I had good intentions to take the week between Christmas and the New Year to organize my inventory a little.  It didn’t quite work out that way and it had more to do with not being in the right frame of mind to tackle such a project right now.  Though it needs to happen fairly soon as I am getting ready to tip a number I never expected to reach and it really amazes me that I am still able to function.

I finally got around to opening some more of my arcade purchases and used a few pieces to go along with this bedroom furniture that is part of the “Gold & White” Gacha set by Bee Designs. It should be available at the main store or will be in a few days.

I hope to get one or two more posts in before the New Year and maybe then take a small break.

A friend asked if I wanted to do a photo together before the year ended and I gladly said yes.  It was fun to do and it was something different as it can get a little static just doing pictures of yourself.  Collaborating with others from time to time is something that I would probably enjoy doing in the future. While I’ve been asked a few times by people on Flickr I have not readily accepted their offers to collaborate for a few reasons, mainly timing and I don’t know them even though I may follow their work or vice versa and they’ve been of the opposite sex.

I sort of been told this is an old trick in the book for trying to hook up. While I am not saying that is the reason for the invites to collaborate it certainly raises its ugly head in the thought process of deciding whether it’s something I want to do or not. Though we have a whole new year ahead of us and something different would be a welcome change.

Today’s collaboration is with Lotus Mastroianni, who is an established blogger and a friend.  If you’re not familiar with her work, go check her out.  She’s great at what she does.

Today has been a day of baking in preparation for tomorrow and I am lucky to have several sisters and also a niece, so that we get to share in the making of desserts and food.  Today I got assigned making a fudge candy, another milk chocolate dessert and apple bread. The last being a family favorite, which I’ve been making ever since my aunt shared her recipe with me on a trip to Seattle back in 2007.

Though I wanted to take some time to come blog my Christmas post, so that I could wish all my readers, fellow bloggers and everyone who drops by a very blessed Merry Christmas.  May your day be filled with love and laughter, no matter who you spend it with.

I mentioned in my last post that I had decorated a whole cottage with all Christmas decor.  It was mainly to relax and get my mind off other things and also because I didn’t want to leave things unpacked without at least looking at them even if I didn’t get around to using. Today I thought to show it with several photos, plus it helps to have a visual for any future use.

For the most part they are items received as Christmas Gifts at ongoing events, advents, hunts, group or subscriber gifts.  I will list the sources below under credits, though not individually as it would take a lot of time of which I don’t have.

I hope everyone is enjoying the spirit of the holidays.  Also, unrelated to this post. I forgot to mention in my “Tidings of Comfort & Joy” blog post on Wednesday, the free Christmas gift by eXxEsS.  The hair shown in that post with Christmas baubles on each side is this year’s holiday gift.  You can take a peek here and find it the main store.

A few things to note. All the gifts by the La Galleria are for being a subscriber and most of them should still be available if you sign up at the landing point and click the history to grab the weekly note cards to see where the gifts are located.

The gifts at the arcade if you didn’t notice were under the huge Christmas tree right in the middle of the arcade.

Unfortunately, the Chapter Four event is over and you missed out if you didn’t grab them before the event was over. Most of the events and hunts listed are over at the end of the month. The advent gifts for this year’s KittyCatS are all still available just by clicking each day.  The gifts at Midwinter Fair are available without needing group space at the event until December 31st. Plus make sure you check out all the other wonderful stuff at the event as it has some great home and garden as well as great fashion too though it’s more fantasy related.

There is quite a few pieces by [CIRCA], which are part of their Holiday Advent Tree. You do have to join a free group in-world and items cost from $1-$75 lindens and some at $0 lindens. Each day items are added and kept circulating for 3 days. I didn’t receive these items until a few days ago so this is short notice as I mentioned in my post yesterday, but the gifts from days 8-24 will still be available starting tomorrow as the advent tree for those days will be opened again.

Nostalgia

This year has been a bit busier than what I remember it being previous years. I know in large it’s due to taking on more blogging commitments and I recognize that simply from the fact that I have yet to open a quarter of my arcade items that were purchased and not given to me as a blogger package.  I really have no problem with it. If I didn’t enjoy this I simply wouldn’t do it.

I also have not had time to unpack some of the advent or hunt gifts I find as I am always on the lookout for home and garden decor.  I find hunts are sometimes one of the best sources for me finding more one of a kind items or the unusual or even home decor stores I wasn’t aware of.

So last night I decorated a whole cottage with a bunch of Christmas decor mostly from decor items received from hunts, advent and group gifts and maybe a few other pieces bought or given through a blogger pack.  It gave me a feeling of nostalgia and a small dose of guilt of not doing it sooner.

Today I’m showcasing a new hair style by Tukinowaguma that’s available at Tres Chic. It’s a sweet and stylish updo that’s perfect for those holiday parties as is the Antonina dress by Fame Femme, that has a fun bow going down the open back that adds a little sexiness to the dress.  Both of these items can be found in different colors at the event.

The decor being featured is by [CIRCA], which are items in their Holiday Advent Tree. There is a group that you need to join, it’s the [CIRCA] Living – Christmas Advents (in-world) and it’s free to new members.  Each day items have been added to the squares on the wall tree near the inside entrance. Items do cost from $1 – $75 lindens and some even at $0 lindens.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get these items until a couple of days ago, so it’s a bit of a short notice and hopefully she will leave them out a bit longer as the group will be closing the Eve of Dec. 24th.  The wall strip art in red plaid is  available currently at the Midwinter Fair.

Edited: A note on the advent for [CIRCA].  The creator will be opening the advent for days 8-24 on December 24th, so you will still have time to grab anything you like from those days.

Happy tidings and all that.  It was a crazy morning of errands and my good intentions of trying to post first thing seems to have flown out the door a long time ago.  Though better late than never will be my new phrase now as I get to posting later in the day.  Today I am showing a mixture of fashion and decor and took some additional pictures in clear lighting so that you would be able to get a good look at everything.

I’m wearing a lovely snowflake necklace by AvaWay that is 100% original mesh and textures that comes with a hud giving you the option of 4 metal textures and 8 for each group of stones.  The trenchcoat is by Hilly Haalan and also driven by hud to provide you with 3o textures of colors.  It also includes a scarf that can be worn or hidden as not shown on my picture.

The clutch I’m using is by Mulloy and it’s the rare regular in the set of 8 commons and 1 rare.  The cute boots I’m wearing are by Belle Epoque and there are 10 colors available at the event. They also come with a hud for 3 choices on changing the color of the socks. All these items can be found at this round of Tres Chic that is open until January 5th.

The remaining items being featured today are all decor.  The cottage with elf decor and deer along with shrubs, tree and wreath decor are all items in the Christmas Time Gacha by Bee Designs at The Chapter Four event.  I really love these elf decor as they make the holiday even more fun and magical. The wooden starlite box decor near the columns of the cottage are by unKindness.  They were made as a VIP group gift for the magazine and will be available  in group notices from 14 December for 14 days.  I’ve included some information on the magazine below credits.

The 2017 sign and bicycle with Christmas gifts in the basket are the other pieces. The mistletoe hanging from the garden pole is the advent gift at the event. Today I’m featuring a pop corky game by THOR that is available at the main store. It makes for a good Christmas gift for those who enjoy playing games. Mandatory to play the Game are :

++Touch the Giver to deliver the Thrower [ ..::THOR::.. Bottle Cap Thrower (wear-me!) ]
++Accept it and wear as is or add it (worn on right hand)
Once worn the system will log You automatically to the Game Server.
Chat will announce the login,
You have two Game Modes.
You can select these clicking the barrel.
Touching the Barrel it will display a menu.

**Wild Mode : no turns, just throw the corks, the first player that reaches the target point wins.
**Turns Mode : Starting from the 1st logged player all player will throw and following the login order.
The 1st player that at the end of the turns reaches the target point wins.

Hover Text on the barrel will display the player points and turn.
Go Mouselook and hold left mouse button to charge throw power.
Min Power is 1, Max power is 12 .
Avatar will play a “charge” animation,
Point the Crossair in the desired position.
Avatar arms will be in “aiming position”.
Upon the right hand you will see the
|||||||||||| increasing till the maximum allowed (12).

Of course you can release the hold before it reaches the Max
to launch the corks at lower speed.

Once the left mouse button is release,
the avatar will play a throw animation, throwing the cork.

While flying the cork will leave a trail (it will vanish in 7 seconds)
to allow the players to see the the ballistic trajectory,
and adjust the aim in the following shots.

Touch the Barrel for menu ( just logged player will be able to display a menu )

** Select the Target Hit Point : 50 or 100
** Select : Reset to Reset the game
(Game will store anyway the game mode set in his long term memory)
