I became familiar with DaD Designs through their landscape creations and now being reintroduced again through their newest creation of the Tuscany Loft. The loft at a footage of 24 x 30 is 100% original mesh and only a 40 land impact. It’s beautifully textured and quite spacious and can be purchased at 20% off while at the Cosmopolitan Room. It’s quite a bargain for only $390 lindens.

I’ve decorated using items already in my inventory and provided all the details below.

I remember it like yesterday

The days of the drive-in theaters are almost gone. In a 2014 news article there were only 338 of these theaters still left in America. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were about 7 still left in Florida alone. I think there may be a weekend trip in my near future just to once again experience this bygone era of reclining on the seat of the car eating buttery popcorn. While drive-in theaters are a thing of the past now they do conjure up good memories of my growing up years when dad use to take us kids as a special treat.

Our family actually has a funny story that involved a drive-in theater. A story that from time to time gets told when we are swapping childhood memories and poking good fun at each other and all of us siblings have something we are remembered for. The telling of the story is amusing now even though it wasn’t 30 plus years ago when my little brother got left behind at the drive-in. It was a matter of confusion and assumption that he left in the other parties vehicle to return home. That wasn’t the case as soon discovered when both cars arrived at home without him. You could say my parents and everyone was relieved he was found back at the theater just waiting for someone to pick him up. He was known to always wander off and getting lost so it’s now somewhat his legacy as a child, just as I am known for having always made little boys cry because I beat them at games. I know right.

Today, I’m bringing you a preview of the drive-in theater gacha set that unKindness has made for The Gacha Garden Event that just opened. The Old Americana gacha set is pretty awesome and will be 100 lindens per play. There are 3 rares and 11 commons to this set and one seed of inspiration. If you thought the Epiphany was a new way of experiencing gacha, here is another twist to playing gacha as we know it.

This is a short description on how it works, though check the website information if you want to know more. Players will make pulls on their favorite machines as they normally would with any other gacha. Every time a player makes 20 pulls on a single machine, they will receive a special gift called a “Seed of Inspiration” This is a gift by creators to those who play their machine at least 20 times. Those seeds of inspiration gifts will be no copy transferable items so you can trade, sell or keep as you normally would. Though once the event ends, those seeds of inspiration gifts will be retired and will never be made available again.

The seed of inspiration by unKindness is the concession stand with the rares being the ticket booth, movie screen and car port that holds a few original static poses. The commons are the tire rim, seats in blue, red and black, speakers, fences and fire tub that has a fire option.

I still bear some scars from growing up as a tomboy and even some as a clumsy adult like the slanted backwards letter “t” on my ankle for falling over bed rails during the process of moving. It seems I can’t escape them in Second Life either. Saying that my scraped knees with band aid is a new release by ‘Things’ for the newest round of The Fantasy Collective that begins today. It comes with appliers for Slink, Belleza, Omega and TMP and a version without the band aid is also included.

I was pleasantly pleased when I saw the newest decor items that Little Branch recently released for the new round of Shiny Shabby. The wall butterflies that come in various colors and the wall clock also in several colors fit perfectly with my newly decorated home. I love having a decorated home in Second Life, though it does limit my space for creating scenes for blog posts. I tend to always find just one more thing that feels right at home and my available prim count goes even lower creating more of a challenge. Oh well, that’s another reason why derendering works so well.

I am also wearing a scarf that the designer of MeshedUp has released for the Fantasy Collective as well. I did a zoom in picture above to show you how pretty it is. You can find the scarf in several colors to fit just about any color combination that you’re wearing.

In honor of Mexican Independence Day…

Today is Mexican Independence Day and I couldn’t go without honoring this holiday in some way. While it is something thought of and often acknowledged on this day, it’s not typically a holiday that many American born Mexican families in the USA celebrate. That doesn’t mean we’re not proud of our heritage. Most of us have a great appreciation for our Mexican culture and the homeland of our ancestors. If anything we definitely enjoy our Mexican food.

The Jewelry Fair opens today and I am showing you another couple of great items that will be available. This metallic mixed gold necklace and these studded shades in silver are fair exclusives from **Cila**. Normally I create my own scenes for blog pictures, except I didn’t have a scene in mind for what I ended up wearing. I’m also really out of touch with locations in Second Life.

Recently, we moved our residence to a new region and the new land sat vacant for more than a few days until Draco ~~ordered~~ challenged me to decorate the land and house in two days. I’m proud to say it only took me a few hours in one day to do the order. Coughs. I can’t complain considering that he did the landscaping and also decorated the majority of our last residence and the land was much bigger. He left me the kitchen. You think that’s a sign there?

Since it’s nearing the fall season I thought that decorating with that in mind would be sort of fitting. The color scheme was the perfect color combination for what I was wearing, so you get a glimpse of our new home.

I was in the mood a couple of nights ago to throw something together with some of my recent finds. Experimenting with lighting, a nice little tip that my friend Draco taught me. Though I had a heck of a time trying to get the bicycle wheels to show and not fade out as I drew the camera back to get a bigger size of the room. I had most of my settings as usual, so no idea what the issue was.

Despite the little bit of troubles I was rather pleased with the outcome and decided I would post it today.
