Even though the day is about gone it’s my hope that if you are in this category of special women that you had a splendid and a wonderful Happy Mother’s Day.

I spent the morning celebrating and honoring my mother along with my sisters cooking a large breakfast and then hanging for most of the day together talking, laughing and being completely lazy until we started to cook again to enjoy our last meal of the day together too.

Plus where else can I also be 50 shades of brat and my mother still love me.

Laundry Day 033

I had another long day where I did a long loop of travel from home to work to a meeting in another town an hour away then back to work to drop off the employee who was with me and then the 40 minute trek back home.  One of those days where I ended up not being able to have lunch until about 4 pm and by then sporting a headache.  Next time I make it to the grocery store I’m storing up on a box of beef jerky and dumping a few in my purse.

Then I have to get home only to have to do laundry in Second Life.  Just kidding! As if!  I think that the moment that SL begins to feel like work that’s when I know it’s really time to move on.

Cinco De Mayo 015

When I saw this top and skirt from Ala Folie several days ago I thought it would be perfect to go around in for Cinco de Mayo.  The outfit comes with a HUD to change the colors of the top and skirt and my only wish was that I could have done that also for the middle portion so I could have made it white to reflect the Mexican Flag colors a little better.  This still works really well and I added the white head piece from LODE.  I am really loving the head accessories from LODE these days and this one is no exception and at 50L chance gacha you can’t go wrong with any color you get.

[ARIA] is participating in the newest round of TAG! Gacha, which is themed “The Side Show” with the Morgana’s Wonders Collection.  I am only showing a few pieces here, but there are 14 items to collect in total, with 11 being common, 2 rare and 1 mystery rare.  You can get a look at all the prizes at the website and all the gacha machines are at the individual stores .

The event is HUD based so that on a click it will teleport you to every store so that you can play the gacha machine.  Make sure you tag the board next to the gacha machine so your HUD knows you have been there and by tagging every board of participating stores it will unlock the bonus room and ultimately the prize room, where you can collect any of the mystery rares you might have received.

Get all the information on the event and  using the HUD at the TAG! website.   The event will run until April 30th.

If it makes you happy
It can’t be that bad

Then why the hell are you so sad

While I was taking this picture the chorus of the song “If It Makes You Happy” kept playing through my head.   I don’t recall listening to the song any time recently, so it befuddles me where it came from to just sit there in my mind playing over and over.

Maybe in a way it relates to the state of mind that I fell into this week after learning about something that was a hard pill for me to swallow.  Truth that left me feeling a bit tattered and well… just sad.  In coming to terms with it I faced reality head on and with it came a sense of loss.  The loss of an idealistic expectation that left me feeling a bit uncertain about a few things and bemoaning my lack of experience in things of this nature.

Something that can be a blessing and a curse.

Sometimes I wish for a simple life of living out in the country and having nothing to worry about other than a few farm animals.   I would go around in a dress like this, which is available at this round of Shiny Shabby. It was hard picking from the selection of colors available as I liked every one of them.

Shutter Field had a great selection of chairs available this past Lazy Sunday like these dark wood peacock chairs that have some nice sit animations for male and female.  I look forward to showing you some more home and garden items from this creator in the near future.
