I checked the map yesterday for the Skin Fair thinking I might slip in there and take a look. Seeing all the green dots discouraged me as I didn’t want to fight any lag. Even though I really like the feature in Firestorm’s viewer of only seeing the people on your friends list. It makes for moving around much faster. Sometimes I forget that I have it on and go somewhere and think wow no one is here and then it hits me. I know. I laugh at myself too.

Hopefully, some of you have made it there. For today’s picture I am wearing the new Catwa mesh head Lona and using skin by YS&YS called Cherry. The hair is a new release by Iconic called Esme at Hairology.

The items that I am wearing are all from this round of On9, starting with the necklace by Baubles! by Phe, that also come with earrings. The French manicure nail color is by Nailed It and the black sequin dress is GizzA.

Your wedding day should be an important event, right? For better or worse… a day that is bound to change your life forever in some form or fashion and hopefully all for the good and the long run. So a girl has to do what she must to prepare if she’s having any cold feet and it’s a bit chilly near the ocean and I’m not wearing any shoes. Chuckles.

I’m featuring a complete wedding ceremony set by Aphrodite Shops that is is set in a beach theme that really takes a lot of the hard work out for you in planning your wedding when you get a setup pretty much done for you. The set has an animated altar with 7 minister poses and a bible prop. The chairs have animations for male, female and also children. You can find it currently at the Cosmopolitan Event until the 19th of July, and later at their store. I’m not showing any, but if you go to their wedding section at their main store you can also find other related beach theme items to make your wedding a success.

We’re not broken ~ just adrift.

When I was trying out the animations on this broken chair and came to this one pose the scene immediately developed for me. I figured a couple of trees and driftwood for the background would be simple enough as the focus would be the chair. I fixed the picture and then gave some thought to a title and the obvious choice would be broken and then as I saw the driftwood just floating there adrift the title came to me. I’m not broken, I’m just adrift right now.

The statement resounded in me and I thought that’s how I feel these days. A little like just going through the motions and a bit scattered and not completely focused. Not broken.. just adrift at the moment. No. I’m not caught up in fantasy. Far from it. Reality smacks me too quickly these days to get myself too caught up in any type of fantasy. It’s almost that feeling of being at a fork in the road in your life. Maybe feeling a little stuck and on hold and yet having that feeling like I’m on the verge or cusp of or needing to make a turn. Life hasn’t been boring lately that’s for sure.

Speaking of being a bit scattered. I was leaving the house and was in my car when I suddenly realized that I had to have returned the rental vehicle two hours earlier. Yikes. I quickly called to have them extend the vehicle for another week as I’m leaving out of town tomorrow and won’t be back until the end of the week and I just don’t have time to exchange it. It had completely slipped my mind and so with that said I have decided not to take a laptop with me while I’m away.

I think that I need to disconnect for a while. It’s very rare that I will leave town and activate that automatic “I’m out of the office” message, but I think for once I am going to use it without hesitation.

This is like the third or fourth day I’ve woken up with a pounding headache, today a little worse than usual. I’m not lacking sleep and I’m not eating anything before bed and not overly stressed for once. It used to be when I dreamed a lot I always felt my mind never rested, and yet I’m not dreaming often these days, or dreams I can remember when I awake. I’m just babbling now trying to think of the reason for these annoying headaches.

I haven’t posted in a few days as I’ve been focusing on a few other things like decorating my land and putting a little more order to my wonderfully filled inventory. It’s a bit embarrassing funny when someone else knows your inventory better than you do. I made a joke that I was going to bequest all my gacha items to them upon my calling it quits. Chuckles.

Fabulous Sin City

Doing my inventory used to be a time of stillness where I could do a mindless activity and let those thoughts in my mind reach a place of oblivion. I haven’t been able to get into that place in the longest of time so my inventory is in chaos once again. My cleaning habit lately consists of basically dumping all those purchases into a folder and labeling it by whatever day I happen to think it needs a bit of cleaning.

Usually when I’m groaning at having to scroll down a bunch of folders looking for something. It’s probably a good thing I only blog for my own amusement and not trying to get something done on schedule. Though I like to think it is nice to find things in my inventory that I’ve never worn and it’s like getting something new at the candy store all over again.
