The last days have been sort of in the rushing mode for me as I’m posting right before I have to leave somewhere or as as I’m starting to close out for the night and have enough energy left just to post. Last night I discovered that I may have to go out of town again for a few days and I won’t have access to SecondLife. I don’t particularly care to use a laptop for using SL anyways, but this means I need to get as much done before Sunday.

Today I’m bringing some garden stuff from a few creators that I blog for. The majority is from THOR, which is their Garden Life gacha set available now at The Gacha Guardians event. There are 13 pieces, with 12 commons and 1 rare and then two gifts of the guardians. Those are received when a player does 15 pulls on a single machine. I’m also showing items by [ETNIA], an original mesh/ ethnic interior decor store that I will be blogging for. They are participating in this round of Crossroads with a gardening set called the Cute Frida that includes a round gardening table, some decor pots and plants. You can’t miss them as one has the familiar trademark face of Frida and the floral long standing one on the round table is another. Stay tuned for some more creative designs from this store.

Little Branch is participating in this round of FaMESHed and while I’m not showing the actual tree they are releasing for this round in this post, I am showing some of the grasses that you can get with the purchase of their item at the event.

While I’m not in so much of a rush today I am hungry so that’s it for now. Oops.. I’m forgetting two things I wanted to mention. The first is that Draftsman has an open photo contest for home and garden decor with a time travel theme that anyone can participate in. The date is fairly close as you have only until April 7th, but still some time if you want to compete and win some awesome prizes. Get the details here. Jian for Home Show

This is a bit of a long post, though somewhat very therapeutic for me as this was not one of my best weeks and ended yesterday in not a very pleasant way. Though today is a new day and I look forward to just relaxing this whole weekend.

There is a new store called Jian coming to the grid, even though the creator behind it is not new and many know her work as a mesh artist under the brand of Dsyfunctional Designs. The sister store will be on the same sim as Dysfunctional and while it is now open to the public it will have its grand opening on June 1st. The creator has already made good on her renewed commitment to bring high quality mesh goods with low impact in geometry, textures and script time with their items at the Home Show 2015.

The first item that I want to mention is the ash trees. The new system that Jian is utilizing works exclusively with their products and Jian foliage. It’s such an easy system. You rezz your trees and attach the HUD and click it. There will be several options that you will be able to choose to work with the products… by season (spring, summer, autumn and winter), product or individual items. The last is quite handy when you want to individualize and give it that personal touch by changing each tree with its own season, the leaves and bark. I have a mixture of the spring, summer and autumn trees in this picture.

The next item is the bird bath that also can be customized with a texture choice menu that has 12 textures for you to choose from.

The last item that I want to point out is the hanging lanterns that too can be customized by just clicking on them. You will be able to change the texture as well as make a choice for the lights being on, off or set to day cycle based on the sim daylight settings.

As always with script items, make sure you work with a copy and keep a spare in your inventory in case something goes haywire. Then when you’re all done getting it exactly how you want it then you have the option to also delete the script so that it can reduce potential lag that scripts sometimes can create. I know that whenever I have landscaped with lots of greenery, grass always seems to create lag for me and I have to make sure and delete scripts once I get everything looking exactly as I like.

The remaining items being shown are from various creators that participated in the just finished round of TAG! Gacha. I don’t know if the machines will be available at the stores now that the event is over, but if they are and you get a mystery coupon you will not be able to claim those as that redemption location is now closed.

Another cute outfit for the toddleeDoo for the career fair theme at the next round of the “All The Little Things.” This one is a fire fighter outfit that comes with overalls, shoes, hat and the fire extinguisher backpack. If red isn’t your color it can also be found in pink, yellow and a black one with some pictures on it.

In real life when my nieces and nephews were going through elementary school they always had a day when the fire department would come visit the school and teach them about fire safety. As part of that they got to sit in the front seat of the fire truck. They loved it as they thought it was a really cool thing to do. I was at first thinking of finding a location where there was a fire truck and just snapping a picture inside the truck somehow, but this idea won out.

You can see I’m easily amused.

You got to be kidding me.

I’m stealing the line… “Oh the things we do for family” from a fellow blogger. I ran around a few grocery stores this morning just to find a particular brand of peppered bacon for my sister. My suggestion of just buy any regular brand of bacon and slap it with a load of pepper and you get the same thing quite wasn’t good enough. It’s like you’re only feeding the family and we’ll understand if the recipe didn’t come out exactly perfect. We’ll only tease you from here on out at every family function. You can see why I shy away from the kitchen.

Now a little Second Life. As you all know I love creating fantasy outfits and with so many new inspiring items it’s hard not to want to create something fun and totally not of this century. I plan on continuing to do this, except under a new blog created specifically for this purpose. Every now and then I have felt my fantasy and/or role-play posts clashed a little with my mainstream posts of fashion and home and garden decor as well with the family oriented pictures with little me. My biggest hesitation was the impact of having two blogs and what it would mean time wise and the additional work if any.

My experience with blogging so far has been very rewarding on a personal level and for the most part stress free. While I don’t know how long this journey will last, in the mean time I plan to just enjoy it if lasts only a week longer, a month or a year. Not only has experience shown me, but the last few months have too that sometimes things can rapidly change. Lost in thoughts.

It’s been a long day that began too early for me to make a breakfast engagement at 7:30 a.m. I’m a night owl and getting up before the crack of dawn isn’t my favorite thing to do or eating so early either. Somehow I managed to eat eggs, bacon, hash browns and a pancake to boot. I was ready to take a nap once I got to work from that overload of food!

It’s a short week for most of us here in the US with Thanksgiving, which means everyone is scrambling to get things done. I meant to post this early if I got an opportunity… that just didn’t happen.

If you missed these South Asian pillows and rugs when they were available at a past Genre event you can find them now at the [CIRCA] store. I love all the colors and the texturing is excellent, clear and the details are stunning. The pillows comes with several poses and I think both the rugs and pillows can work with many decor styles.

I was in the mood a couple of nights ago to throw something together with some of my recent finds. Experimenting with lighting, a nice little tip that my friend Draco taught me. Though I had a heck of a time trying to get the bicycle wheels to show and not fade out as I drew the camera back to get a bigger size of the room. I had most of my settings as usual, so no idea what the issue was.

Despite the little bit of troubles I was rather pleased with the outcome and decided I would post it today.
