Getting in another post today to share with you the start of the Vintage Fair, plus it seems it’s a theme that has crossed over onto other events this month. Participating at the Vintage Fair Event is [Tia], who brings a bit of nostalgic fun with her release of the Betty’s Diner Set. The second picture gives you close up of some of the items from the set, which is the retro telephone booth with public phone, one of the signs of a few in the set, and the table with four color chairs and the items on all the tables. Fantastic set to give you a little taste of a by-gone era.
I’m also showing you a new release by unKindness, which is Lucky’s Drive-In Diner set at Collabor88. The set includes the larger pieces and the connected tables and drive-in menu signs. It’s another fantastic set in my opinion. Collabor88 runs from the 8th of the month to 6th of July and the Vintage Fair goes from 9th of June to the 25th of June. If you click on the logo for the event below the credits, it will take you directly to the web site where you can get all sort of other great information on the event and whose participating as well as the map of where each participant is located.
I have been wanting to try this method of using a frame on my photos and thought this was a good opportunity to try as it lends to the whole vintage look. It’s not something that I will do all the time, but might just try it again.

Hope it’s been a good week for everyone. This is a fast one today showcasing items from Tres Chic, mostly everything that I’m wearing and then the skybox, which is from The Draftsman event.

Being just a day away from an actual lazy weekend it seems THOR had the grandest idea first with this “Lazy Weekend Gacha & Skybox” Set at Cosmopolitan. It’s rich dark colors are inviting enough for me — makes me want to cuddle up and take a nap already. There are 18 pieces to the gacha set and that does not include the skybox, which can be purchased on its own. I have provided all the details that were given by the creator just below credits on land impact and some of the features that you will find with some of the decor.
I’m also featuring a leather sofa and chair by Shutter Field in collaboration with Decor Junction for The Crossroads, for the new round that starts tomorrow. This set was created for the “homme” section, a set for men and therefore includes a lot of male sits, plus female as well as male couple cuddles. There are additional versions that include adult at the event.

This gacha set is composed by 18 items (for the complete setup), all modifiable and all transferable.
– Lamps with script that allows turning on and off the light. They have a menu for features: hold the click on for 5 seconds for have it, or just change the note-card inside for have a different setup about light/glow/color etc by default.
– The sofa and the stool have animations poses (twice for the sofa, single for the stool)
– The stove and the trunk have a menu for open/close them.
– The turntable have a tri-touch system, so: touching the plexiglas it open and close, touching the long play it start to turn on or off, touching the lil arm it have an animation so it go on the long play.
At last, touching the wood part, you can listen an entire song. It is modifiable, so you can add your music too, just looking inside as any split of music is called (before the name-after the series number-at last the exact timing). It will recognize the song directly and will put in the menu, giving the choice to listen to it (even many songs).
When I got this skybox to blog the first thing that caught my eye was the design. My mind started to think of how I could decorate it, to create a living space without a big emptiness in the middle and keeping in mind the view from the windows. You can see it without the furniture below. That’s where I challenged myself to completely decorate it and hoping that I would have enough prim to do so. It’s mesh and the quality of the textures are very good. It’s by Dubu and available now at SaNaRae until October 18th.
The other items that are being featured today are some of the decor pieces in the room. Some of the plants on the table and on the stairs are by .aisling. and are available at the Fantasy Collective. There are two sets: the Mandragorae includes four versions with texture change via menu and Herbae includes three versions with texture change via menu as well. Each plant is only 1 land impact.
The vase in the table with twigs and the book near it sitting on top of some other books are by Serenity Style and at LTD The Event. Unfortunately, it is the last round for this event as it was unexpectedly announced to us yesterday. I’ve included vendor pictures of both the plants and the items by Serenity below credits so there is no confusion.
The remaining pictures with the one on top of this text and below are so that you can see the details and quality of the skybox.
My credits lists is huge and while I tried my best to stay in some particular order I might have gotten distracted and wandered from side to side as I copied and pasted. When I got this firefighter uniform, a new store release from (epia), also known as “Every Pixel is Art,” the thought of doing a scene of saving a cat from a tree came to mind. Except someone beat me on the concept and so switching gears I recalled this animated water hose in my inventory and the scene sort of created itself.

If you didn’t get your fill of summer things at Summer Tropical Fair that just ended then it’s a good thing as Summerfest ’16 just started today. It’s back for the 4th year to bring us some more hot summer fun shopping from June 18th through July 10th.
BoOgErS is participating again this year with some cute decor and wearable pizza and rainbow kites. Just the perfect thing to entertain the little ones outside and wear them out for bedtime. One of the releases by Seven Emporium at the event is this flashing Florida Motel Sign. It feels like I never left home. Chuckles.
If you’re the sporty water type then there is these sup boards by Balaclava, which gives you the choice to chill out with two relaxing sits and a laying animation or you can yoga with six different poses. If that’s not enough then how about paddling away on water with the paddle that comes included to paddle on water. Several colors to choose from.
For calmer waters Jammin has this old wooden rowboat with oars, with two seating positions that have four assorted poses. If you want a bit of refreshment for the blasting sun make sure you pick up this cute drinking rafts by RC Cluster that holds a drink.
The beach chime tree is by unKindness available currently at this round of The Chapter Four, which ends in a couple of days. You have just enough time to get them at 50% during the event. The log side table is by Industry 7, a new brand from the same creator of 7mad;Ravens and affiliated with unKindness. The complete set is an additional log table and some candles, which are not shown.
I’ve previously blogged these items, but I’m also showing one of the rare beach corgis by Jian currently at the arcade and the tropical palm trees by [Noble Creations] available now at Cosmopolitan.
Now moving on to what I’m wearing. The bikini top and briefs are from Mimikri, one of my frequented stores when I first started Second Life. I’m happily rediscovering it again. The bikinis are available in several colors at On9.
Lastly, the pose I’m on is another one from the set Ella by Amitie, also available currently at On9.
Oh I keep forgetting to mention this. In honor of Second Life’s birthday there are several events where you can find participating designers giving out a piece of cake containing a gift. One of those events is Hairology. The last few posts in both my blogs are featuring hairs that were gifts.

The [Den.] has come out with a new skybox — the Room 341 out now at the newest round of Uber. The size is 24 x 22 x 6m and is 73 prims. One of the things to note about the builds from this creator is they are easily adaptable to fit whatever need you may have. For example this skybox can easily be used as a personal home or used for a business and modifiable to customize to your liking. The first two pictures top and bottom of the photo below show the bigger room in dark and light lighting. The other two pictures show the skybox as a double without doors, which makes it great for a store.
Featured as well is the decor wall clock by unKindness currently at the monthly Tres Chic event. It’s available in a few colors. The other items by the same creator is the table and ottoman that is below the television at the LTD Event.
To decorate the room above I used items from Finishing Touches. The yellow loungers, rugs, round table with vases and the column shelves with the accessories are the hunt gift by Finishing Touches for the Twisted Hunt. There is one other piece as part of this gift that is not pictured, which is the column shelves as stand alone.
It’s been three years since I last fully did this annual hunt. If I remember correctly you get no hints to find the twisted hunt object and there are dozens and dozens of the same object all over the store. Though the gifts for the hunt were always pretty good as evident by the prize that Finishing Touches has put together for it. There are other accompanying pieces to this set available in gacha at the store.
The [Den] released a new home called the South Woods Plus, which is a larger version of its South Woods Retreat home featured last year here. It is a lot roomier at 16x21x8m, with a land impact of 56 and is 100% mesh. Available currently at Uber until February 23rd.
I’ve listed every item used in the picture, but nothing is new except the house being featured.
