Eenie meenie miney mo

There are days and many here lately where I can be driven to drink. I’m just thankful that I’ve never been inclined to taking a drink to solve my problems. I’m not much of a drinker at all. I think I’ve mentioned this before on my blog a time or too. One glass of wine is enough sometimes to get me tipsy. Anything beyond that I’m in peril of my own tongue.

Even though it wasn’t planned this way. Tonight as I write this blog I am disposed to celebrate as I got to reconnect with a certain someone, who continues to be someone important in my life. I toast to the cherished bond we have. Cheers Italiano!

The luggage trolley I am sitting on is a new creation by unKindness and is currently available at the Love to Decorate Event, that will run from August 10th to August 24th. It comes in four versions: iron, silver, gold or bronze with custom made poses – two for men, two for women and two for couples. It’s a fun piece in my book.

I also want to share some of the goodies I just recently found. The Paris penthouse skybox I am using is from Barnesworth Anubis and is currently at Collabor88 for only 88 lindens! It’s a steal and makes for a fabulous starter home or for anyone who has limited prims to use or lindens. The other bargain and it really is a bargain! The remaining furniture minus the alcohol are from Apple Fall and can all be purchased for $0 lindens. I was surprised myself to find all these wonderful items for free. I went to the main store to find a pendent lamp, which is a group gift this month and couldn’t find it and then had to resort to area search. It was during that area search for a $0 linden group gift that I discovered the rest of the furniture. Except, the frame with the flower, which can be found right now at FaMESHed with his items this month.

If you look further you might find some other items at $0 lindens throughout the store and many items have also been reduced as well. Great time to shop at Apple Fall. The bottles and glass are from [kunst] and can be found at the main store.

Playhouse ruckus

Showing some cute stuff for the toddleedoo, which can be found at a couple of events that are specifically for the children avatars in Second Life. Buglets has a playhouse gacha set at the current round of The Play Room, which started August 5th and runs through August 31st. The set includes the rare playhouse that is not pictured here, but is shown in the gacha key shown at the bottom of this post. Along with the 1 rare there are 14 commons, most of which are shown in this picture and detailed below.

Most everyone knows BoOgErS for its line of toys and children furniture. Do you know that the creator behind the store has now started to make clothes for children too? Sydney’s little friend is wearing a top and shorts by BoOgErS, which can be found at La Boutque until August 26th. Several choices of tops and shorts that can all work together and comes with two versions to fit both kids and toddleedoos.

Go and make your little one happy by giving them their own playhouse to play in.

Loft Living

I became familiar with DaD Designs through their landscape creations and now being reintroduced again through their newest creation of the Tuscany Loft. The loft at a footage of 24 x 30 is 100% original mesh and only a 40 land impact. It’s beautifully textured and quite spacious and can be purchased at 20% off while at the Cosmopolitan Room. It’s quite a bargain for only $390 lindens.

You still make my head turn

I had hoped to get this blog out first thing in the morning, though good intentions don’t always work out. I have had one of those debilitating headaches most of the day and finally succumbed to taking a pain killer to ease the intensity.

Most of you already know Jian for their quality home and garden items for most genres in Second Life. Now you’re in for a treat as they start to expand their line under JianJAM, which is their division for jewelry, accessories, apparel, shoes and a whole lot more. Today I’m wearing a dress that they created for the Mix Event, which runs until August 31st. The dress as you see me wearing is a tube dress and is available at the main store. It comes in three different patterns and each pattern comes in 7 different colors, so that’s a lot of choices for you to pick from.

I truly love this necklace from !dM, or also known as deviousMind. There’s just something really sexy about a necklace that hangs down your back and was the perfect accessory for this dress. You can find it currently at Genre in several colors.

The sweet luxuries of having time

It used to be that taking long hot baths was just pretty common. Something we did that was enjoyable and was a treat to ourselves. It’s been quite a long time where I’ve indulged in this luxury.

The new round of FaMESHed is now open and [ARIA] has brought us a complete bathroom set. It’s available in pg and adult and each comes with animations for singles and couples. The set includes the bathtub, vanity, mirror, silk robe, towels hanging, toilet, soap dispenser, toothbrush holder and toilet paper.

The stool is Aria’s participation in the Mix Event and comes with 9 poses some with attachable props and with 8 texture change options. It’s not meant for the bathroom, but I tested the animations and they work well enough to be used there. In this day and age it won’t be strange for your guy to sit on the stool and drink coffee or work on the laptop while watching you take a soak. Just saying.

I remember it like yesterday

The days of the drive-in theaters are almost gone. In a 2014 news article there were only 338 of these theaters still left in America. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were about 7 still left in Florida alone. I think there may be a weekend trip in my near future just to once again experience this bygone era of reclining on the seat of the car eating buttery popcorn. While drive-in theaters are a thing of the past now they do conjure up good memories of my growing up years when dad use to take us kids as a special treat.

Our family actually has a funny story that involved a drive-in theater. A story that from time to time gets told when we are swapping childhood memories and poking good fun at each other and all of us siblings have something we are remembered for. The telling of the story is amusing now even though it wasn’t 30 plus years ago when my little brother got left behind at the drive-in. It was a matter of confusion and assumption that he left in the other parties vehicle to return home. That wasn’t the case as soon discovered when both cars arrived at home without him. You could say my parents and everyone was relieved he was found back at the theater just waiting for someone to pick him up. He was known to always wander off and getting lost so it’s now somewhat his legacy as a child, just as I am known for having always made little boys cry because I beat them at games. I know right.

Today, I’m bringing you a preview of the drive-in theater gacha set that unKindness has made for The Gacha Garden Event that just opened. The Old Americana gacha set is pretty awesome and will be 100 lindens per play. There are 3 rares and 11 commons to this set and one seed of inspiration. If you thought the Epiphany was a new way of experiencing gacha, here is another twist to playing gacha as we know it.

This is a short description on how it works, though check the website information if you want to know more. Players will make pulls on their favorite machines as they normally would with any other gacha. Every time a player makes 20 pulls on a single machine, they will receive a special gift called a “Seed of Inspiration” This is a gift by creators to those who play their machine at least 20 times. Those seeds of inspiration gifts will be no copy transferable items so you can trade, sell or keep as you normally would. Though once the event ends, those seeds of inspiration gifts will be retired and will never be made available again.

The seed of inspiration by unKindness is the concession stand with the rares being the ticket booth, movie screen and car port that holds a few original static poses. The commons are the tire rim, seats in blue, red and black, speakers, fences and fire tub that has a fire option.

The comfort of a warm bath soothes the soul

Bringing you another preview from the Perfect 10 Event that has already started and runs from August 1st to the 15th. The Victorian bath by Michigan Shack is an adult product with an extensive menu that includes animations for singles and couples. I tested out the singles menu, which had nine animations ranging from just laying back and enjoying a warm bath to shaving. The latter gave me quite the chuckle, because it covered every area a woman would shave.

The bath also comes with a texture change hud that has over 70 different options to change the metal work, the exterior, the interior and shower curtains. This can be had for a discount during the Perfect 10 event. The other items pictured are not new. I found tinting the bathroom cabinet from LAQ Decor just a little to match the color of the bathtub made it work together.

It’s nice to be in the clouds again

It’s been somewhat of a lazy day for me doing much of nothing, but thought I would come sit at the computer for a bit. At least long enough to process this picture and get it posted as I wanted to show the console table that Dysfunctional Designs has for The Neighborhood. If you grab it today you can get it at a discount for $150 lindens for this one day weekly event, otherwise the price goes up tomorrow. It’s a single piece decor and you really can’t ask for a better land impact at only three.

If you’re a toddleedoo another great bargain in case you missed it yesterday is this cute blue romper that comes with the shoes and a hair bow not pictured. It was for Fifty Linden Friday yesterday, though was still available today for the 50 lindens special.

I so love these vintage toys by Irrie’s Dollhouse, which are all gacha items at the Gacha Garden that just started. They just give me a warm feeling as they conjure up good memories of my childhood when life was much simpler and safer.

I’m sitting on one of the poses that comes with the chair and just used the adjust feature to move me around a bit. It’s a hit and miss with furniture that isn’t catered for the small children, though learning to use the adjust on menus comes in handy.

Music calmed the chaos

Showing a few things today. MoDANNA is participating in the Mesh Body Addicts Fair that opens on Saturday, August 1st with the [Beaufort Collection] high waist jeans. The jeans come with all clothing layers, and appliers for a number of mesh bodies as well as the Omega system.

Next, is the console record player by Jian for this round of The Challenge. The console top opens and closes with just a click and the record will also spin on touch. Very low land impact at two. You can find it at the store.

The ottoman I am leaning up against is from Dysfunctional Designs. It’s been out a while, but I somehow missed blogging it. It comes with several stripe texture options including a plain tintable one, which I am using here. The leaning pose is one of about 9 sitting poses included.
