Your teddy bear…

I’m not sure where I got the energy after a long day of travel to go to a local play where the story centered on middle aged people who all had a story. The main characters was a couple who met just after college and then their lives went in different directions.  He’s now a divorced man who was used to a certain way of life and bit bound in tradition.  He was overly polite too and lived life believing something would eventually happen to him, so that he really lived a rather lifeless life in the grips of depression. The woman was 4 times divorced, twice with the same man who had been abusive at least once.

They meet again after 30 years rediscovering themselves and each other as other characters are introduced throughout giving tidbits of practical insight and advice. It was a good play, though a bit confusing to know where it was going until the end where they both decide not to take the second chance they were given. She decides to return to her life of turmoil and he decides not to take the chance and go after her. That’s what I walked away with. It’s really up to you whether you can change or not. The next phase of your life is really in your hands. The possibilities that life holds are there if only you choose to pursue them.

When I finished processing my photo and leaned back in my chair to take a look at it to come up with a title all I could think of was what is she trying to convince her of.  Sort of lead me into reflection on how often we talk to ourselves inside our head. Well I know that I do when I’m wading through muddled thoughts and reasoning out things. Or sometimes arguing with that little voice in our heads that can lead you up or down depending on your own disposition.

Anyways, that’s a bit heavy for a Monday!  Moving on to something much lighter like pointing you to credits to see some of the fashion and decor that I am showcasing today from the Tres Chic Event and other creators that I have the honor of blogging for.

On the farm

The little one was sent to the farm to tend the animals she insists on having. She’s in her tomboy stage wearing baggy pants/jacket top from BoOgErS, available now at the kids event ‘Color Me Cute’.

Girls night in

This is my first attempt at blending two photos together in Photoshop, so hopefully it’s not too bad. While it takes a little work there are some advantages to doing this. One is when you have several things to blog and you are wanting to show more items in a blog post.

I’m showcasing items from the current round of Cosmopolitan that ends on March 26th, so you still have plenty of time to get there and catch some great bargains. I’m also featuring a couple items from On9, another great event that is ongoing until the 28th of March.  The hair worn on the avatar on the floor is by Wasabi Pills, that can be found at Ultra and that event runs until April 15th.

It has been a chaotic week since having to make a quick trip out of town over the weekend past and while I got back sooner than I expected it just feels like my mind and body haven’t caught up.

I’m going to sneak in a fashion post before my originally planned decor post for today.  I was a bit tired to put together the finishing touches on credits and the extra pictures so this one was the easiest to work with.  I’m showcasing one of Wasabi Pills new hairstyles called London, which is out now at the Ultra Event.  It’s short, sweet and stylish.  The pearl necklace is a new release by Lucas Lameth and I thought it fit perfectly with this long dress by United Colors that is currently at Tres Chic. The necklace can be found at the (luc) boutique main store.

The dog is part of a pose by Fashiowl and it’s at the Tres Chic as well.  I had to wear the pose as the sim did not allow rez, so it could be a little off from it’s original pose. There are about 4 poses with the dog.

Happy Sunday! My post is very short as I don’t have much time before I have to finish getting ready to leave town until Tuesday.  I will not be posting until my return as I am not taking a laptop for the short duration.

We were having another cold spell where temperatures dropped into the chilly 30 plus degrees last night and it made me sort of lazy to jump into Second Life even though it was my 6th Rez Day. Instead I snuggled under covers and read.  This meant I didn’t take any photos to blog and then when I attempted to log in today I found that they were doing maintenance so login was disabled for some.

In short, I finally made it in-world to put this scene together, process the photos and mark down credits, which I am leaving you to peruse as it’s close to dinner time.
