Taking a moment of reflection

I am attempting to use my phone to post this morning. It’s not my usual method as I prefer a desktop for any computer use. Though I’m not home until this afternoon and wanted to get at least this portion done and post to Flickr later.

Today I’m wearing a new skin called Imani by Essences, made for the LeLutka mesh head. It comes in several tones…the tone worn is medium. The thick eyebrows is what I really like with this skin. The mesh hair I’m wearing is Thalia by enVOGUE and it’s at the main store. You will find it in a range of hair colors giving you plenty of options to choose from. Variety is a must these days. This hair has a long braid going down the back and with the hair pulled back in the front it’s easily workable for any outfit.

The dress is by Una and it’s a new release for Project Se7en and you’ll find it in a few colors such as pink, green and black to name some. As seen in the picture it gives your chest quite a boost, though I’m sure you’re not going to get any complaints on that.

Now to the decor. I’m happy to be blogging for Dreamscapes Art Gallery, a store that I’ve been familiar with since joining SL. It’s got some fantastic decor pieces, from small to large, to fill any room you decorate. It’s where you’ll find most of this Autumn decor I’m showing. The crates with pumpkins and apples. It’s apple season so just in time for some homemade apple bread.

There’s a few goodies also worth mentioning. The bushel of pumpkins next to me is a market place special for just under 40L. The pumpkins are texture change. The wreath and scarecrow are freebies if you are a member of the subscriber group for La Galleria. Check out her store while you’re there.

As soon as I am able to I will update this post with some of the missing landmarks.

We’re dining in tonight

First time today I’ve gotten a chance to sit down and think about blogging. I was out of the house around 7 am this morning and just walked in the door less than an hour ago. If I hadn’t just ate something, it might have been the perfect time for an afternoon nap. Alas, not going to happen for me.

Today I am featuring some more fall decor by Aphrodite Shops and JIAN. I hope you took advantage and grabbed this pumpkin collection by JIAN yesterday for Fifty Linden Friday.

If you’re not familiar with this event, it’s every week on Friday, where you will get some amazing home and garden decor, clothes and accessories for only 50 lindens. The link embedded above takes you to the events Flickr page where you can see what’s on offer each week. This pumpkin collection has solo or piled and a few cats included as part of the decor. I just checked the store and they are still available at the discounted price. Just hurry!

I’m also featuring items by Aphrodite Shops. The first is the leaf table and chairs dining room set with everything on the table included. It’s available at the Tres Chic until October 5th. It comes in two versions, beige and brown. The chairs come with animations for male, female and kids. It’s perfect for indoors or outdoors and a great setting for this season!

The second item by Aphrodite Shops is this fall cozy shelter with a bunch of decor that comes with it. The next couple of pictures gives you an inside view of the shelter and everything you can find in it.

Makes for a great little getaway from home. A place just to sneak off for some alone time, read a book or just to relax and do absolutely nothing. I think I’ll go for the latter… and maybe a nap after all.

Every space reminds me of you in some way

I really planned to get this post done last night except I couldn’t get organized or focused enough to put my words together. Today isn’t any better as I’m feeling a bit scattered and my mind is racing.

Life gets interesting like that sometimes. I’m sure that I’m not the only one whose had days like this.

Today I’m featuring a few things and the first is this lounge set by [ARIA], that is currently at the newest round of FaMESHed. The Libera set comes with two lounge chairs with texture change options for the fabric and wood and the other for the cushion and throw as well. The table also has texture change option and the flower too. It’s a nice set for a corner or for use with just individual pieces.

The other items that I am featuring are from [CIRCA], which are the Berry Mix Autumn wreath. I like hanging wreaths in the home, especially during the holidays. To me it gives a feeling of warmth and brings that festive feeling into the home. The area rugs are also from the same designer. The beige is from the “Into the Forest” set that [CIRCA] has for the Autumn season and the rust is part of the “Harmony” set, that is a gift at the store for $1 linden. I’ll be showing some more great Autumn stuff from this store in the next days.

The rest of the items are not new just well liked stuff that I keep in my inventory. Considering my inventory is once again bulging I kind of like a lot of things!

Over the next couple of weeks I will be showing items that will be available at the Jewelry Fair that opens in a few days on September 13 and will run until September 28. The heart necklace and earrings are from RealEvil Industries and I have to say that I am truly impressed with the jewelry. Everything from the design to the texture and details. The necklace comes in three ways — you can wear either the top or the bottom by itself or you can wear both as one. The set comes with a HUD that allows you to change the texture on the heart, beads, leather and metal, giving you several color choices.

Lots of great stuff to be had at the jewelry fair this year.

ARIA at FaMESHed

You can definitely see the season changing in Second Life with all the new fall products coming out. We are also spoiled by choice with so many events going on. Today I’m showing off what ARIA is making available at the new round of FaMESHed that started September 1st. The Holden dining set consists of the dining table and chair that comes in PG or adult version, pendant light, vase with calla lilies, a radiator and decorated shelf.

Everything besides the shelf is texture change, which is a feature that I absolutely love in the ARIA products. I opted to decorate in dark rich colors that make me feel all warm and cozy, especially having a fireplace and a radiator. Down in my neck of the woods these are just not typical in your Florida sun rooms.

I know we still have just under a month before the Autumn season is officially here. For many this means the falling and changing of the leaves to the vibrant colors of red, yellow and orange. I live in the part of Florida where the landscape stays green all year round.

The Fall for us Floridians down south of Orlando just means the oppressive heat of the summer months is a bit more pleasant as the temperatures aren’t as hot and humid. It also means you won’t break out in a sweat the moment you walk out the door.

So here I am welcoming the Fall season a bit early. By the way the use of Fall is used interchangeably with Autumn for us folks here in the United States.
