How steamy can it get

Happy Monday!! I’m certainly happy as last night we had the worst of the weakened hurricane pass through my area. Though if you heard my doors rattling and seen the lights flickering on and off you would have thought otherwise.  We lost power just after 2 am and was restored only a few hours ago. I’m relieved and very thankful, because news reports were indicating it could be weeks. I hope anyone who was in Irma’s path fared well.

We ❤ Role-Play, which opened on the 4th and is ongoing until the end of month had some home decor in this round.  I’m showcasing [ zerkalo ] and Artisan Fantasy who are participating.  The bed and wall sconce are by [ zerkalo ] and the bath items are by Artisan.  Great sets that complimented each other very well. Sake Shop

I think we are going to sidestep Irma Hurricane with the current track of having shifted to the northwest and for that I’m very thankful. While we are still getting the rain and wind even now I can hear it outside and more expected throughout the night and into the morning, it’s nowhere near what was originally predicted. Thankful I definitely am.

I’m showcasing the Mazda Sake Shop by Anhelo, which is at the Arcade. There are 20 pieces with 2 being rare; for a view of the gacha key visit Anhelo Flickr. The land impact ranges from 103 for the sake shop to 1 for a shelf.

Also shown is the bus stop shelter by Anhelo that was a previous Fifty Linden Friday item.  Unfortunately, I don’t get enough time to get those blogged before as most of my posts are mostly planned out. Next time I’ll try to remember just to mention it on my current post.  Though if you missed grabbing it is available at their main store.

First a big thank you for everyone who sent keep safe messages and thoughts and prayers. I appreciate all of them and warmed me greatly. Right now it’s pretty calm and the expected arrival into my area is into late Sunday into Monday morning, and likely the strength of a category 3.  While living in Florida most of my life has given me some experience of going through such extreme weather it can still be a little nerve wracking.

The Secluded House

I should probably mention that if I suddenly go missing for a few days it’s probably due to a loss of power as most of you know I’m in Florida and we have an approaching hurricane.  To say the least things have been and are a little crazy lately as most of our local stores are short on supplies and no gas to be found at any of the gas stations.  I’m staying put for the time being even though we expect to get pummeled when it makes landfall and travels up the state. While precautions have been made I’ve adopted the motto.. “What will be, will be.”

In the meantime I get to continue to show you more wonderful stuff around the grid for home and garden.  Several days ago I gave you a glimpse of the “The Secluded House” decor by 22769 that is available at the Arcade, and so today I am showcasing it on it’s own.  It’s a really amazing set that can be fully appreciated when you have advanced lighting on, especially when it comes to the portrait on the wall.  I was lucky enough to get this shot in to show how the frame looks with the lighting on, because without light it is a totally different picture.  You can see the fantastic details and the quality of the textures on the furniture even in this dark photo.

Timeless aging

If you’re familiar with Death Row Designs, that is also known as DRD, then you know the quality and the overall awesome creativity they are known for.  They recently introduced their new concept; the Shadow Box, a monthly subscription box that has a bit of mystery to it. Something new and unknown once a month, with a bonus reward if you purchase every box in the series, which is 6 months.

I’m going to link you to the Death Row Designs website where you can learn all about this new subscription box and how to subscribe. You will not be at all disappointed if you do.

Just opening the box is an amazing experience! You click the nicely wrapped box tied with rope, which sets it to start animating to unwrap itself and as the paper and rope fall to the side a beautiful standing jewelry box is revealed that also animates opening its doors on the side and top and you automatically receive two folders containing the light and dark sets of the series.

I’m showing the items in the light version set. As you can see they are remarkably well done.  The sofa and chair have sit animations as well as the piano chair with objects having a land impact that range from 2 to 18.

What if life gives you bananas?

You eat them of course. If you google, you’ll find there a lot of reasons why munching on a firm yet creamy banana is good for you. It’s a happy fruit that possesses nutrients that relieve stress and helps keep you upbeat and it’s also great for an energy boost among many other things.

There is even a new proverbial saying of “a banana a day keeps the doctor away,” so eat a banana or have sex as you’re probably going to see the frames and think of it anyway.  It does have some of the same benefits… just saying.
