Master chef in the making.

Showing a cute little outfit for this upcoming round of “All The Little Things” that will be based on the theme career fair.  KJlm Kids has made these master chef outfits that are unisex for the toddleedoo avatar that are white with different colors embedded in the lining, shoes and the accessories like the handkerchief and oven mittens.  Then a few other outfits with different art for like a pastry or fast food chef.

The train ride.

“Life is like a train ride. We get on. We ride. We get off. We get back on and ride some more. There are some accidents and there are delays.  At certain stops there are surprises.  Some of these will translate into great moments of joy, some will result in profound sorrow…”

I was cleaning out my folder of web sites I have saved when I came across the “Pixie Train Ride,” a comforting and inspirational piece about life’s journey and the significance of the people that we may meet along the way.   I thought that it was nice to share and that’s how my picture came to be. From the looks of it I was on the right train.

Gone fishing…

002 Fishermans

Tomorrow there are a few events that are opening up and one of them is Collabor88, which is celebrating its 3rd birthday.   HEART Homes/Aphrodite Shops is going to be offering several new releases.  The furniture that I am showcasing in these first three pictures are part of the Fisherman’s House that is fully furnished.  Great for those who just don’t have the time to decorate and just want to rez and move in.

You have so many choices with the pieces that come with the house — from the change in the wood texture, to an abundance of animations for single and couples with rezzable props.

The fishing chairs above have sitting, fishing, couple and single animations with props for you to enjoy as well and they are so artistic and cute!  The picture below shows part of the Floating House that comes with a pier.  I am using some of the items that were in the Fisherman’s House for this picture, as noted below in the credits.

Eating Late

I read about this new challenge by irez.me on a fellow blogger’s site, Pics by Peeps, and thought this might be something fun and interesting to do.  The challenge seems simple enough.  Though requires blogging everyday for 26 days straight.  You are to share an item from your inventory every day that corresponds to a letter of the alphabet.  The challenge begins today on April 1st.

With an inventory that qualifies as hoarding I am pretty sure that I won’t have any trouble finding things to blog, recent and old.  It’s all about sharing your junk stuff with pride after all.

I tried to find as much items to go with the letter of the day.  Since it starts with the first letter of the alphabet “A” I choose these pajama bottoms from Apple May Designs.  They were recently purchased to just goof around in when I’m doing inventory or just at my place, which is most often.   The hair is also previous purchase from Argrace and my tank top, which I’ve blogged several times in the past, because I absolutely love it is from Amerie.  The only thing absolutely new that was purchased today before I learned of this challenge is the pose set from Ausha&Co.

A great reminder to include play in our lives.  For me, part of my play and relaxation is taking pictures in Second Life.   Though I like that this lesson sends me a subtle hint with getting some art supplies as I have been wanting to get back into painting and have not made the time.

Lesson 38: Play!

Remember “recess” and “play dates’ when you were a kid? As children, we recognize the value of letting everything go and simply enjoying ourselves. But too often, by the time we hit adulthood, our work-to-play ratio is completely out of balance.

Playing is essential. Not only is it fun, but it also renews and refreshes us, helping us better focus on the more serious aspects of our lives.

Your assignment this week is to play. And if you’re one of those people who grudgingly participates in leisure activities and then spends the whole time thinking about what you “should” be doing, I invite you to engage your whole body, mind, and spirit in the playful activity you choose.

Your Self-Love Assignment

You are hereby ordered to schedule an activity that has no usefulness other than its enjoyment to you. Go bowling with friends, or perhaps get some art supplies and spend an afternoon expressing your creative side.

Playing could also mean picking up a hobby you gave up in honor of being productive in the world. Is there an old instrument somewhere on the shelf of your garage? When’s the last time you rode a bicycle, played jump rope or hopscotch, or put on your favorite music and sang out loud? This is the week to let your playful side out. Notice how your fun-loving attitude translates into other aspects of your life.

Lesson 16

In the midst of a storm

When I read this week’s lesson my thoughts were, “ohhh so true”, and I really can’t wait to actually do the assignment.  It might not look good at the end when you recognize those choices you made that created situations in your life that were frustrating and caused you anxiety and stress.  They may even pinpoint self forming destructive patterns in our lives.   Right off the bat I can think of several choices I made over the last year that were done out of fear.  So this lesson really speaks to me this week.

Lesson 16: The Power of Choice 

Most of us have lost sight of the relationship between our choices, our actions, and the outcomes we experience. But our lives as they exist right now are the result of every choice we’ve made up to this point. The choices we make – today, tomorrow, and every day this year – will either keep us stuck repeating the patterns of our past or they’ll move us powerfully toward the best year of our lives.

By becoming responsible for the choices we make, we take our destiny into our own hands.

Your Self-Love Assignment

Reflect on an area of your life where you’d like to create a different result.  Write down exactly what you would like to change in this area.

Now make a list of all the choices you’ve made in the past 12 months that were in direct opposition to the fulfillment of this desire. Allow yourself to see the choices you made that disempowered you, that came from a place of fear, and that were unconscious or self-sabotaging.

Finally, identify two choices you can make this week that will move you closer to the result you desire.

Self-Love Points Earned

Give yourself 50 points for every choice you make that leads you in the direction of your goals.
