Backyard Garden

The last days have been sort of in the rushing mode for me as I’m posting right before I have to leave somewhere or as as I’m starting to close out for the night and have enough energy left just to post. Last night I discovered that I may have to go out of town again for a few days and I won’t have access to SecondLife.  I don’t particularly care to use a laptop for using SL  anyways, but this means I need to get as much done before Sunday.

Today I’m bringing some garden stuff from a few creators that I blog for.  The majority is from THOR, which is their Garden Life gacha set available now at The Gacha Guardians event.  There are 13 pieces, with 12 commons and 1 rare and then two gifts of the guardians.  Those are received when a player does 15 pulls on a single machine.  Visit their website for more information on this event, how to play and other exciting news.

I’m also showing items by [ETNIA], an original mesh/ ethnic interior decor store that I will be blogging for. They are participating in this round of Crossroads with a gardening set called the Cute Frida that includes a round gardening table, some decor pots and plants. You can’t miss them as one has the familiar trademark face of Frida and the floral long standing one on the round table is another. Stay tuned for some more creative designs from this store.

Little Branch is participating in this round of FaMESHed and while I’m not showing the actual tree they are releasing for this round in this post, I am showing some of the grasses that you can get with the purchase of their item at the event.

While I’m not in so much of a rush today I am hungry so that’s it for now. Oops.. I’m forgetting two things I wanted to mention.  The first is that Draftsman has an open photo contest for home and garden decor with a time travel theme that anyone can participate in.  The date is fairly close as you have only until April 7th, but still some time if you want to compete and win some awesome prizes.  Get the details here.  The other is that the 4th Annual Castle, Home & Garden Contest & Expo is seeking bloggers. While I am usually drawn more to neutral warm colors for my own personal likes when I am decorating my own homes — I do like white and light colors. I think part of the reason that I’m drawn to warmer colors is that I grew up in a large family and light colors was never an option. My paternal grandmother on occasion had light color furniture, but she lived on the west coast and visits there were for short weeks at a time.  My maternal grandmother had two living rooms, a formal and non formal one, but both were warm colors.

It’s one of the reasons to love about Second Life decorating. You can experiment as much as you like with decorating — trying something that may not be your usual style or colors and replace it so quickly if it’s not to your liking.  If you’re like me and often stick to warm colors how about shifting to something new.

Today, I’m showing a new release by a store that I just started blogging for known as (luc) boutique, that specializes in jewelry and home decor.  I hope to be showing you some more great things in the future.

I’m featuring a few pieces from their gacha at The Season’s Story.  There are 12 pieces total, of which I am using 9 listed below under credits. The pouf is by Soy, and it’s at this round of The Liaison Collaborative. You can also find the updo hairstyle that I’m wearing by D!va and the fur jacket by Mimikri at the same event.

It’s another snow day here in my Second Life and it’s a mighty cold one too!  I’m showcasing the lake cabin and snow add-on by DaD Design, available now at FaMESHed.  You can find all the details on the house below credits.  Part of the winter landscape used is by Aphrodite and Mushilu.  The larger trees in front of the house along with the winter berry bushes are by Aphrodite  and the snowy animals along with rocks and small lake are by Mushilu at this newest round of We ❤ Role-Play.

“THE LAKE CABIN” Is a beautiful family house.

The Lake Cabin have an entrance with pergola.
Spacious entrance, included a double flight of stairs going upstairs.
A large living room with large windows from which to admire the view.
On the left a large family room with an area for the kitchen or a laundry room and a large balcony.  To the right there is the Master bedroom which has a private balcony and a bathroom. Upstairs other two attic bedrooms and a bathroom.
The windows of the whole house can be opened and have been arranged openings of different heights to create the most natural look possible.

Happy Friday!

Today I am doing a bit of everything from the fashion I’m wearing to the decor I’ve put together.  It’s a long post and I apologize beforehand for not taking more pictures to break it up some. I’m showing a new long hairstyle by eXxEsS called Jaci available on market place and main store.  In case you’re not familiar with her sets; A  has 56 single-tones and B has 56 multi-tones.  The sweater is one of 8 colors available at the Tannenbaum Holiday Market.

The decor is from the Draftsman and Arcade events.  The chair, bench and table are by Shutter Field in collaboration with Decor Junction out now at Draftsman. There are two other tones available in wood and white apart from the rustic being shown. Land impact ranges from 1 to 4 and both the bench and chair have a handful of sit and activity animations. I think 8 or more is considered a handful don’t you think?

The hanging lights and lighted candle on the table are by Hive and are some of the commons in the Home-for-the-Holidays gacha at the Arcade. The adorable husky tangled in lights is by JIAN and it’s one of the rares in the set.  Those yummy bagels on that plate on the table are by Mushilu and were from the recent passed Enchantment event.  They got to me late so was not able to show them previously, but they should be now at the main store.

The remaining decor is the wine/beer set by Onedecor at Draftsman.  I believe that you can purchase the pieces individually or in a full set pack. Also, just to note the wine bottles used on the shelves and also table with wine glass were just unlinked from the wine decor set and used for the scene. Go check out the event it’s ongoing until December 17th.

The scene was created using the Sunrise Beach House by ChiC building, also at Draftsman.  I will be featuring it in a separate post as I didn’t have enough time to get all this done to show it together.

Down by the water wheel

Doing a late post today as I posted to my other blog this morning.  I’ll probably be doing double posts either on the same blog or vice versa like today, one on each. That’s because this month is a bit busier with the unexpected Fantasy Gacha Carnival event taking place.  It had been announced in the group some time back that the last one in August would be the last of that quarterly fantasy event. Apparently that wasn’t the case for now and so it means maybe doing one or two posts a day until things are back to my normal pace with just main store and ongoing monthly events.

I am showing the water wheel mill by Mushilu at We ❤ Role-Play.  This is available in three colors; the blue version as shown and then a red and green one.

I’m switching gears from a fall scene earlier today to a winter scene this evening to feature this cute little winter outfit for the little ones in Second Life.  It’s from BabyBurp and available at Penumbra Autumn/Winter Fashion show this week.

To complete my scene I am also showing this cotton candy car by Mushilu that is currently at Tres Chic and can be found in a few colors.  The bench is a collaboration between Shutter Field and Decor Junction.  If it looks familiar it’s because I showed a rustic version a few days ago.

I’ll probably be doing a short post a little later to also once again mention the upcoming Draftsman event that will be launching in mid November.
