A couple of days ago I logged into my SL Facebook to see I had been tagged by a creator and a fellow blogger congratulating me for my blog being selected by Feedspot as one of the “Top 25 Second Life Blogs and Websites to Follow in 2018.” That was a completely nice surprise and even more so when I went down the list of the other blogs, and my fantasy blog, Alexa’s Fantasy Wardrobe, was also selected.  Thanks to all of you who follow and continue to support my blog and a big welcome to some fairly new followers.

Today I’m showcasing this awesome beach hut and rowboat set by Trompe Loeil, currently at Uber.  The hut can be used by itself without the island, making it 57 land impact instead of 101 with the island. The rowboat is 20 land impact. You have until April 23rd to visit.

Happy weekend!! I’m totally being lazy today.  I have no real plans, other than to catch up with a few friends and do nothing.

Today’s picture is a sneak peek at one of the items from Deco(c)rate.  The rainy day cabin is by [Schultz Bros.] and its fantastic.  It’s got a few features like the chimney smoke that you get by clicking on it.  You can also click and hold for a couple seconds the front or back exterior of the cabin to get the texture menu, which gives you six colors to choose from. It’s only 37 land impact, so great if you’re watching prims.  There is still time to pre-order as the crate comes out tomorrow; check out the details below and the Deco(c)rate link for more information.

I didn’t take any pictures of the interior, but it’s super cozy and I’ll probably use it in a coming soon post.

Hello everyone!! I hope you’re off enjoying the weekend… as for me I tried to sleep in late. It didn’t work.  Those days are past when I can stay in bed beyond a certain hour.  Though its a long weekend for me since Monday is a holiday, even if it’s more than likely I will go into the office for a few hours just to catch up on some work between now and Tuesday.

Country scenes are one of my favorites to do and so I really enjoyed putting these pictures together using items from all the creators/designers listed below. You have to love SecondLife for this very reason. The ability to create the kind of life you might like for yourself even if its for a day, week, month or however long you like. My scenes go up and down within hours, but every minute of creating them and immersing myself within these scenes gives me a lot of joy and sparks my creative juices even more.

Today I am featuring the Laurel Ridge home, a 100% mesh original design by Galland Homes available at FaMESHed.  The home is 31. m x 25 m. with a land impact of 232 and is copy and mod. The following description is from the creator itself.

“This luxury home is composed of timber frame with stone accents and vertical board and batten siding. The home is materials ready and best viewed with advanced graphics enabled*.

You will find warm tones throughout and architectural elements consistent with modern luxury log home construction.

The home included a large great room with working fireplace, open bay windows to overlook your vista, space for a kitchen, dining area, powder room, and master suite. The second floor includes two other large bedroom or office spaces.”

It’s that time of year for sure where you see pumpkins galore in real and virtually here in Second Life.  If you missed out on this past week’s Fifty Linden Friday, then you missed these great baskets of pumpkin by Hive. Though you’ll be able to find them at the main store and really make for some nice decor for this season.

I’m also showcasing items from the month’s subscription box to Deco(c)rate. If you’re not familiar with this decor subscription, then I invite you to visit their website for more information and also how to find out where to purchase the mystery box. I” give you the short version that it’s a monthly mystery box filled with original mesh home and garden decor.  You get a about 15 different items from some of the best known designers.

This month’s theme is Harvest Moon and Convair is participating with the Berkshire Barn. The barn has weathered and worn wood detail with tall rafters. It’s original design and mesh, with scripted doors and access control. It has a land impact of 136, and is scaleable, but you run the risk of a higher impact.

Serenity Style is another participant this month with the Raven Dream in the Porch Bench with pumpkin decor box and flying leaves. The land impact is 1 for the leaves – 5 for pumpkin decor and 7 for bench.

I wasn’t anticipating being in the picture, but when I had my camera set and I was standing just in the middle I sat down on the bench and I ended up changing the angle slightly.  This also allowed me to feature the boots by Mosquito’s Way, which are available at The Liaison Collaborative.
