When I got these baby bunnies from Dysfunctional Designs I thought they were the cutest little things.  These are the rezzable version, but you also get a version to hold and it moves in your hand to stand up.  How cute is that! On top of that you can just touch and it brings up the menu giving you several options for color.  They will be released today at the We ❤ Role-Play event and the rock besides me is actually a butterfly emitter, which allows you to set the range and and color of the butterflies.  The butterfly rock will be available today for The Neighborhood.  Another great item that Dysfunction Designs made for this holiday is the Easter basket that was for 50L Friday, except I was not able to get this picture done until late last night.

This last picture was a bit of a fluke.  I was struggling a little with doing a dual log and every picture was coming out with one of us having our eyes closed or both.  Wearing eyes lashes and your eyes all scrunched up was nothing pretty.  I did a little processing and here we are taking a nap.

Cows Come Home 025

This picture really represents my desire just to be able to sleep.  I had high hopes of sleeping in this morning, when the neighbor’s car alarm went off at 6:30 a.m. and so after that wake up I drifted off only for my phone alarm to go off an hour later.  Guess it was a sign to wake up.

My big pixels have no trouble finding rest as you can see, while the little me wants to play.   These Bessie the Cows are from Dysfunctional Designs and are available at the Fantasy Collective.  There are two versions, the static grazing cows and one with poses and there are several texture choices for the cows.

I’m off to do some real shopping, so everyone have a fabulous Saturday!

[ARIA] @ Shiny Shabby

Aria Shiny Shabby

There is a new event on the grid called the Shiny Shabby, which will be vintage themed and will open on the 20th of each month and close on the 15th of the following month.  [ARIA] is participating with this vintage mini office set called “Vesna” that consists of the desk, chair, tea cup and flowers in a can.  I went with the white version, but the desk comes with 7 texture choices for the wood, the chair comes with 7 fabric choices and the tulips comes with 9 options for the flowers.  The set is available either in PG or adult and you can purchase the items as a set or individual pieces.  I particularly liked the animations with the chair that allow for female and male sits, activities like writing, eating and cuddles plus many more.

I’m not sure how I missed seeing these toys from Dysfunctional Designs when I made my trip to this round of We ❤ Role-Play event.  I have very fond memories of playing jacks as a child and besides marbles this was probably the next best thing!

This round of Shiny Shabby will open tomorrow at 12 SLT.

Winter Home Retreat

I hope everyone had a fantastic time bringing in the New Year and hopefully still enjoying some down time.   Mine was great and I have a few more days before having to haul myself back to work and everything once again returns to a bit of normalcy.  Even though the Christmas holiday is pretty much over the winter months are not gone and what a perfect way to settle down here in your Second Life then perhaps getting away to a comfy little retreat home, which I am featuring today.

This is a lovely open space 15 x 15 mesh home made by The [Den.] with a land impact of 35 that comes with a built in fireplace and chandelier.  It is now available for purchase at this month’s round of Uber where you’re bound to find some other fabulous stuff.

The Christmas Blues.

Blue Christmas 2

Decorating the Christmas tree is almost a tradition in my family.  It’s one of these 7-foot round artificial fir trees that my mother has had for almost 20 years.  Surprisingly, for it’s age it still looks rather good and while we look each year for a new one they never seem to measure up.  The color scheme is usually decided upon months in advance and when it’s time to decorate it all my sisters and my mother get together to do it.
This year the tree is a country theme and has ornaments that have been collected over the years and then each year that collection grows as we all contribute as we find things throughout our shopping excursions. This silver and blue color scheme in my picture is one we did in 2012, so it was kind of fun doing something similar with this new foyer mini set that [ARIA] has created for the Sou(Creation.jp) event that opens in a few days on December 20th.   The set consists of the jar with the birch branch, decorative cushions in which the two cushion pile has six fabric choices and the single cushion has three.   The bench comes with six fabric choices and loaded with single and couple animations.

I'll take one of those

Just one.  I rarely drink anymore at social events because sometimes all it takes is one glass of wine and I start to feel all warm and fuzzy.  I’m quite an innocent babe when it comes to drinking and smoking.  I have never drank a full beer.  In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever tried to taste another beer since that one partial taste that was bad enough.  I like white wine more so than red and tend to go for fruity ones.  I’m an amaretto/7 girl when it comes to anything more beyond wine.  I might take a taste of something stronger at say a family gathering, but that’s the extent.  Liquor and me just don’t jive.  If rolling a piece of paper sack as a cigarette counts as smoking.. then I had my first smoke when I was ten years of age and was being all cool with some neighborhood friends.  It must have cured me as I’ve never been inclined to take another try of the real thing.  The aura of cigarette smoke is just not very appealing to some of us.. a gentle nudge nudge.

Complete Dining Sets

Aphrodite has come out with a new complete dining set that is quite a feast to the eyes.   The first picture is of the new table that was inspired by some of most popular traditional Arabian food.  The set includes animated chairs that are interactive for dining, eating, drinking and dispensing props like silverware for example.  The foods included are: falafels, hummus, baba ganoush, ghuzi, moroccan lentils soup, tabbouleh salad, Saudi Kabsa, Hummus Topped with chicken or lamb, pita and arabian breads, Kabsha, Bint as-Sahan, baklavas & jellab.  Pretty much everything you see pictured on the two tables is part of the set.  You can find a demo at the store and it can be purchased at the store or on marketplace.

Then I’m showing just partial of the Christmas Dining Set that has an abundance of holiday foods from appetizers, entrees and desserts. You can see one of the appetizers is the Snowman with the crackers.   What is very convenient is being able to rez items from the place mat giving each person their own choices.  The chairs are animated for eating, drinking, praying and more.  Lovely decorative pieces as shown in the picture.

The warmth of a home.

Another quick post to show some items that will also be available at the Mystic Realms Faire that will open in another couple of days on the 10th of October.   The Balloch Perch Collection is from Artisan Fantasy, and the pieces that are being shown is the bench that has solo and couple poses, the two decorative wall art pieces — the one with candles and the other with a lovely saying.  The ladder that has single poses and the herb shelf and also the rocker, which has single and couples poses.  The set also has another rocker without the decorative tree and then chairs in the same style that are not pictured.

The other items are from Dysfunctional Designs that have been part of my inventory for some time now and treasured.  This store is one of favorite not only for the quality in the items, but for keeping them affordable so that everyone can enjoy.

In honor of Mexican Independence Day…

Today is Mexican Independence Day and I couldn’t go without honoring this holiday in some way. While it is something thought of and often acknowledged on this day, it’s not typically a holiday that many American born Mexican families in the USA celebrate.  That doesn’t mean we’re not proud of our heritage.  Most of us have a great appreciation for our Mexican culture and the homeland of our ancestors.  If anything we definitely enjoy our Mexican food.
