Winter Home Retreat

I hope everyone had a fantastic time bringing in the New Year and hopefully still enjoying some down time. Mine was great and I have a few more days before having to haul myself back to work and everything once again returns to a bit of normalcy. Even though the Christmas holiday is pretty much over the winter months are not gone and what a perfect way to settle down here in your Second Life then perhaps getting away to a comfy little retreat home, which I am featuring today.

This is a lovely open space 15 x 15 mesh home made by The [Den.] with a land impact of 35 that comes with a built in fireplace and chandelier. It is now available for purchase at this month’s round of Uber where you’re bound to find some other fabulous stuff.

My first two pictures show it as I envisioned it decorated for myself though with this big of space the possibilities are endless. The last two pictures are just two close ups showing the building by itself.

Living the Life with [ARIA]

I got the chance to go into Second Life this morning and take a couple of pictures of great offerings that [ARIA] has at the newest rounds of both Uber and FaMESHed. This first picture is of this gorgeous and classic “Ophelia” sitting set that gives you fabric and metal texture change. The sofa can sit up to three avatars and the armchairs can sit up to two. The whole set is loaded with single and couple animations with auto attachable props or rezzable as well, even the coffee table has animations. The set comes in either PG or an adult version and all items are materials ready and are copy/mod.

At FaMESHed you can find the “Amaryllis” industrial modern kitchen set that gives you the ability to change texture on the metal and wood to suit your needs. It also has single and couple animations and is materials ready. Comes with all the items shown.. herb plants, dishes and pots and pans, kitchen accessories and stove and refrigerator. You can find it tomorrow when the event opens.

Christmas at [CIRCA]

Besides delicious looking desserts [CIRCA] also has an abundance of furniture and accessories to help you decorate your home for Christmas. I’m showing only a handful of the items that can be found in events that [CIRCA] is participating in around the grid or available at the store. There are several decorations that are part of the Holiday Advent gifts that can be purchased at the store for minimal amounts ranging from $0 to $50 lindens. You have to be a group member to take advantage of these items and right now group membership is free until December 24th. The Christmas chaise is the gift for the Mega Stuff2 Hunt. Just one. I rarely drink anymore at social events because sometimes all it takes is one glass of wine and I start to feel all warm and fuzzy. I’m quite an innocent babe when it comes to drinking and smoking. I have never drank a full beer. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever tried to taste another beer since that one partial taste that was bad enough. I like white wine more so than red and tend to go for fruity ones. I’m an amaretto/7 girl when it comes to anything more beyond wine. I might take a taste of something stronger at say a family gathering, but that’s the extent. Liquor and me just don’t jive. If rolling a piece of paper sack as a cigarette counts as smoking.. then I had my first smoke when I was ten years of age and was being all cool with some neighborhood friends. It must have cured me as I’ve never been inclined to take another try of the real thing. The aura of cigarette smoke is just not very appealing to some of us.. a gentle nudge nudge.

The fool.

Over the weekend the temperatures dipped into the mid 40s, which is a bit chilly for us Floridians when you’re used to an average of 80 plus degrees of sunshine. It was a nice change even if I hardly went out other than a few times out of necessity. Besides the chilly day yesterday I was also in a very restless mood that as the day went on juggled between feeling emotional and downright grumpy. Thankfully, no one was harmed during this episode of changeability.

I spent a good amount of time doing inventory while in Second Life, not necessarily deleting, more like organizing and rewriting descriptions to be able to find items in the future. It’s how I found myself wearing this cape and fools hat that were a gacha purchase at the recent round of the Fantasy Collective, which is still running for a few more days.

While editing the photo I did a quick search on the fool and found this snippet of information on what the fool means in a card reading.

“The Fool can signal a new beginning or change of direction – one that will guide you onto a path of adventure, wonder and personal growth. He also reminds you to keep your faith and trust your natural responses. If you are facing a decision or moment of doubt, the Fool tells you to believe in yourself and follow your heart no matter how crazy or foolish your impulses may seem.”

Considering that I have always found that when I’m feeling restlessness that it signals a time of transition in my life, this descriptive meaning couldn’t have fit any better.

ARIA at Uber

The monthly event Uber is now open and ARIA has a new mini set that is available there. The set includes a two sitter sofa, which comes with five leather texture options, three metal and wood options. It has single and couples animations and comes in Adult or PG version. The other items in the set include a metal trunk coffee table, cushions, flowers, decorative antler and a book pile with a metal skull. As usual a very versatile set that can be used almost year round. The rest of the items seen are noted below in the credits.

Bokeh

I’m keeping it simple today and just wanting to show this exclusive original mesh necklace that Bokeh has available at the Jewelry Fair. The necklace comes in three lengths with black or a precious metal rim options that you can change via menu. Even though it feels a little odd wearing a sweater when its still super hot in my real world, this fluffy sweater feels just right.
