It’s a lazy Sunday for sure in both worlds.  Kuro has made a batch of breakfast pancakes for us to enjoy and is available today for Lazy Sunday.  The delicious looking pancakes come on a stand with a land impact of one.  You can find them at the main store.

Today,  I am also featuring this rustic bench by unKindness, which is their participation to The Lexi Project.  If you’re not familiar already with unKindness, it is a relatively new home and furniture store on the grid.  I look forward to showing you more of their stuff in the near future.  The bench will be available in both PG and Adult version, with single and couple animations and adult animations in the adult version.

In the meantime let me share with you The Lexi Project.  The owner of AngelRed Couture was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Second Life residents have banned together to support her by collaborating on a fundraiser to raise funds to help her with some of her medical expenses.  There are about 350 brands supporting this project, from apparel, decor, poses, skin, hair and so much more with 100% of the proceeds going directly to this cause.

The event is scheduled to open its doors Sunday, July 26th at midnight SL time.  If you would like to know more or interested in how to donate, please visit the The Lexi Projec blog.  I’ve included some more links at the bottom of the credits.

As I read her post on her blog, it was heart wrenching and my thoughts and prayers were sent up immediately for her and her family.  If you’re able to, please help support this event.

Bandana Day Kit 2015 Every year since 2007 we have celebrated the last day of Hair Fair, with Bandana Day. This is the day we remove our hair to show we care, and wear the Bandanas that Residents have created for us to sell at this event. It is a wonderful tradition, and lets all Second Life Residents have the oppurtunity to contribute in some way to help Wigs for Kids. On9 opened with a new round today and Shutter Field is participating with this daybed, one of three colors, that has single and couple animations.  It makes a great addition to your decor outdoors or indoor for that matter.  I could not help and smile when I heard the song “dear future husband” for the first time as I was taking this picture. The pop and doo-wop song is about a woman listing the qualities she requires in a potential romantic suitor.  It’s comical to my quirky sense of humor, because my scene consists of a church and liberty torch, part of the Statue of Liberty, known as the american iconic symbol of freedom.  It’s also modeled after the Goddess of Liberty, who also represented freedom from tyranny and oppression.

So dear future husband of mine…  I think it’s a sign that I should demand ask nicely to keep some of my freedom.

Another post today as I want to show another item at the Home Show.  This picnic set from Dysfunctional Designs comes with single and couple animations as well as a texture change menu for the blanket and also comes with some props for the animations.  I went with blue as its one of my favorite colors.

I would rather much be on a picnic as the weather in real life is actually perfect for a picnic. Instead I have to spend the next few hours finishing up a driving course online as a result of that violation I received a couple of months ago.  I don’t mind doing it, but I dislike that I can’t even skip ahead as they have this system developed so that you can’t fudge on the time to take the course, which is a maximum of 4 hours.  So I’ll be exercising my patience in the next while.

I’m fighting a little bit of a headache today and hoping some distraction might just be the thing to forget about it.   If you haven’t heard of Little Branch, they are behind some lovely landscaping products like these field of red poppies. They are exceptionally well done and realistic and make for a great addition to your landscape.  They can be found at the newest round at the Cosmopolitan Sales Room.

I am wearing a dress along with the head and neck handkerchiefs and the rose, which are gacha items at this month’s round of Shiny Shabby.  If you haven’t been then you should as they have some lovely items that depict the theme, “For the love of Russia.” M.Birdie did an excellent job with this dress that is in the style of the Matryoshka, which are those cute nesting dolls that are known as a traditional symbol of the Russian culture.  I’ve always loved these dolls and actually have my very own set from Russia. They were a nice gift from a friend who has a daughter that was born there.

I am traveling over the weekend and when I left home early morning it was 80 plus degree weather and now I’m shivering in mid 40’s degree weather.  I’m not complaining when my brother in Texas said weather predictions indicated they were going to get some snow.  Even though it’s weather I’m not used to, it’s always a welcome change here and then.

If you’re in need of some friendly company that will buzz sweet nothings in your ear, these dragon flies are just the ticket.   Dysfunctional Designs has them out for 50L Friday today and at least until Saturday night before it goes full price.  You just rez them out and set the radius and texture of your choice and then activate them.  I personally love to have animated animals and weather stuff, because it just makes the experience a little more enjoyable.

I’m wearing some cute items from MoDANNA that you can find at the newest round of anyBODY that begins tomorrow and will run until the 31st of March.  The top is part of a two-piece body suit that comes in system layers and also appliers.  You will have several bodysuits to choose from.   The mesh jean jacket will come in various colors and the boyfriend jeans also come in a few colors choices and can be found at the store.

Black and White

This picture was a result of over thinking and not knowing when to quit while I’m ahead.  Shakes head at self.   I had this idea in my mind of what I wanted the outcome to be and yet I couldn’t quite grasp it with anything I tried.  Everything from Second Life being wonky to not being able to find a wind-light that I liked.   That’s when I should have known better and just stopped and tried doing this another time.  I just finally said the heck with it and made it black and white and infused with a little sepia and called it a night.

We are having a little bit of a cold front here with a chill in the air and the wind is howling outside as I sit here typing this.   That means the birthday party I am heading to in the next hour is going to be moved inside, which means the noise level in a relatively small house is going to be unbearable after an hour.   Is it so bad that I am already thinking of an excuse of why I need to leave early?   Oh well… have a great Saturday everyone.

Sometimes there is no turning back…

Every now and then I’ll have regret over something that I did or didn’t do or something said or not said.  In the last couple of years I’ve taken more of a stance to keep my thoughts to myself not out of fear or the fear of the repercussions. I think it’s a learned behavior and taking on an attitude of trying to maintain the peace — maybe more my peace of mind than anything else.  I can’t control anyone’s actions or behavior either way, though I can control mine.  Being of the stubborn sort I tend to get into that place of becoming resolved and making a decision and there is no turning back.  That doesn’t mean I am inflexible, though more cases than not…  I’ll live with the consequences even if it means heartache and sleepless nights.  In the end it’s all about what is in your best interest.

Enough of my self-analytic babble.
