This month seems to be a month of celebrations.  FaMESHed is celebrating its 4th Anniversary and The Chapter Four is celebrating its 3rd Anniversary.  Some cute gifts like this ice cream cake and the birthday balloons.  These gifts are available only to group members.

Today I am featuring this new set by Shutter Field – an outdoor up-cycled door table and chairs. Great outdoor pieces that can be purchased separate or as a boxed set at a discounted price of 30% for group members. They cushions and blankets are texture change and are available at the main store.

The other great looking cake is a group gift from {what next}.  Both look so great and makes it tempting to want to eat cake.

Happy Friday everyone!

It’s Mothers Day on Sunday so today I am showing one of the breakfast trays that Aphrodite Shops has available to help you honor and celebrate your mother in-world.  This version is for a mom and two kids and has some great animations and attachable props to enjoy the food when you surprise her in bed.  Lots of other items to choose from if breakfast isn’t your thing.

Little me is drinking chocolate milk in a sippy cup by *BoOgErS* that will be available starting on May 15th at the Color Me Cute event as a gacha item.  There are 12 cups in the set with no rares just commons.

The bed that we are on is actually made for a couple. It’s made by Mistique and is available at the main store.  It comes in a few colors and each has 20 couple animations.

I am showing one of the four available colors of the hanging rattan chair by HJM Designs. The chair is their item at the Perfect 10 Event that started on the 1st and goes through the 15th of the month.  The chair is equipped with 23 single and 6 couple animations.  It’s mesh and only 4 prims land impact and a great price of 80L at the event.

Last and certainly not least are all these kittens by Jian.  Today for Fifty Linden Friday you can grab this kitten scratching post for 50L.  It’s a cute decor item that on touch you can change the texture of the post, kittens and feathers.  The other two kittens on the pillows are for Midnight Madness.  It’s a unique event that is time specific and limited quantities.  Click on the link in credits to visit the web site to learn more about this event as I learned also there is a new option added on this month.

This is a quick post as I have just enough time before I have to go out the door this morning.  I’m showing this lovely morning glory spring set by [CIRCA], currently available as a gacha set at the Dreams Gacha Fair.  I listed all the pieces used in the picture, but there is a few more pieces that complete the set. The sit pose I am using is not from the ottoman, but it is actually a pose by [evoLove], which is available at the newest round of GENRE.

I’m also featuring some landscape items by Little Branch.  The wild grass and the white cherry blossom trees available now at the current round of the LTD The Event.

All these spring colors are sure to brighten up your days.  If the spring colors don’t do it, check out this adorable English bulldog.  He is cute, isn’t he?  I’ve yet to name him, but I think that I have a perfect name in mind.

Our wedding 013

Your wedding day should be an important event, right?  For better or worse… a day that is bound to change your life forever in some form or fashion and hopefully all for the good and the long run.  So a girl has to do what she must to prepare if she’s having any cold feet and it’s a bit chilly near the ocean and I’m not wearing any shoes.  Chuckles.

I’m featuring a complete wedding ceremony set by Aphrodite Shops that is is set in a beach theme that really takes a lot of the hard work out for you in planning your wedding when you get a setup pretty much done for you.   The set has an animated altar with 7 minister poses and a bible prop.  The chairs have animations for male, female and also children.  You can find it currently at the Cosmopolitan Event until the 19th of July, and later at their store.  I’m not showing any, but if you go to their wedding section at their main store you can also find other related beach theme items to make your wedding a success.

If you want a little more color in your gardens, these field of poppies by Little Branch come in several colors and are available right now at the LTD Event.  They come in two versions, the square field or rounded field and really make a nice addition to any landscape.

It’s been a long time since I have done a full hunt.  As it is my inventory really needs a major overhaul and one day I am determined to do something about it.  Right now I’m blissfully happy using what I can find in my somewhat organized folders when I search for what I need.  What I found that I liked in doing hunts is that it gave me an opportunity to discover stores I didn’t know.  With the number of events going each month it’s a wonder if anyone finds time to visit a main store anymore.

Getting back to hunts.  I noticed that Menstuff was having a hunt for men and given that I already shop for myself and lil me adding a third party to that equation would be excessive not to mention an expense I really can’t justify even to myself.  Given he only gets used sparingly when I want to have a male presence in my pictures.  Though given the way my computer groans when I am using two viewers it’s becoming less and less of a desire.  I did find with this last round of pictures that using the CtrlAltStudio viewer with very low settings and the regular viewer I use, Firestorm, it was a bit more manageable.  I’m straying again.  My mind seems to be all over the place lately.   I’ll just add this.  The Menstuff Hunt is a great hunt for men with about 100 stores.  I figured that my male alt could use a few new outfits so that he is picture ready for when I need him. The best part for you men is that each item will only cost you at the minimum 1L.

Just a suggestion.

That’s also the name of the pose that I am using on my main avatar.  It’s made by Kuro in Motion and can be found at the main store.   I teamed it up with this other pose to give him a little push to go.

It’s almost that time again ladies where you can grab some fabulous shoes for the price of one.   The 21Shoe event is every month on the 21st and only for 24 hours can you buy two pairs of exclusive shoes from some of the established shoe creators in Second Life.  I’m showing two pairs from different designers that are participating this month.  The first picture are the pumps from G&D that are made to fit the Maitreya mesh body, the Slink high feet and The Mesh Project body.

This second pair denim heels is made by KC Couture and has been made to fit the Maitreya mesh body, Slink high feet and the Belleza mesh body.  If you want to see the other shoes for this month, check out the 21Shoe  website where the pictures of the shoes are being added daily.   If you want to stay informed about the event and get some great gifts as well, there is a group in-world you can join for a small fee.  This month’s gift is 12 exclusive fashion poses courtesy of Thirty Loop Animations.

The last thing I want to mention is this brick path set by Jian that she is releasing tomorrow for 25L Tuesday. Seriously, that’s a steal!   The brick path is low impact, and has 26 pieces and 12 texture options that can be changed either piece by piece or to all paths of this set by one click.   After tomorrow the price will go up, so make sure you grab it.

We’re not broken ~ just adrift.

When I was trying out the animations on this broken chair and came to this one pose the scene immediately developed for me.   I figured a couple of trees and driftwood for the background would be simple enough as the focus would be the chair.  I fixed the picture and then gave some thought to a title and the obvious choice would be broken and then as I saw the driftwood just floating there adrift the title came to me.  I’m not broken, I’m just adrift right now.

The statement resounded in me and I thought that’s how I feel these days.  A little like just going through the motions and a bit scattered and not completely focused.  Not broken.. just adrift at the moment.  No. I’m not caught up in fantasy.  Far from it.  Reality smacks me too quickly these days to get myself too caught up in any type of fantasy.  It’s almost that feeling of being at a fork in the road in your life.  Maybe feeling a little stuck and on hold and yet having that feeling like I’m on the verge or cusp of or needing to make a turn.   Life hasn’t been boring lately that’s for sure.

Speaking of being a bit scattered.  I was leaving the house and was in my car when I suddenly realized that I had to have returned the rental vehicle two hours earlier.  Yikes.  I quickly called to have them extend the vehicle for another week as I’m leaving out of town tomorrow and won’t be back until the end of the week and I just don’t have time to exchange it.  It had completely slipped my mind and so with that said I have decided not to take a laptop with me while I’m away.

I think that I need to disconnect for a while.  It’s very rare that I will leave town and activate that automatic “I’m out of the office” message, but I think for once I am going to use it without hesitation.
