Unkindness 002

There are days and many here lately where I can be driven to drink.  I’m just thankful that I’ve never been inclined to taking a drink to solve my problems.  I’m not much of a drinker at all.  I think I’ve mentioned this before on my blog a time or too.  One glass of wine is enough sometimes to get me tipsy.  Anything beyond that I’m in peril of my own tongue.

Even though it wasn’t planned this way.  Tonight as I write this blog I am disposed to celebrate as I got to reconnect with a certain someone, who continues to be someone important in my life.  I toast to the cherished bond we have. Cheers Italiano!

The luggage trolley I am sitting on is a new creation by unKindness and is currently available at the Love to Decorate Event, that will run from August 10th to August 24th.   It comes in four versions: iron, silver, gold or bronze with custom made poses – two for men, two for women and two for couples. It’s a fun piece in my book.

I also want to share some of the goodies I just recently found.  The Paris penthouse skybox I am using is from Barnesworth Anubis and is currently at Collabor88 for only 88 lindens!  It’s a steal and makes for a fabulous starter home or for anyone who has limited prims to use or lindens.  The other bargain and it really is a bargain! The remaining furniture minus the alcohol are from Apple Fall and can all be purchased for $0 lindens. I was surprised myself to find all these wonderful items for free.  I went to the main store to find a pendent lamp, which is a group gift this month and couldn’t find it and then had to resort to area search. It was during that area search for a $0 linden group gift that I discovered the rest of the furniture. Except, the frame with the flower, which can be found right now at FaMESHed with his items this month.

If you look further you might find some other items at $0 lindens throughout the store and many items have also been reduced as well. Great time to shop at Apple Fall. The bottles and glass are from [kunst] and can be found at the main store.

The sweet luxuries of having time

It used to be that taking long hot baths was just pretty common.  Something we did that was enjoyable and was a treat to ourselves.  It’s been quite a long time where I’ve indulged in this luxury.

The new round of FaMESHed is now open and [ARIA] has brought us a complete bathroom set.  It’s available in pg and adult and each comes with animations for singles and couples.  The set includes the bathtub, vanity, mirror, silk robe, towels hanging, toilet, soap dispenser, toothbrush holder and toilet paper.

The stool is Aria’s participation in the Mix Event and comes with 9 poses some with attachable props and with 8 texture change options.  It’s not meant for the bathroom, but I tested the animations and they work well enough to be used there.  In this day and age it won’t be strange for your guy to sit on the stool and drink coffee or work on the laptop while watching you take a soak. Just saying.

Decadence

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far.  It’s been raining lots here in my part of the world.  While these summer thunderstorms don’t last very long they seem to come in with a vengeance at times.  They make their presence known with their thundering rumblings and strikes of lighting.

It makes for a lazy afternoon and if you have to stay indoors then why not go for a little decadence.  The Perfect 10 event is about to start in a few days and you can find this bench from Impertinences to help you if you’re so inclined to a little self-indulgence.   You can find the bench in a brown or black wood that come with a texture change hud to change the leather of the seat that also has ten poses to choose from.

If you haven’t already joined the 21Shoe group then you’re missing out on some great group gifts.  I’m wearing the latest gift that was provided by Kelpsydra, which are these stockings that come in three colors and are made to fit the Maitreya and TMP mesh bodies and also come with omega appliers and system layer.  With this pose you really can’t see much of the violet boudoir corset I’m wearing, though it was only 50 lindens and if you hurry you can still find it today.

If you want a little more color in your gardens, these field of poppies by Little Branch come in several colors and are available right now at the LTD Event.  They come in two versions, the square field or rounded field and really make a nice addition to any landscape.

It’s been a long time since I have done a full hunt.  As it is my inventory really needs a major overhaul and one day I am determined to do something about it.  Right now I’m blissfully happy using what I can find in my somewhat organized folders when I search for what I need.  What I found that I liked in doing hunts is that it gave me an opportunity to discover stores I didn’t know.  With the number of events going each month it’s a wonder if anyone finds time to visit a main store anymore.

Getting back to hunts.  I noticed that Menstuff was having a hunt for men and given that I already shop for myself and lil me adding a third party to that equation would be excessive not to mention an expense I really can’t justify even to myself.  Given he only gets used sparingly when I want to have a male presence in my pictures.  Though given the way my computer groans when I am using two viewers it’s becoming less and less of a desire.  I did find with this last round of pictures that using the CtrlAltStudio viewer with very low settings and the regular viewer I use, Firestorm, it was a bit more manageable.  I’m straying again.  My mind seems to be all over the place lately.   I’ll just add this.  The Menstuff Hunt is a great hunt for men with about 100 stores.  I figured that my male alt could use a few new outfits so that he is picture ready for when I need him. The best part for you men is that each item will only cost you at the minimum 1L.

Just a suggestion.

That’s also the name of the pose that I am using on my main avatar.  It’s made by Kuro in Motion and can be found at the main store.   I teamed it up with this other pose to give him a little push to go.

I can’t even begin to express my love, respect and appreciation for this man. He continues to show me time after time that when it matters the most he is always present.  There is really truth in the saying that distance really means so little when two people connect and care for one another.

Gracias por tu amistad y cariño mi imposible Italiano.

This past week has brought some change into my life and I’ve no idea at present how and when things will start to level out again.  As mentioned before I may go days without blogging, but will try and post here and there.  The other day I was a bit restless and began to play with the blog and on the spur of the moment I decided to change the name of my blog and the URL without really considering some of the impact. Like how this would affect my current following.   There is still much for me to figure out, but hopefully will work them through in the next few weeks.

Finishing Touches 005

The May round of Perfect 10 is already on going as it started on the 1st and will run through the 15th.  Though if you have not made it there yet, this furniture decor set by Finishing Touches can be found at the event. It’s in soft spring colors of pink, yellow, green and white.   Personally, it’s a very cheerful set that makes you feel all bright and happy and those macaroons are delicious just looking at them.

My little owl friend just fit in perfect with this set and provided me with some amusement as I tried all the animations.  It’s a great decor item for any child’s room and not to mention the fun it brings.

I’m at my work desk taking a small break to write this post and moving to the song “Demons” by Imagine Dragons as I had just finished reading a fellow bloggers post, which contained the video to this song.  I love the tune of that song and another great tune that I favor these days is “Take me to Church” by Hozier.   They just suit the mood lately and I’m a sort of laughing right now as I realize the coincidental pairing of both titles.

Maybe I’ll just leave this with a quote…. “Throw me to the wolves, and I’ll return leading the pack.”
