Light & Dark

I am not all good and light, sometimes I have bad thoughts and feelings, this is who I am.

I am not all bad. I am generous, kind and peaceful. I have so much
love and light to share, this is who I am.

Life is about creating balance, not suppressing your good, and not suppressing your bad,
for one cannot exist without the other, embrace them equally.

I haven’t given up my normal main stream life style for a life of fantasy and costumes just yet. Though I must admit it’s been fun creating these outfits with this round of fantasy offerings from several of the events happening on the grid right now.

I do sometimes struggle with knowing what sort of scene to put together and what poses to use for such outfits. It could possibly be easier to just find a sim and snap pictures, though I enjoy creating my own scenes and for the most part I just go with the flow in what looks good to me.

This picture above was sort of a fluke in trying to add some light back into the picture using the curves feature in Pic Monkey. I rather learned a new trick in making that little mistake and I’m rather pleased with the background at the end.

While I have more fantasy stuff to show my next post will probably be something a little lighter. Maybe.

In the Jungle…

Even though I don’t role-play in any community in Second Life I do enjoy looking at events that feature role-play items. I can always find a few things that I find useful for decor or landscaping and yes, even to accessorize and complement clothes I wear.

One of the weekly lists that I like to view from time to time is the 30L Saturdays. This weekly event usually features items for the Gorean Community, though on occasion I do find items that I absolutely can’t help buying like this African theme landscaping.

The whole scene was basically created using the items by Sweet Revolutions that were available at 30L almost two weeks ago. While the items are no copy, they were still worth the bargain of thirty lindens. I only wish that I could blog as fast as some of you SL bloggers, so that I can share some wonderful steals.

In the meantime I will just continue to have fun on my own creating scenes and taking pictures. Besides, who doesn’t like to play Jane in the jungle. 🙂

If anyone would like to take some pictures in this setting, please just let me know in-world and I will give you the landmark for the platform where it’s set up. I will probably leave it up for a short while.

Finding poses can be a bit of a challenge for me and so I find myself more and more just using what I have and manipulating them for whatever purpose I need. I used a couple pose where you sit on your partners shoulders for the picture where I’m sitting on the elephant. The other pose ball is hidden inside the elephant. That’s called improvising. 🙂
