so bring it on.

Before I lose power, which is often the case at times when we have these intense storms, let me get this blog post done. I’m showcasing this 17x8x9m pavilion by The [Den.]. It’s 100% mesh and materials enabled for a land impact of 17. It’s currently available at FaMESHed.

It’s a great furniture piece that has many uses, though I opted to create this relaxing and warm space to sit and ponder or to hang out with family and friends.

Twisted happenings

The [Den.] has come out with a new skybox — the Room 341 out now at the newest round of Uber. The size is 24 x 22 x 6m and is 73 prims. One of the things to note about the builds from this creator is they are easily adaptable to fit whatever need you may have. For example this skybox can easily be used as a personal home or used for a business and modifiable to customize to your liking. The first two pictures top and bottom of the photo below show the bigger room in dark and light lighting. The other two pictures show the skybox as a double without doors, which makes it great for a store.

Featured as well is the decor wall clock by unKindness currently at the monthly Tres Chic event. It’s available in a few colors. The other items by the same creator is the table and ottoman that is below the television at the LTD Event.

To decorate the room above I used items from Finishing Touches. The yellow loungers, rugs, round table with vases and the column shelves with the accessories are the hunt gift by Finishing Touches for the Twisted Hunt. There is one other piece as part of this gift that is not pictured, which is the column shelves as stand alone.

It’s been three years since I last fully did this annual hunt. If I remember correctly you get no hints to find the twisted hunt object and there are dozens and dozens of the same object all over the store. Though the gifts for the hunt were always pretty good as evident by the prize that Finishing Touches has put together for it. There are other accompanying pieces to this set available in gacha at the store.

Love is in the air

There are days when I just want to get into little me and go roaming around on the grid with her. She makes me laugh with her silly jumpy walking. Plus its much more fun dressing her up!

Today I am featuring pretty much everything in the picture. This cute dress and shoes I am wearing are by Stitches and is available at the current round of All The Little Things that just opened and will run until February 21st. The pose used is by p.o.s.e. and is to show the jewelry (not worn) that comes with the pose. The jewelry did not match my outfit, so I will feature them in another post soon.

The South Woods Plus home I previously blogged today. It is by The [Den] and currently available at Uber.

Jian has this collection of posh pups at the new round of The Gacha Garden. I am only showing a few of the whole collection. The dog in the carrier and the dog snuggled in its bed are the rare items in the collection. The dog in the pram is the seed of inspiration item. You will need to visit the event website to get the full scoop on how you get to the seed of inspiration. Though my last known understanding as previously described in a past post is that players will make pulls on their favorite machines as they normally would with any other gacha. Every time a player makes 20 pulls on a single machine, they will receive a special gift called a “Seed of Inspiration” This is a gift by creators to those who play their machine at least 20 times. Those seeds of inspiration gifts will be no copy transferable items so you can trade, sell or keep as you normally would. Though once the event ends, those seeds of inspiration gifts will be retired and will never be made available again.

The remaining decor items being featured are by [CIRCA], which is just in time to help you decorate for Valentine’s Day. The “Love Notes” collection is available in two colors. The amaranth pink as shown or a deep red hue and it’s a mixture of vintage with a modern touch decor pieces that you can mix and match to fit your needs. There are a lot of small details to look out for like the opening drawers on the desk, the heart dangling on the birdcage and desk chair comes with 24 sit animations for both male and female.

The [Den] released a new home called the South Woods Plus, which is a larger version of its South Woods Retreat home featured last year here. It is a lot roomier at 16x21x8m, with a land impact of 56 and is 100% mesh. Available currently at Uber until February 23rd.
