Happy Friday! I hope it’s a happy one. It seems many people I know are having a rough time lately, and then with such terrible happenings in the world it’s good to be thankful and appreciative of the small things each day. I am thankful today just for feeling a little more lively even with the restless night I had with coughing so much.

Today I am showing a new dining room set by Aphrodite Shops, which will be available at the new round of Tres Chic. The vintage set is pretty much all set just for you to rez, sit and enjoy a meal with family and friends. If you have a little one, to complete the set there is a baby and kids chair available as well. The chocolate cake is just one of many available to help you celebrate Father’s Day, which is this Sunday.

Morning everyone… well it’s morning for me here back at home in Florida. It’s good to be back to familiar surroundings, except I’m sick. On the last day before returning home over the weekend there was a torrential down-pouring and from the hotel to the car I got wet. It’s rare that I get sick by a little wetness, but by the next day being yesterday I had body aches, fever and a terrible sore throat. Today isn’t any better, but I’m going to try and forget that I’m sick.

Instead I am going to do my best to think clearly to get this post done. I’m featuring almost everything in this picture from ongoing events. The Tropical Summer Fair is coming to its last few days ending on June 17th. If you haven’t been… you really should as it’s got some amazing things for you to wear for the summer. The folding stool with sitting poses is by [CIRCA]. I know you can’t see the top of the stool, but it’s got a feathery design that fits any tropical setting. The handbag leaning against the stool is by Boutique #187, and is one of several designs and while I have it rezzed out, it’s also wearable.

This delightful braided hair is by enVOGUE called Estelle and is available in several color options. I’ve been growing out my hair in real life and over my holiday I flat ironed out my wavy tresses, but it was so hot that I ended up braiding my hair pretty much like this. It makes for a great summer hairstyle. This sexy bathing suit by PerveTTe is by applier and comes with the life saver tube. You can find it in other colors as well.

I’m also featuring a few items from On9. If you’re not familiar with this event, it’s a monthly shopping event that has a little of everything from apparel, hair, accessories, poses to home decor. It begins the 9th of each month through the 28th and besides an exclusive design by each of the designers participating there is a discounted one color item by each. There is a photo contest during this round, so visit the website here to get all the details.

To complete my outfit for the day the sunglasses are by Haysuriza and what I liked is the options available to wear them on your head or on your nose. The henna tattoo is by Nanika and went well with the red color I’m wearing. It’s also an applier and this is where it gets a bit tricky as my bathing suit is also by applier. I had to play with it until I was able to get both on, but it meant not being able to get fully the sides of the henna tattoo that are covered by the bathing suit.

The pose I used is by Amite and is one that is a part of the Ella set available. Other items from this event are the wicker chairs by New Church. There is an assortment of colors to choose from. I went with these two colors to complete my picture, and on touch you could change the color of the pillow. I choose to keep to the same color of the rest of the fabric, but the option is there if you want a little more color variety.

Besides items from the two events featured I am also showing some new things by DaD Designs. The double roman swimming pool currently available at Cosmopolitan. It’s a fantastic pool that has poses for single, couples and family. The Mediterranean palm trees also by Dad Designs are at the LTD The Event. The trees have wind effect and by touch you can turn on and off the wind, adjust the sound, and give access and also resize.

I didn’t intend for my post to be so lengthy… and now I’m tired all over again.

A golden state of mind

The birdbath reminds of the bird that I use to have come chirping near my window for the longest time. In the beginning there were times that it was a bit annoying as the sound would wake me up and then after a while the bird just became a part of my day. It’s a sweet memory that made me smile.

Today I am featuring the hair and jewelry by LightStar that are available at Fair Play this month. The hair comes in six different color pack options and come with the whimsical butterfly attachments. The necklace and jewelry are gacha items.

I’m also showing items by [CIRCA] that are currently at Fantasy Faire, which ends today. The sleeping willow tree comes with a log that has sitting animations, that is not pictured. The bird bath is a relay for life item, so 100% of the proceeds go to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.

That sweet feeling called love

I’m posting later in the day than I like as time just seemed to run away from me today and it’s the first time I’m getting to sit at the computer. Today I am featuring the latest creation by DaD Designs, which is the Sun Forest Cottage home. It’s a lovely cottage centered on a vintage / shabby chic theme. It basically has two large rooms, one separated by a wall with an opening giving it three rooms altogether. The porch has a glass roof top with leaves that can be changed by touch and you get nine colors to give you the season you want.

I have included some additional pictures at the bottom and details on the house from the creator to give you the view from the front of the house and the inside. It’s currently available at Shiny Shabby.

From the top down of every detail is vintage through out the house.

This is a quick post as I have just enough time before I have to go out the door this morning. I’m showing this lovely morning glory spring set by [CIRCA], currently available as a gacha set at the Dreams Gacha Fair. I listed all the pieces used in the picture, but there is a few more pieces that complete the set. The sit pose I am using is not from the ottoman, but it is actually a pose by [evoLove], which is available at the newest round of GENRE.

I’m also featuring some landscape items by Little Branch. The wild grass and the white cherry blossom trees available now at the current round of the LTD The Event.

All these spring colors are sure to brighten up your days. If the spring colors don’t do it, check out this adorable English bulldog. He is cute, isn’t he? I’ve yet to name him, but I think that I have a perfect name in mind.

Preparation for the Easter Bunny

The topic of Easter has come up in some of our family gatherings many of times as we talk about how certain holidays are treated in America. While most know that Easter is a day in which the resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated, in accordance with Christian belief, it is not what most people talk of.

It’s mostly about the Easter bunny, the chocolate eggs and the Easter basket full of treats for the kids. I am not implying that we forget what this holiday means or that it’s not celebrated in some way like going to a church service. It just means it’s not an in your face topic of discussion for the most part.

With 9 nephews and 4 nieces who are now well over 18 I’ve had my share of contributing to the Easter basket. Some of them have children now and well they’re on their own!
