Every so often I have one of those days where I have what some may call uncanny coincidences, signs or starting occurrences or just synchronicity.  Like those moments when you think or dream of someone you haven’t talked to in years and suddenly you hear about them through others or run into them somewhere.  I had such a day yesterday, where it seemed the word “Italian” was being thrust at me.

It started when I was waiting in my car for the doors to open back up from the lunch hour at the doctor’s office.  I have an ear infection.  I looked across at a nearby vehicle that had a license plate in front and the word Italian in big bold letters.  I didn’t think much of it other than it did make me smile as I thought of a particular person of Italian heritage.  The doors open so I go in and sign up and go to the waiting room and during that time three people walk in and one of the individuals has a t-shirt with the words in big bold print 100% Italian.  That made me chuckle not so much that I thought anything then, just that again it reminded me of the same person who inherently defined that statement.

The man spoke in English without much of an accent and it broke the whole illusion.  I get home and check my email and the first one staring at me has the subject, “The Italian Job…. “ an invitation to attend an event being promoted by Miami City Social.  There were a couple more occurrences like this, though you get the drift.

In honor of a 100% Italiano, who once asked me if I were the kind of person who saw the glass half full.  That when my response was that I always saw my cup over flowing, he replied, “well…I’d simply say…”What’s up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don’t think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!”

This round of the fantasy gacha has a lot of great nice sexy looking creations, which will require showing a lot more skin that I am today.  Though many pieces can be worn with other creative outfits as well.  It’s worth the visit to the event even if you don’t role-play.  Though you might want to wait until it’s not so full.

It can sometimes be amusing to read local chat and during one of my visits, because I have had to go in short stints of time to get through everything due to the slowness of my internet these days.  So during a recent visit this woman remarks that she just might have to join Gor, being there are a lot more sexy male pixels these days in it.  It made me chuckle and as I strolled around I tried paying a little more attention to the male pixels that were roaming around.

I think that I’m in agreement with this woman, at the least the part that there are some very nice put together male avatars.  Thinking on it there is a certain appeal for that whole male warrior who wield their weapons and shield to protect you.   I think… that I need a hero.

Somehow I lost my sidebar on the front page of the blog and after an hour of trying to figure it out I lost all the settings and the sidebar totally disappeared from the rest of the pages.  I’m no expert to this technical stuff and when it begins talking lingo I don’t understand my head gets all muddled up and I quickly lose focus.  Hopefully, I will get some time later this afternoon to figure it out or get some help to get it back up.

I have my six month follow-up with the oncologist today.  It’s been a bit nerve-racking this weekend thinking about it though I feel very good about what the outcome will be.  Though it’s always good when it’s done and over with.

To distract myself I sorted out the stuff from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival that I purchased and after some trading managed to get some final pieces to complete sets.  Just showing one of my favorite sets from this round.

I had early access to the event Fresh, which features a lot of erotic and sensual adult items that runs until February 19th.  With the upcoming release of the movie 50 Shades of Grey right before Valentines Day it appears that the level and intensity of romance might go up several notches.

I was cleaning out my folder of web sites I have saved when I came across the “Pixie Train Ride,” a comforting and inspirational piece about life’s journey and the significance of the people that we may meet along the way.   I thought that it was nice to share and that’s how my picture came to be. From the looks of it I was on the right train.

I’m thinking of my feisty 81 year old grandmother who killed a 4 foot snake in the garage with the end of a bat the other day when I wrote my title for this blog post.   She’s formidable and I hope that if I get to reach her age in this life time that I am just as gutsy as she is.  She did the dirty deed and I got to do clean up, picking up the still slithering snake and dump it into the lake behind the house.   You could say that’s one of the disadvantages of living in Florida and near water.   Not to mention impatient women who will take matters into their own hands when it comes to protecting their own.

I was contemplating earlier whether I missed blogging or not and it was sort of in the middle. When I think back on why I originally started to blog over a year ago it was just to use it as a vehicle to take up my interest in writing and also document my time in Second Life.  It was a novel idea, with no forethought as to what I would share — given that I rarely did much more than hang out at music venues and decorated a new house every few weeks with the occasional hanging out with a few friends.

Today, my inner circle of friends can be practically counted in one hand and honestly I prefer it this way.   Gone are the days of listening to music and actively exploring in Second Life.   It’s a toss up if those things would hold my interest again for long and yet they can be dumped into the cyclical category.  Though stepping away from SL even if just a few days both physically and mentally has helped me tremendously regain some perspective and given me the motivation to move forward once again.

With that said I’m showcasing here some stuff from the current round of events that are happening on the grid.  I’ve become quite a fanatic of these fantasy role-play outfits that perhaps I should consider taking up some kind of role-play.
