“….and the winner is… ”

I have never been much into sports and rarely… better said almost never do I take the time to sit and just watch a sports game. I don’t dislike sports. Its just never been my interest and pretty much the only games I’ve ever sat down to watch were the little league games my nieces and nephews participated in as they were growing up. The few live events that I tagged along with friends were always fun if just seeing people’s reactions to some action out on the field. It’s pretty amazing to see people’s enthusiasm or moments of insanity if their team fails to live up to their expectations.

Today in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Italy plays against Costa Rica. You could say I am a little bias for team Italy… and I will be cheering them on from my imaginary sidelines. After seeing the availability of these cute toddleedoo world cup uniforms it was fun bringing out the little me to take pictures with.

I am also showing the World Cup Snacks Stadium that Aphrodite Shops released that is mesh that is made up of all sorts of snacks for you to enjoy your virtual experience of watching the soccer games with family and friends. The stadium dispenses over a dozen items for you to munch on.

Coffee O’Clock

“Life’s too short to drink cheap coffee.”

Today I am combining something new with some previous buys, most of which are gacha items from past events. Aphrodite Shops has released a new mesh fully animated coffee machine that has on and off sounds and a coffee beans container. It dispenses a dozen of different gourmet coffees. It comes with the new automatic attachment system that I like, that doesn’t create items in your inventory. The set comes with a dozen decorative cups that are rezzable and also decorative sugar bags. The cookie platter is also part of the set and on touch dispenses cookies. Those little details in a product matter to me — especially when you want to have an interactive experience.

After looking at those cookies it really makes me want to have something sweet in real.

It was perfect…

Several days ago I saw a Second Life picture that featured as part of the scene a station wagon, which stirred up some memories and a little melancholy. It took me to happy memories in my youth, because a station wagon was our family vehicle for many years. While my father had a love for big vehicles and by that I mean they were very long by today’s standards. I remember one of his favorites was a 1979 Lincoln Town Car and it was in the eighties when he owned it. As I think about it today, I don’t know if a station wagon would have been his first choice of vehicles to drive. In his case, you could say it was an absolute necessity with eight children.

There were many road trips that we did going across the country to visit my father’s family, who lived on the west coast. I don’t know how we managed to all fit in the station wagon, though maybe that explains why it only took dad three days to go from Florida to the state of Washington. After spending the weekend with two children under the age of five — I can only imagine eight children would be incentive enough to drive with very little sleep and only necessary stops like gassing up just to get to your destination as quickly as possible.

That’s what made me search on marketplace for a station wagon and found this green one, which besides the color resembles one of the wagons we had. It was perfect. What made it right was that it has a Texas license tag and that’s where dad was born.
