Playhouse ruckus

Showing some cute stuff for the toddleedoo, which can be found at a couple of events that are specifically for the children avatars in Second Life. Buglets has a playhouse gacha set at the current round of The Play Room, which started August 5th and runs through August 31st. The set includes the rare playhouse that is not pictured here, but is shown in the gacha key shown at the bottom of this post. Along with the 1 rare there are 14 commons, most of which are shown in this picture and detailed below.

Most everyone knows BoOgErS for its line of toys and children furniture. Do you know that the creator behind the store has now started to make clothes for children too? Sydney’s little friend is wearing a top and shorts by BoOgErS, which can be found at La Boutque until August 26th. Several choices of tops and shorts that can all work together and comes with two versions to fit both kids and toddleedoos.

Go and make your little one happy by giving them their own playhouse to play in.

I just know this is for me, I think

When I was a child me and my siblings used to love when my paternal grandmother would visit because often times she would bring with her those big vintage trunks full of stuff for us. The trunks would contain some gift for my dad, little knickknacks for my mom and clothes and toys for us. Even when she wasn’t visiting she would always send us these big packages in the mail that always included something for us. We loved her surprises.

These new mailboxes by BoOgErS were the kind we used to have when I was growing up and remind me of that long ago happy memory. Speaking of these mail boxes, they are no ordinary kind. The mail boxes and gate make sounds when you click to open them, giving you or anyone who touches them a little fun. They are currently available at the new round of Shiny Shabby that just started so you have plenty of time to go grab your own.

I didn’t do these shrubs very much justice in the picture today, though will plan on featuring them again soon. They are a new item by Jian and come in sizes small to tall and also a hedge, including their hud system of being able to change the season. You can find them at the main store.

A while back Dust Bunny had a fabulous sale at their store, where everything was basically just fifty lindens. I was familiar with the store from the various gachas they participated in, though rarely if at all gone to the main store. I instantly fell in love with these gable townhouses, because they also brought a long ago memory to mind of the “Rainbow Row” of historic houses in Charleston, South Carolina. If you haven’t been it’s a great city to visit, and this is just one of the main tourist attractions to visit.

Doing a quick post to show the cute swimsuits for the little ones that Buglets has out now at the Fiction & Fables monthly event that began on July 7th and will run a whole month, so plenty of time to get your own swimsuit to enjoy your Second Life summer. It’s a two piece mesh swimsuit that is actually just one item wear, so it’s easy peasy to put on. I’m wearing the rose colored version, but you can find it in lilac, sky, mint and peach at the event.

With the sweltering heat lately, this is a perfect swimwear in any life.

Playing house

The little ones like to play house or sometimes like in this case take over the house. Showing some items for the little ones today. These tents are from Buglets as a gacha item and can be found at the current round of The Play Room. There are 10 commons and 1 rare and come with 12 poses for you and a friend. It’s low impact at only 3 land impact. I’m on the setting up pose, but did use my handy dandy animare hud to move my head around so I could face the camera. You know we little ones are vain like that.

I’m also wearing some new nails also by Buglets, which can be found at the store. The cabin nails comes in lots of colors and each color comes with four options. I’m showing the ads below so you can get an idea of the colors for both items.

Summer days drifting away

Since joining Second Life I have only lived on a sandy beach sim during the first few months of joining and having bought land to live on. It was enjoyable for a while until I moved to a grassy sim and that seemed to suit me much better. I haven’t wavered from that ever since. Though, I must say it’s been enjoyable doing up these scenes and having that feeling of my feet running through the sand and basking in the hot sun.

To help you set up your own summer paradise Kuro is also participating in this round of The Challenge with this wooden beach cabana called the Easy Breeze. It’s 100% mesh and comes with single and couple animations. It’s on discount during the time of the event that runs from the 1st to the 20th and you can find it at the Kuro main store.

Shutter Field also has the beach deck chairs made exclusively for Best of SL Magazine readers and discounted for the month of July. The chairs come with male and female sits and can be found at the Shutter Field main store.

The last item is worn by little me. You know what happens when you spend too much time out in the hot sun. Yep, you get a sunburn. Buglets has created the sunburn and war paint set that includes tattoo layers and toddleedoo mesh head appliers for the Hello Beautiful Event. You get 8 options with each set, that has 4 levels of sunburn with or without war paint. Lil me is wearing one with war paint, because she likes being a little warrior too.

Laundry Schedule: Sort today, wash later, fold eventually and iron… ha ha

It’s the last day of the month and that means starting tomorrow a whole new round of events begin. One of these events is “All The Little Things,” a monthly event for the little ones centered around a monthly theme. This new round is all about “Saturday Morning” and will begin on July 5th. Here are just a few things you can find.

The cute jumper that has cats all over it worn by lil me is from Cottontail. Two other gender neutral colors can also be found at the event. The retro television by Little Llama does remind me of my Saturday mornings growing up watching cartoons on a television almost just like that one. The screen is texture change to other kid friendly pictures or you can just add your own as well. The pillow is also by Little Llama and I textured the plain pillow, but you can find three other patterned pillows that come with 5 sitting animations at the event.

So does anyone iron these days?

Days of yesterday

It’s definitely summer here in my real world living in Florida. The temperature is registering at 94^°F even though it feels more like beyond 100^°F, especially with humidity being at about 44% and relatively no wind to help. If you’re experiencing the same summer heat here in Second Life, then BoOgErS is here to help with these cute playful summer stuff for the kids out now at Summerfest ’15. The pool has some cute animations like the two shown here, of floating and doing the happy dance.

I remember these pools when I was a kid and we used a regular yawn sprinkler with the water hose to have the most amazing fun. Those were some good ole days. BoOgErS has also just introduced their first outfit, which part of it is the drawstring shorts in black with stars. Don’t I wish to have at least half the boundless energy that lil me displays when I bring her out to play. The animation override that I use for her has her jumping all over the place and she can run circles around you leaving you panting and out of breath before you catch her. Though she gets plumb tuckered out too and needs to sit and relax, otherwise she’s big time cranky. Of course, I speak from experience here as I just woke up from an hour nap in real life. Buglets has the perfect little checkered pillows for toddleedoos at Fiction & Fables that come in several colors and animations for sitting and laying. Just what the little one needs when you need her to stay still.

Lots of goodies for the little ones as well around the grid. I am wearing some the new boots by Buglets that are gacha at this round of the The Play Room. There are two rares and fourteen commons and truly you can’t go wrong with any color you get. I’m wearing the rose colored ones and to give you an idea of the other colors just take a look around my messy room. I am also wearing some cute floral sunglasses that I tipped up, but these come with a color HUD to change the lens, frame and flowers. You can hardly see the pretty nails I am wearing, but if you want some fun colors then stop by Hello Beautiful and pick these up. See the snapshot below to see all the pretty colors for the shoes, glasses and nails.

Every princess deserves her own castle and Heart Homes just released this new castle bed that has an abundance of animations with props for toddlers and parents. You can find the bed and the huggable toys that are on the bed at the Dreams Fair.
