Hello.. it’s me she said

_025

My 83 year old grandmother has come for a 2-week visit and she’s got more energy than I do sometimes.  I had just enough time to get my picture posted on Flickr earlier in the day, but no time to get the post done as she asked me to take her into town after we had already had a busy morning.

Now several hours later and now early evening I can finally sit for a  moment to write the credits and get it posted.  One of the items that I am featuring are these gorgeous boots by N-Core.  They are made to fit the Maitreya, Belleza, Slink and TMP and currently available at FaMESHed.

The other item that I’m showcasing is the pose by K&S Poses.  I’ve used this pose before on another picture (Happy Halloween post)  at a slightly different angle and on a sofa chair. Just goes to show you how great these poses are for different looks.

Today I am doing a fashion post showing heels/boot style shoes, which is the latest release by N-Core.  They are available at Uber in 16 options or all in a fatpack and mesh body compatible.

I’m also wearing the Helen jewelry set by Zibska, which is available at Retro Rewind.  The set is comprised of necklace and earrings and comes with a texture change hud for the beads.  In the background I’m also showing some of the newest trees by Little Branch. The umbrella thorn is at Cosmopolitan and the wild maple is at SaNaRae and both are 4 seasons.

There’s a trail that always leads back to you

essences-envogue-on9-033

I got so distracted decorating a skybox that I will be blogging soon that I forgot that I was also posting.  Then I had to run an errand during and here it is early afternoon and just getting around to it.  I can’t be the only one that loses track of time.

I’m wearing a new hairstyle by enVOGUE that is available at the main store. The Sabrina is rigged mesh and is available in 96 colors, root & ombre colors, and also an accessory that can be changed via HUD.

I’m wearing a romper by Wicca Wardrobe, which is still available at this current round of On9, which ends tomorrow.  It’s available in several colors. The last item being featured are these shoes by N-Core. They are fairly new, having been released at a previous event and are now available at the main store.  It’s made for the Maitreya Lara, Belleza (Venus, Isis, Freya) and Slink (Physique & Hourglass).  It’s available in mix and match colors with loads of a girl’s best friend… diamonds!  The diamonds are removable.

Edit: I forgot to credit and mention the skin and tattoo that I am wearing. My apologies as I didn’t double check that I had everything when I just copied and pasted from my note card.

The tattoo is called Ameli and it’s by Aurica Store and available at the main store. It’s available in black and white and made Maitreya, Slink, TMP and Omega.

The skin I am wearing is by Essences and it’s a gacha skin set at Kustom9.  There are 12 skins total for the Imani skin, with 1o commons and 2 rare.

Welcoming the change in season

01223

The Fall season is my favorite when it comes to weather as it’s always not so hot and muggy here in Florida and just about the right breeze.  Though, I don’t get the changing of the leaves as much here in my real world, in Second Life, it’s one of best seasons to take photos due to all the rich colors.  I’m in complete awe with some of the amazing photos people are creating that I see come across my Flickr stream.  It definitely inspires me to want to go out and explore.  I welcome any mention of sims that are worth visiting.

Today I am showcasing a couple of items that I am wearing.  The first is a recent new hair release by enVOGUE.  The Milly is rigged mesh and is an avant-garde hairstyle that has a classic bun style and pulled to the front in a braided tail.  It’s modern and quite chic.  This hairstyle is available in 96 colors, root colors and 16 ombre, which are easily accessible through a HUD.  It’s available at the main store.

The next item featured today is the Miu shoes by N-Core, which are mesh body compatible {Xtreme Feet, Maitreya, The Mesh Project, Belleza and Slink}.  Perfect ankle boots for this season that’s for sure to bring some cool day and nights ahead. There are 14 options available that can be purchased individually or as a fatpack. Currently available at Kustom9 until October 10th, then afterwards you can find them at the main store.

Hope you have a great start to an awesome weekend!

Since my work requires me to be on call at any given time if an emergency arises I have never been one to watch the clock or pay much attention to the fact that it’s Friday and it’s the weekend.  Plus,  if I say so myself, my work ethic has always been high and maybe it’s also the fact that I can take leave whenever I have a need if my schedule allows.  Though this week has been sort of grueling in a mental way and I’m truly thankful it’s Friday.

This picture is nothing more than just playing with wind-lights and Pic Monkey.

Happy Friday!

Blogging? Is it pure vanity?

Every time that I do one of Strawberry’s memes it almost feels like I’m in front of the camera, which explains the picture that I decided to use for this post.  However, doing the memes are fun, because you get to know a little more about people that are in Second Life.

The segment of my little show is “Blogging? Is it pure vanity?”

Snapshot_005

Meme instructions: Copy and paste the following questions and answers to your post, delete my answers and input your own. Try not to swear at Berry in your head for having so many questions this week and don’t forget to leave a comment in this meme’s post so others can come by and read your answers as well!

  1. How long have you been blogging? Since about 2011 for only a few months, then I removed that blog due to not being able to fully commit and recently began blogging about my Second Life in March 2013.
  2. Why did you start blogging? I’ve always enjoyed writing and I felt blogging was a way to explore that interest and blogging on Second Life seemed a good start. I used to journal a lot before, but I haven’t in the last two years. So this is also like an extension of that even if it isn’t about my real life it still serves as being therapeutic.
  3. How many times a week do you post an entry? While I am posting just about daily now, I know that with my schedule it won’t always be possible. Therefore, I’m trying not to be such a perfectionist from the start and so if I skip a day it’s no big deal.
  4. How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? Quite a bit and they range across the board from politics to cooking. The Second Life blogs I look at tend to be more fashion oriented as I’ve yet to find good blogs where more than credits are provided. If anyone knows of any, please send my way.
  5. Do you comment on other people’s blogs? On a few occasions I have and as I get more familiar with blogging I will probably will do more.
  6. Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? Not really. I have looked at the site stats as I was browsing the dashboard, though I have not taken the time to learn how to utilize the tools to track visitors. I also don’t want to get hung up on those things as this blog is really more for my own amusement than anything else, though it is nice when I get a like or a comment for a post.
  7. Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? None that I’ve done so far and most of my writing content would be non-controversial and would simply be my thoughts of the day or my thoughts in general. I am also very cautious by nature and that will ensure that I don’t cross the line.
  8. Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? I think to a certain extent as I continue to write that people would gather an idea of who I am as a person. Maybe. I do think part of your personality comes through in your writing — at least you get the idea of the person’s wit and whether they are positive or negative, etc.
  9. Do you blog under your real name? No, I am using my second life name.
  10. Are there topics that you would never blog about? Absolutely. I don’t have any set rules that I developed other than mainly knowing there would be certain topics I would stay away from.
  11. What is the theme/topic of your blog? It’s basically about my Second Life, though will quite often be infused with a bit of realism. The blog is basically a vehicle being used to explore my love of writing and sharing my photography — throwing in a bit of wisdom along the way from my life experiences and a bit of humor mixed in there too. Though I really will focus on it being totally about my Second Life – my fashion style, decor style, places I explore, the fabulous toys I buy (not to be confused with adult toys) and pixelated food of course.
  12. Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? I have another private blog that I created to journal a trip to Europe I made last year that has pictures and the timeline of my trip. I plan to use it as I travel more in the future. I have thoughts of creating another to display some of my real life photography of wildlife I’ve taken over the last couple of years.
  13. What have you found to be the benefits of blogging? It’s too soon to really answer this question; though I find that there is simple joy in doing each blog post. I hope that it also serves the purpose of improving my creative writing. To understand this I need to share that I do a lot of dry writing in my professional life — like writing policies, grants, press releases, etc., so I feel like I’ve lost the edge in writing creatively.
  14. So, why do you continue to blog? I find blogging to be relaxing and entertaining. It also gives my Second Life a bit of boost.
