Showing some more great stuff from the Shiny Shabby event and this adorable rug from BoOgErS that is one of the gacha items at the March round of the Arcade. Only days away before the big day is here and if you have not taken a look at the shopping guide for this round, you’re missing out! Too many great things.

A little real life. I live in a relatively quiet residential community that is surrounded by lakes and it has a boat load of rules to follow as a result of over zealous members of the home owners association. I understand rules. I follow them most of the time. I make mistakes too. In fact, the very same day I got a new vehicle over a week ago I got a traffic violation for turning right on a red traffic signal at a major intersection. While I did make a complete stop before turning, I did fail to see the sign that stated there are no right turns allowed. I learned my lesson and the hefty fine made sure of it.

Though, someone forgot to inform the driver yesterday that it’s against the rules and legal laws to drink and drive these days. Otherwise, you could end up driving off the road into the lake. It was less than a block from the cul-de-sac that I reside in and it makes me shudder to think about it and just thankful there was no walkers or children on bikes when this happened.

It’s Friday and happy hour is on many minds.

I had not planned on doing another post, though I had a change in plans for this evening as a result of finding out something that sent my mind down a tailspin. That being the case and before I ended up doing something that I would regret later I occupied my mind with setting up a scene with some items I picked up at Shiny Shabby. This is a new vintage themed event that will start on the 2oth of each month featuring some great designers and will go until the 15th of the following month.

This hair from Entwined that I’m wearing is a gift at the event that you can pick up on landing. I love it. This is how I braid my hair when I am at home and it’s really hot that I want to get my hair out of my face and off my shoulders. I’m also wearing the flat Emma shoes that Pure Poison will have out tomorrow for the 21Shoe event. These are made to fit the SLink mesh flat feet and also the Maitreya mesh feet. Don’t forget this event is only for 24-hours and will feature exclusive shoes that will never be sold again. Visit the 21Shoe website to grab all the slurls (landmarks), because the shoes will be at the individual stores.

Another event gift is from Zerkalo, which is the sofa and armchair that can be purchased for $1L at their location at the event. Most of the decor items are gacha, just warming my hands up for the Arcade.

Skybox Living

Showing the newest home by The [Den.] that is available at the current round of the Cosmopolitan Room. The Historic Skybox is full mesh that has a long wide open living space that has enough room to use for a living room and a kitchen if you so desire. The skybox also has two additional rooms and comes in two versions. One version comes with a room that has a marble floor in the event that you want to make the room a bathroom and the second version comes with the wood floor if you just seek to make it another room like an office or bedroom.

I really like the tall windows that come with the skybox, so it allows for a view if you want to place it inside a dome or just leave it open and decorate it as I did with shrubs and grass. The size is 12x15x5 with a land impact of 41, it is mod and copy.

I Heart You by Finishing Touches

I’m taking a short work break to post this second post. I sort of took advantage of another sleepless night to take a few pictures of some of the items that are going to be available at the upcoming “Perfect 10” event. You could say that is one of the nice things about having a home in Second Life is being able to switch out furniture as much as you like.

Finishing Touches is another creator participating in the Perfect 10 event that will start on February 1st and run through the 15th. This living set will be here just in time for you to get your home decorated for Valentines Day. It certainly helps set the romantic mood with all the hearts and I love the box of chocolates that comes as part of the decor. I have always enjoyed a lot of the items at Finishing Touches. Especially, many of their Christmas items from a couples years back that I still treasure and use today, even if slightly higher in prim if compared to what is coming out now.

I am also showing two other items by creators also participating in the event. The heart ottoman by Tylar’s Treasures that on touch pops up the menu to allow you to change the texture of the top and bottom. The other item is the rose taper candle by Lunar Seasonal Designs that on touch also produces a menu that will give you options to change the metal and color of the roses.

Never enough shoes.

Another post before I call it a night to show you some more shoes. These I am wearing are from {MV} called the Satrina and will come in two exclusive colors (latte & blush) for the 21Shoe that is just right around the corner. These shoes are made to fit with the SLink high feet.

These rigged Rumba heels are from Bliensen & MaiTai and are made to fit with not only SLink feet, but also with the Meshproject/The Shops, and non-rigged for Belleza Venus, Maitreya Lara and the CMFF mbody. Not pictured is the other pair of shoes that are the same style design except in flats in the color red. As I mentioned in the last few blog posts all the shoes will be available only for 24-hours at the individual creators stores on January 21st. Make sure you visit the 21Shoe website for the slurls and to take a look at the other shoes that will be sold during the event.
