It’s been super cold almost every day this week and today seems the worse. I like the cold, but preferably when I’m indoors and snuggled under blankets or piled on clothes with a hot cup of cocoa.

Today I’m showcasing the skin May I’m wearing from [PUMEC] at the Skin Fair. May is made for Catwa and comes in a few different tones named after months. It does not come with a shape. I’m using the Elsa shape from Bold & Beauty also at the Skin Fair. The other items featured are the necklace and drink, see details below.

Sitting it out

First a big thank you for everyone who sent keep safe messages and thoughts and prayers. I appreciate all of them and warmed me greatly. Right now it’s pretty calm and the expected arrival into my area is into late Sunday into Monday morning, and likely the strength of a category 3. While living in Florida most of my life has given me some experience of going through such extreme weather it can still be a little nerve wracking.

One of the fun things when doing decor scenes is being able to find items that blend and fit well together. I think of it almost like being a world traveler and finding odds and pieces that you like or perhaps it’s the oddly shaped piece that has been in the family for generations. It can be quite challenging too, perhaps especially on days when you need to get something done and you don’t feel very creative or motivated.

I was tipping the scale on the not so motivated and feeling creative when I put this together and yet I’m pleased with the final result showcasing a mixture of fashion and home decor from all over the grid. Take a look at credits to get the full list of everything shown.

Even the smaller things have character

Happy Friday!! I’m back again after spending a day or two doing some photos on my other blog. My Flickr sidebar gives you a view of some of those photos as I still maintain only one Flickr for both blogs.

Today I’m showcasing items from a few events and one creator that I consistently blog for, which is Bee Designs. They’ve been really hard at work making some festive stuff for this holiday season. I’m showing their items from their Winter Moments Gacha that is available at this round of Liaison Collaborative. The rare being the cabin and the commons the decor items that are scattered inside and some outside. I had fun putting all this together as I was really drawn to the simple triangle shaped cabin.

The garlands are gacha items by ChicChica at the upcoming round of Tres Chic that starts tomorrow. The theme is Holiday Magic so stay tuned for some more amazing holiday stuff coming to the grid. The Morin Khuur display is by Zansibar cretionsZ, for this round of Genre, who also has a theme and it’s anything Mongolia. The Morin Khuur known also as a horsehead fiddle is considered one of the traditional bowed string instruments in the Mongolian culture. There is a playable version in the set as well.

Other items used are the gifts near the coffee table, which are from +XAnSA+ at the Winter Solstice in the Mystic Realms. They are part of a bigger set, which are some holiday blimps, so go check them out.

Some of the outdoor landscape items that I’m using today are also from the Winter Solstice. The Tree with swing chair is by Sweet Revolutions and comes with poses for gals and guys and then smaller trees in the picture are by .AiShA. This picture doesn’t give them justice, because they are some wonderful flashing light trees. I featured them in one of my posts on my other blog, so if you want to take a better look at some lighted ones visit the event or take a peak at my “Lets rest a while the time is near” post.

That’s it for now… and if you want to hear some soothing lovely music I leave you with a Spring Waltz tune said to be by Chopin, though highly unlikely and from reading the comments section it’s not. It’s still lovely and was listening to it the whole time I was putting this post together.

The coffee shop

Lazy weekends are starting to agree with me. I think it’s the cooler weather we’re having that just makes me want to snuggle under a blanket. It’s exactly what I’ve been doing too the last two hours; reclining on the sofa with a throw blanket and watching Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel.

If I had stayed no doubt I would have dozed off, but that would have meant ruining the start of getting my internal clock back on track. Instead I got up to come blog, because this brings me a little joy each day and because I’m thankful knowing how much it has helped me to stay focused and centered the last few months.

Today I’m showing a mixture of things. The first is a new hairstyle by eXxEsS, the Malina that is available in two color packs A and B, which is the difference of single and multi-tone colors. The necklace and top are by [WAZ] and are new releases at The Chapter Four. The top is available in various colors. The last item worn being featured are the shoes by ChicChica, a new release at the Liaison Collaborative. I’m wearing the noir color, but you will find it in 5 other colors and it’s mesh body compatible for the Belleza, Slink and Maitreya.

The decor that I’m featuring today is from a few creators. The rustic entryway piece in the corner is by [Schultz Bros.] and it’s only available through the purchase of this month’s Deco(c)rate, which works very similar to the Luxe Box. The ladder, artist sketchbook, paint containers and the pumpkin on the entryway decor is by [Merak], and it’s available at this round of The Liaison Collabrative. Precious moments treasured

Happy Friday to everyone.

Today I am doing a fashion post featuring a few items from this round of On9 and some from Kustom9. The first is a new skin by Essences, which is Sophia and it’s a head applier for the Catwa mesh head. It comes available in 6 skin tones and the one I’m wearing is medium tone one. What I like about this skin is the thickness and darkness of the eyebrows. The lipstick is not part of the skin, but from Alaskametro<3 and it’s a 6 color Dryad set as an applier for Catwa at On9.

These lovely earrings in a rich citrine color I am wearing are from Kunglers. I wish that I could pull these off in real life, though with my small ears I feel the weight of almost any earrings I wear to be too uncomfortable. You will find these at On9, as well as the hair by EMO-tions. Melanie is rigged mesh hair and there are three versions included that sit the hair on your front slightly different. I chose one that would not hide the earrings and the tattoo.

The tattoo is a recently released one from Aurica Store. It’s called music and it’s got a guitar and musical notes embedded throughout its design, which makes it kind of cool for those music lovers. You can find it at the main store.

The dress I’m wearing is from Empire and at Kustom9. We know this creator for her awesome shoes, but she’s getting into fashion now too and this dress is not a disappointment as it has open back view and gives a lovely curvature to your behind. I’m wearing the one for Maitreya, but it’s also made for Freya, Hourglass, Isis, Physique and Venus and a color hud with 20 choices.

The last item are the Savanna shoes by ChicChica at On9. They were practically a great fit to go with this dress. They are available in six colors and are made for Maitreya, Slink and Belleza. I really like how feminine these shoes look and especially the little flower accent at the the front.

Edited to include additional credits on the decor and mainly the dog, which I can’t believe that I totally missed it. The dog is from Jian’s Hallow-Inu gacha set at the Epiphany. I’ve previously showed one of the prince doggo, one of the rare dogs and this is one of the common wanderer dogs.

All the decor used is available at Collabor88, which are excellent bargains for 88L. So don’t miss out on them.

Cat snooping

I think one of my sissy’s cats escaped again and look she’s taught it some skills. I think she’s checking out the 21Shoe website to take a peek at all the shoes in the next round that starts on June 21st. In any case I am showing the Sesa Denim heels from ChicChica that are made to fit the Slink and Maitreya high feet. I love pointy shoes, so these are just excellent for me.

I am also showing a new decor item by Aphrodite Shops. The mesh animated fountain has real water sound and movement and also comes with animated butterflies flying around. This one is in the beige marble, though you can also find this in white.
