Preparation for the Easter Bunny

The topic of Easter has come up in some of our family gatherings many of times as we talk about how certain holidays are treated in America. While most know that Easter is a day in which the resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated, in accordance with Christian belief, it is not what most people talk of.

It’s mostly about the Easter bunny, the chocolate eggs and the Easter basket full of treats for the kids. I am not implying that we forget what this holiday means or that it’s not celebrated in some way like going to a church service. It just means it’s not an in your face topic of discussion for the most part.

With 9 nephews and 4 nieces who are now well over 18 I’ve had my share of contributing to the Easter basket. Some of them have children now and well they’re on their own!

The little bunnies.

When I got these baby bunnies from Dysfunctional Designs I thought they were the cutest little things. These are the rezzable version, but you also get a version to hold and it moves in your hand to stand up. How cute is that! On top of that you can just touch and it brings up the menu giving you several options for color. They will be released today at the We ❤ Role-Play event and the rock besides me is actually a butterfly emitter, which allows you to set the range and and color of the butterflies. The butterfly rock will be available today for The Neighborhood. Another great item that Dysfunction Designs made for this holiday is the Easter basket that was for 50L Friday, except I was not able to get this picture done until late last night.

This last picture was a bit of a fluke. I was struggling a little with doing a dual log and every picture was coming out with one of us having our eyes closed or both. Wearing eyes lashes and your eyes all scrunched up was nothing pretty. I did a little processing and here we are taking a nap.

Q & R is for… (challenge)

Happy Easter everyone. The weather in my area of Florida is absolutely gorgeous and while today I am going to be working some to meet some deadlines for work I am also going to take the day to relax. Taking pictures in Second Life to me is quite relaxing and so this morning I want to do a bit of catch up with the alphabet challenge and some Easter stuff that I wanted to show. Twice again I have lost my inventory and while I have recouped it again both times, it is becoming a bit of an annoyance when I can’t get to items I want to use.

Anyways, on to better things. I am wearing this hair called “Quirky” from Elikatira for my letter “Q” in the alphabet challenge. Unfortunately, this hair is no longer available as all the old style of hairs have been removed from the store. For my “R” letter I decided to wear a combination of items from two stores. The top and jeans are from Ricielli and the shoes and glasses are from Redgrave and all credits are below.

With my inventory loss I couldn’t get to some of the Easter items that Aphrodite Shops has as gifts for him and her. The items surrounding me are from the Easter egg gift for her, which is flowers, a perfume and this animated bunny that is in the pink and gold egg that gives you chocolate. I think it is also absolutely lovely for a decor item as well. If you want to see the items as a gift for him, I do have a picture on my Flickr page.

I took the picture at my home, which I have blogged before so I won’t go into those items. However, I do want to mention this floor cushion from Digs that is part of the Easter egg hunt at the Nest sim. It has some some of the cutest poses and guess what it’s free. 🙂

Spring/Easter Decor

Taking a small break from the alphabet challenge to be able to show some of the Spring items that Aphrodite Shops has recently released. The picture above is a Spring tea garden set that has quite a lot to offer. It comes with twelve different tea blends and gives you the choice of several cakes and each of the chairs are animated with fourteen animations to give you not only a realistic and an interactive experience. I needed a quiet moment so I had cake all for myself, but no worries plenty left.

Aphrodite Shops also is making available this exclusive item for the new round of The Kollective, which is centered on a spring theme. The spring picnic buffet table offers eatable appetizers, which you receive on touch. Being a big cheese lover this is the kind of food I can always have around.

The last item I want to feature today is this Easter decorative set to decorate your home for the holiday. The vintage table comes with an eggs nest, braided bread, Easter bunny, daisy wreath and vase with flowers as well as the wall art frames. I must point out that the frames are actually lighter like the wood of the table, except they were pale against my wall so I added a bit of tint to bring them out in my picture.
