[ARIA] for FaMESHed.

It’s modern, fluid and packed with fun animations is part of the description the creator of [ARIA] gave for the Blackwell bathroom set that is available starting today at the newest round of FaMESHed. It is that and more as you always get a few choices in textures for most of the items and packed with single and couple animations including rezzable props. I opted to go with white with a touch of grey. You can find this set in either adult version or PG.

Neither is flirting and trying to hook up with total strangers over an app game. Some days ago I mentioned that during one of my sleepless nights I found myself playing a game of words with total strangers, two in fact a male and a female. Since that night the challenges have continued on and off as time permits. I’ve won some and lost some and it keeps my brain active.

In the game “Words with Friends” there is an option for chat and can only be used if you’re in an active game. Up until then no communication had occurred until this weekend the guy initiates a chat by messaging me that my next move better be a good one just before hitting me with a word that racked up his points. This was all good until he starts to get a little more friendlier.

I’ll spare the details of the come on as it’s rather lame even to my own ears, especially when they have absolutely no knowledge if I’m married, single or whatever. Politely I declined his offer quit the game and refused another challenge.

Maybe this is normal in this day and age?

Nothing says home like the smell of baking.

~ A messy kitchen is a sign of happiness. ~

I survived the birthday party yesterday, well at least 2.5 hours of it. Thankfully, it was held outdoors even if it meant bearing the cold wind. I was wearing my leather jacket that rarely gets used so that kept me somewhat comfy. Instead of what I would call more substance they had an assortment of crackers, hams, fruits and cheese to eat and one of my favorite wines moscato. Just for that you could say it wasn’t so bad after all. There was no traditional birthday cake. In it’s place was this huge cookie cake that seems to be more popular these days that had gobs of chocolate chips in it. I took a sliver of it just to taste.

Now here I am baking up a storm in Second Life. Shhh… I really got them yesterday at the pre-tasting of the Atelier Kreslo’s Farewell Bake Sale that opened today. I am only showing a few of the goodies you can find at the bake sale. While these cakes look absolutely yummy, personally I am more likely to take a serving or two of the creme brulee.

This picture was a result of over thinking and not knowing when to quit while I’m ahead. Shakes head at self. I had this idea in my mind of what I wanted the outcome to be and yet I couldn’t quite grasp it with anything I tried. Everything from Second Life being wonky to not being able to find a wind-light that I liked. That’s when I should have known better and just stopped and tried doing this another time. I just finally said the heck with it and made it black and white and infused with a little sepia and called it a night.

We are having a little bit of a cold front here with a chill in the air and the wind is howling outside as I sit here typing this. That means the birthday party I am heading to in the next hour is going to be moved inside, which means the noise level in a relatively small house is going to be unbearable after an hour. Is it so bad that I am already thinking of an excuse of why I need to leave early? Oh well… have a great Saturday everyone.

More Exclusives for 21Shoe

Here are some more shoes that are part of this month’s round of 21Shoe event. In the first picture I am featuring folder wedges in exclusive colors by Miamai that are made to wear with the SLink high feet. Two great pair of shoes for the price of one.

The next pair of shoes I am showcasing are from Ingenue and are called the Marie heels in the colors wine and latte. They too are made to fit with the SLink high feet. Just remember all the shoes are available for 24-hours and will never be sold again.

I am pretty enthused with this last picture as I learned a new technique today and that is blending two pictures together. It took me a while playing with it, though I am pleased with the outcome for my first try.

Winter Home Retreat

I hope everyone had a fantastic time bringing in the New Year and hopefully still enjoying some down time. Mine was great and I have a few more days before having to haul myself back to work and everything once again returns to a bit of normalcy. Even though the Christmas holiday is pretty much over the winter months are not gone and what a perfect way to settle down here in your Second Life then perhaps getting away to a comfy little retreat home, which I am featuring today.

This is a lovely open space 15 x 15 mesh home made by The [Den.] with a land impact of 35 that comes with a built in fireplace and chandelier. It is now available for purchase at this month’s round of Uber where you’re bound to find some other fabulous stuff.

My first two pictures show it as I envisioned it decorated for myself though with this big of space the possibilities are endless. The last two pictures are just two close ups showing the building by itself.

Just showing another ideal winter scene, even though I would wager shoveling snow doesn’t look this easy. The next round of events are all right around the corner and one of them is Uber that opens November 30th at midnight. The theme for this month is Vogue and [ARIA] is participating in this round with a mini set named “Cindy” that includes a ball chair that can sit up two avatars that includes single and couple animations. Plus you get two base textures and six fabrics to choose from. The book shelf and the table have two textures that you can select from and the plant pot has six. Everything is materials ready and are copy/mod and comes in a PG or Adult version.

Two-for-one shoes.

Coming soon is the new round of the 21Shoe, a monthly event that happens on the 21st of each month that gives us shoe lovers a two-for-one bargain on new and exclusive shoes. I’m showing off the shoes that HopScotch will have for this November round. The red/gold shoes I’m wearing are called Capture and are designed to fit the SLink medium feet. The second pair of shoes near the table are purple with an orange lining named Sidney, and also made to fit the medium mesh feet by SLink.

You can check out the 21Shoe website as the 21st approaches to take a look at the other shoes that will be available during this round. All the shoes can be found at the main stores and you can also grab the slurls from the website. The other thing about this event is that it only lasts 24 hours, from 12:01 am SLT on the 21st of each month.

You could say I’m doing a two-for-one post today. So this is what happens when you’re still half asleep. I’m wearing the two shoes from *YS&YS* that will be sold also on the 21st. The Tivoli a smooth crocodile black and the Latina open toe in beige. The shoes are made to be used with SLink high feet and you will get two versions of the shoes — one with “sock” in the name that are made to be used when you want to apply socks to your feet.

Remember the shoes are only available for 24-hours from 12:01 am SLT on the 21st of November.

What’s love got ….

When I rezzed this love box sign last night for this scene it made me think of Tina Turner’s song, “What’s love got to do with it” and it’s still playing in my head this morning. It made me feel like dancing and so I’ve parked myself on a dance floor at a long ago visited club listening to the rhythm and soul tunes the DJ is spinning as I write this post. Just what the doctor ordered.

Being a part of the Fantasy Collective group I got early access last night so I took a quick look and came away with this outfit that I’m wearing from Yasum. The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow and my sneak peak showed that there will be a lot of great stuff as usual. I am sporting a tattoo from “La Malvada Mujer,” which translates to the evil or wicked woman, that is available at the Victims of Ink event. It fits the mood.

I’m excited today. This morning one of my real life friends that I’ve known for many years sent me an email that he had joined Second Life. He’s always known I inhabit this world and from time to time will ask me about it, though has always resisted joining. I don’t blame him. It will be kind of a new experience to catch up with each other from time to time in-world with avatars being that I’m in America and he’s in Europe.
