I don’t consider myself a coffee drinker.  I rarely drink it and probably only when it’s really cold and someone is making it and some dessert accompanies it.  I never liked the aftertaste of coffee though the flavored coffee creamers has helped me drink it a lot easier.  I’m not really sure why I’m talking coffee, other than it became my title when I was writing credits and the one item was named coffee with milk and it stuck in my head.

The furniture that I’m using in this post is by [ETNIA] and it’s still currently at this round of Shiny Shabby that ends in a couple of days, so you still have time to grab it.  I love the old textures and the Caribbean feel to the whole set.  The hanging yellow flowers are by Mesh India and it’s one item in their gacha set at Cosmopolitan.  I’m also wearing hair by No.Match also at this event.

The summery top and bottom are by Cellar Door and are at this round of We ❤ Role-Play. The perfect outfit for spring weather.  The shoes also another great spring wardrobe item are by Empire and are at this round of Chapter Four.

I’m home now and trying to do a little catch-up in opening boxes and organizing so that I can get some more pictures ready for the coming days.

One day closer to the weekend seems to be the best day.  It’s also a holiday weekend too. I don’t have any Easter plans as of now, but I’m really looking forward to relaxing if nothing else. I’ve got lots of boxes to open up from a couple of events that I blog for, so that’s part of the no plans.  Maybe I’m going to go distract fellow blogger Exis, good friend since we’ve met in-world and fabulous dancer too, because I’ve been away and by now she’s missed me. Chuckles.

Far from home, but closer than ever

It’s a lovely Tuesday morning, despite it being 81°F outdoors and if you add the humidity on top of that it’s pretty uncomfortable for someone who isn’t used to the heat. I’m used to it. Preferably indoors with air condition and a refreshing drink. That reminds me that I have a mango to slice into later on.

I’m not sure where I got the energy after a long day of travel to go to a local play where the story centered on middle aged people who all had a story. The main characters was a couple who met just after college and then their lives went in different directions.  He’s now a divorced man who was used to a certain way of life and bit bound in tradition.  He was overly polite too and lived life believing something would eventually happen to him, so that he really lived a rather lifeless life in the grips of depression. The woman was 4 times divorced, twice with the same man who had been abusive at least once.

They meet again after 30 years rediscovering themselves and each other as other characters are introduced throughout giving tidbits of practical insight and advice. It was a good play, though a bit confusing to know where it was going until the end where they both decide not to take the second chance they were given. She decides to return to her life of turmoil and he decides not to take the chance and go after her. That’s what I walked away with. It’s really up to you whether you can change or not. The next phase of your life is really in your hands. The possibilities that life holds are there if only you choose to pursue them.

Let’s stay home today

Happy Saturday everyone. I am literally going to stay home most of the day as I have to pack for a short trip away from tomorrow until Thursday.  I am taking a laptop so I’ll get to post as I normally do and be able to log in to SL.  Though I really dislike using a laptop for getting things done in-world so I’m taking advantage of a free day today to get a good portion of my pictures done so all I have to do is fix up credits and post and upload them into flickr.

Today I’m wearing a relatively new hairstyle by Tetra, as it was a previous release at the last round of Uber and can now be found at the main store.  It’s a gorgeous hair that comes in 2 sizes: fitted and unrigged, which means you can resize and reposition the hair as you like.  The top and shorts are new as well and both from recently closed events, so these too can be found at their respective main stores listed in credits. I’ve blogged these shoes before though they’re quite lovely to use over and over again. They’re called Waterlily and are by Empire and still at the N21 event that goes on for a few more days.

The decor I’m featuring is the lounger, which is by Shutter Field in collaboration with Decor Junction.  It’s available in a dark and light version and it’s at the Crossroads event. I must point out that the pose I’m using is my own created specifically to show off the shoes, so it’s not part of the lounger. The other item there as well is the organic rust vases by Merak, which I think can work in just about any decorating style you may choose.

Introduction to Builder’s Box

Coming soon is a new subscription box dedicated to nothing but homes, sky-boxes and other builds.  This one is quarterly to give designers plenty of time to produce quality over quantity and you plenty of time to enjoy what you receive in each box.

You can learn all about this new subscription box at the Builder’s Box website and pre-ordering is available at in in-world location or through marketplace for $2,000 until April 15th. The cost will increase once release day comes, so better to get this early.
