Something a little different today. I am featuring poses by [evoLove], which are available now at the ongoing round of Genre. Gave me a good reason to get into a bikini too!

I do want to point out that this bikini that I am wearing is not made to fit the Maitreya body.  I had to make a body adjustment so that the fabric wasn’t hanging or going into my skin too much, though afterwards looked good enough to wear.

The head I am wearing is a new static head by Catwa, which is relatively inexpensive for $100 lindens.  It comes as is without any expressions and no updates will be made available. You will have to buy a skin applier for both the head and body, which will raise your cost eventually. I’m not making changes to my regular head, but thought it be useful for blogging.  I was fortunate to have a skin from some hunt and saved it just for this kind of purpose and I just worked with the skin sliders on the maitreya hud to get a close match.

Battle of the Bear Bands

I was happily surprised when I opened up the blogger package of bears from BoOgErS for the upcoming round of The Arcade that starts on June 1st, because of what they represent.  It’s musical bear bands.

You see my father was a musician and his love of music was profound. It was his passion. He played the accordion since he was just a young kid. In his last years my dad still played every now and then with local groups and I recall one or two times where he participated in events where they had battle of the bands.  I don’t think he cared much about winning.. for him it was just doing something he loved.

Today is the anniversary of his passing and so I brought little me out to play the accordion in remembrance of him.  As you can see I suffered a little stage fright.

The band bears gacha will be 25L per play.  There are 15 commons, 2 rares, and 1 reward, which is something new.  You can get details on the player reward system on their website as well under news.

The other new thing with this June round is that there will be two identical Sims to shop from and two identical homestead sims to cam shop from.

I don’t know if I ever really bottled up things inside. It probably depended on what it was and if I did it was probably not for long. More often the case as quick as I was to get angered I was quick to cool down.

These days I rarely hold back my tongue, though I am very diplomatic in nature… well most of the time.

Today I’m showing this furniture set by Mushilu that is available at Whimsical. The set includes the rose color dresser, book lamp and the table with some of the bottles.

I’m also featuring the mushrooms right outside the door.  These are the latest landscaping decor by Little Branch.  They are available now at the newest round of Shiny Shabby.  On touch you can change the color of the mushrooms.

Showing three more outfits for the little ones for Fashion Week.  All the details of the PENUMBRA Fashion Week shows are below the credits.

Most people that are close to me know these two things about me.  I’m not a morning person and I am not a cat person.  This past Friday I had dinner with two close friends at one of the women’s home.  She has two dogs, which I don’t mind about. Though since I was last there she has acquired a cat that had been hanging around her office and out of compassion she took the cat in.  The cat was in her daughter’s room and I was happy for that.

After we had dinner the subject came back around to this cat and my friend was sharing how she needed to find a home for this cat as she’s allergic to them, hence the cat being in the room.  She was going on about how sweet this cat was and how pretty it was that my other friend said I want to take a look at the cat. Out of politeness I got up to go take a peak as well and almost immediately I started to itch around my face.  I ended up breaking out in a slight rash by the end of the evening. I’m not sure if that means I’m allergic to cats as I’m never usually around any long enough to know.

Anyways, I don’t mind cats in Second Life as they make for a pretty picture.

PENUMBRA Fashion Week is happening all this week and I’m showing a few more outfits.  The outfits in picture 1 and 3 are by BoWillow.  Their part in the showcase this week was Monday, but you can still find their fabulous designs at the event this week.  The outfit in picture 2 is by Baby Burp and they will be showcasing their fashions today, so go enjoy some toddleedoo fun and go watch the fashion show!

Over the weekend on Sunday after having dinner with family members we all enjoyed time together playing cornhole.  It’s a lawn game where players take turns throwing bags of corn at a raised board that has a hole at the far end of it. I’m not much of a sports person, but it’s always fun getting into the spirit of playing with my family.

Though playing with some of my siblings means you have to be able to handle their intended good nature teasing.  My younger brother is a big sports fanatic whose played sports since he was young.  He loved to taunt me that I took after the other side of the family when my throws didn’t quite make it.  I had to remind him that at least I wasn’t whining and crying like he did when I beat him at marbles when we were young.

Well this month Genre is back with a sports theme.  Today I’m featuring this gold trophy by Bliensen + MaiTai, which is available now at the newest round that started on May 15th and will run through June 12th. I’m showing only the 1st place trophy, but there is a 2nd and 3rd place trophies as well.

I was after boxing gloves when I played this gacha and ended up getting the mystery item, which is the boxing ring that came in handy for this post. Most of the items except the top and shorts that are from Collabor88 this month are gacha items and detailed below.
