Learning to relax and let go is a must these days

This is where I wish to be right now, because who doesn’t need some relaxation from some of the stresses in their life right now. My day hasn’t started out as planned and I’m running into some road blocks, but I’m at the point that I’m just going to let it be what it will be.

To thine own self be true

Morning everyone, even though that by the time that I finish writing this it will be gone into afternoon. I had such a long day yesterday, where the majority of it was spent in one room after another just waiting and patience isn’t my strongest suit. Though yesterday is over and today is another day and while my body is still sickly my mind is sharp.

Today is a mixed post of fashion and decor. Jules, fellow blogger and now friend said something that resonated and I’ve often thought of myself. Are we a bit redundant talking about everything we’re showing when it’s all listed in credits? For the most part and I would say 99% of bloggers only blog what they like and reviewing is literally absent.

I think what most of us do is give sneak previews or showcase items in how we may dress up a fashion item or decor or landscape the various genres of items we receive. Often giving inspiration to others who may not know how to fit something into a room, home, land or even their bodies.  I for one lack the fashion skills that others have to find the perfect jewelry and makeup to accessorize my look. It’s a bit of laziness to go digging in my inventory and just because I use the very minimal in real life as well that it’s carried over into SL.  That’s one thing to love about the diversity of blogs we follow. I get to be awed by seeing how you fashionistas out there look and put yourself together and envy you just a little.

Anyways, I’ve rambled on long enough and here we are at credits. All great stuff right?

Saltwater Cottage

Morning everyone.  I hope it was a pleasant weekend for all of you, mine was fine up until I started to get a cold and now I’m all sniffles and shakes and all that crappy stuff you feel when it’s at the onset.  I’m trying to desperately shake off before it gets any worse, because I have so much to do in both worlds.

Today I am showcasing a couple of things starting with this marine edition of the saltwater cottage by Thistle Homes for May’s Builders Box.  If you’re not familiar with this subscription event, visit the Builders Box website for more information but I’ll give you a short and sweet version.

It’s a pre-order event that only happens quarterly, and every box is full of homes, skyboxes and other types of buildings. If you order before the release date the price is lower and you get to be surprised as you won’t be able to view what you purchased until the release day. Or if you rather see the items beforehand, then you pay the higher price once the release day reveals the creations for the month. This is one of the lovely homes in this month’s box — below credits find more specifics on the home. I’ll be showcasing a few more in the coming weeks and next two months.

The other item that I am showing is the beach path set by 22769 out now at We ❤ Role-Play. I listed every piece that I used, but there are still a few pieces not shown. It’s great addition if you have land on water.

Happy Sunday to everyone. I’m a bit wordy today, so to break up the text I moved the picture to the middle. If you just look at my pretty pictures.. sorry, you have to just scroll down a little to find it.

It’s still fairly early at that start of writing this and if you know anything about me then you might know that I’m definitely not a morning person. Though over the last 15 years sleeping in even after staying up late hasn’t been much of an option.

Though I’m sure that I’ll fall prey to a nap this afternoon, especially as I’m not feeling too great and the reason I hit the bed early last night. I think my body wants to catch a cold and I’m all sniffles this morning.

Before I forget and mention what I’m showcasing today I want to give a shout out to a silent follower of mine from Spain who left me a very nice message yesterday. It made me smile the rest of the day when I read it. It’s always nice to hear from someone on how much they enjoy your blog and appreciate what you do. I don’t say it enough, but I am appreciate to everyone who follows, reads or just enjoys my pictures.

Now for what I am showing today — more great items to be found at 6th Republic, which opened its doors yesterday.  This event is based on Europe, so every designer got to choose what part of Europe they wanted to represent. The Hive has this cute seaside shack with 11-15 land impact that comes in a raised or non-raised and with or without doors and two subtle color versions inspired from Cornwall, UK county beaches. I’m using one with doors, but did remove the scripts to keep the doors open.  If you peek just inside you see the rug and the lamp on the table that are from CMYK, another creator participating at the 6th Republic event.  These are created representing Greece.

The last items being shown are the decor plants by 22769.  These are available at Shiny Shabby that runs until May 15th.  The 6th Republic is open until May 20th, so you still have plenty of time to get to these two events to grab the latest and greatest!

The Old Brewery

I’m super excited to have been selected as a blogger for this round of 6th Republic, which starts tomorrow.  Today’s post is featuring The Old Brewery from Schultz Bros., who I actually already blog for so I received it a few days earlier to get it posted today. I was amazed at all the pieces to this gacha, which you can find the gacha key here.  It was a bit overwhelming at first when I rezzed all the pieces out and thinking how does all this go together.

Well I’m pretty happy with the outcome. There are 20 pieces to collect, of which 18 are common and 2 rares with 1 special price after 25 plays.  The cost of the gacha is 50L per play.

Looking forward to showing you some great items in the coming days from this event.

I have just under 20 minutes to get this post done and picture posted onto Flickr, so hopefully it’s done without any mishaps.  Today’s post is to showcase JIAN’s newest release of a chicken coop and nest at FaMESHed, which is texture change. The chicken roaming around are a previous release from JIAN for Fifty Linden Friday. You’ll find these at the main store now.

The multi purpose shed with all the gardening items is from a fairly new home and garden store called {Meraki}, you can find these items on marketplace.  The items are non-attached so you can also use them individually, which is a great plus.

The animated puppies are all from TLC Home Collection.  They are just adorable. You can find the gacha key here to see the rest of the collection. This can be found at the current round of Cosmopolitan.

Then the last items being shown is the vintage wheelbarrow and hay stack by [ETNIA], available now at Shiny Shabby.  They are available in several colors and the throw over it is texture change.

I’m not sure why I have the song “Demons” by Imagine Dragons on my mind as I can’t recall listening to this song in the last days.  In any case I like the song and I thought to listen to it while I put this post together.

Today’s post is showing some more decor items from this current round of Cosmopolitan, which is the lace bed, mirror, table on the side of the bed, letters tied with a string and a candle from Duvet Day (gacha key) and the lamp from ChiC buildings.  The Pudgy Persians is a new gacha set from Jian at the Gacha Garden.  You can find the gacha key to this set here.

The rest of the decor is listed below, but I am using the whole “Show You the Way” gacha set by Haikei, available now at Kustom9.  I don’t blog for them, though I would love to, but find the gacha key here.
