[Circa] Living/Z is for…(challenge)

Snapshot_024

Today I am finishing off the Alphabet Challenge with this zebra cream cropped blouse from Vive Nine and zebra sunglasses from Gabriel that were part of the swagbag gift from the Hollywood event that happened several months ago.   The challenge has been fun and I really enjoyed getting to dig into my inventory.    With this outfit I am also wearing a “Serendipity” diamond ball ring from [Circa] Living that is available as a gacha item at The Monochromatic Fair that runs until May 2, 2014.   There are 18 rings to win, with 8 being rare colors.

Snapshot_0063

I am also showing off this excellent “Charlotte Bay” room set from [Circa] Living that you can also find at The Monochromatic Fair.  There are single and couple animations in the sofa swing and sit-lay single animations in the sofa, with 8 blue textures you can choose from to complement your taste and decor.

Snapshot_0266

The retro chairs also give you several options of fabrics and sit animations.  It is a very detailed and well designed set.  The coffee table has three wood colors that you can change on touch.   The rest of the pieces in the set really fit so well in any room.  I added a few pieces like the glass bowl and vase with flowers and books in the corner crates to finish the room.

Coastal “Sea Shell” Chairs

“If you only knew how much those little moments with you mattered to me.” ~ Reminiscingourmoments | Tumblr

Mi Amor

Today I want to share these new chairs that Heart Homes/Aphrodite Shops recently released. There is a chair for a man and one for a woman, because the animations and props are made for each. A choice of seven fabrics that you could choose from and fourteen animations in each chair.  What I like about these chairs is that when you choose a certain animation that comes with a prop a box comes up inviting you to accept and when you do the prop automatically gets positioned in place.  It’s not a new technology though I do like seeing it in furniture items as it won’t add another item into your inventory when accepting a prop.

Drinking Wine

I want to introduce someone who has been in several of my blog posts and to date I have not mentioned anything about him.  He is not my male alt that I have used in past blog posts, rather he is someone who has become a close friend and an important  part of my life.  His name is Draco. He deserves to be mentioned and not only just for always being so agreeable to pose with me.  Though the rest I’ll keep between him and me.  🙂

P is for… (challenge)

Snapshot_007

Second Life was being difficult last night and after several attempts to try and get back in I just stopped.   Apparently unscheduled maintenance was the cause of my frustration in those attempts. This morning I log and try to get the credits I needed to have been able to post this last night and wouldn’t you know it I get a restart within a few minutes of only looking away to check my email.   I’m easily distracted like that.  With no time to teleport away I’m off Second Life within seconds.

I just don’t have the patience or really the time to wait to be able to log back in, so I am going to do my very best to credit those items I don’t know offhand.  Yesterday’s letter of the alphabet challenge was “P” and what better opportunity to feature these items from Poche.  This is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while now, because this store is one of my favorite places not only because of their generosity in always giving away gifts in their store, but their reasonable prices for what they do charge so I always end up buying their stuff.   The strawberry sweet tart and the flowers on the table are items that are currently at Seasons Story (I hope!) and for only 50L!.  Actually on a quick check to the Seraphim blog, this is the right location.  The other food is also from Poche and its a curry set and the breads are separate and also from Poche.   You really ought to check out their cute cafe – one at the main store and another at a different location.

Today’s letter I will do later tonight hopefully and since it’s “Q” I think it will stand for a quiet moment.

Right at Home…

“Do you know what it means to come home at night to a woman who’ll give you a little love, a little affection, a little tenderness?  It means you’re in the wrong house, that’s what it means.” ~ Henny Youngman

Living Room

That quote made me have a good chuckle.   No mistake here.  I’m in the right house — this is my current accommodations.

Living Room 4

I really love my cozy kitchen.  It took modifying some of the items and making them smaller to fit in the space, but overall I really liked the way it came out.

Kitchen

I used a mixture of old and new items, including hunt items.   My credits will be dragging. 🙂

Lesson 41

“We’re all human and we all goof.  Do things that may be wrong, but do something.” ~ Newt Gingrich

Working Hard

I couldn’t help and use this quote, because it perfectly fits these pictures of goofing off while in the office and by rights, totally wrong if it’s against office policy.   Perhaps your experience is different to mine.  I don’t know of too many companies that allow you to take the phone off the hook, sit back and recline to watch a movie on the computer and my favorite of all… to have a buttocks planter?

Taking a Break

I wouldn’t advice anyone to indulge in the activities above — unless you want to take a forced week off.  Smiles.

Lesson 41:  Take the Week Off!

Congratulations! Your assignment this week is to take a week off. Simply acknowledge all the great work you’ve done so far and luxuriate in your free time. Have fun!

Your Self-Love Assignment

Bask in What You’ve Accomplished!  This is a week to bask in the glory of what you’ve already accomplished. If you encounter any resistance to giving yourself time off, breathe in, and remind yourself that you deserve it!

See you next week.

Lesson 40

Snapshot_016

I used to love visiting small bookstores that were cozy, intimate and with an atmosphere of being somewhat quaint.  You could say it was something I indulged in frequently, because it was a place that I found tremendously relaxing and could spend hours just reading in a softly lit corner somewhere.  Unfortunately, it is hard to find any of these types of bookstores around anymore.  At least not where I live.   The only time I get to indulge in a setting like this is when I go visit  a friend of mine that lives in one of the Carolina states.   She has a small sun room that has bookshelves built in and large windows.  I just love sitting there with the sun streaming in and reading a book.

I think her sun room is calling my name.

Lesson 40: Indulge

What are some ways to really indulge? How about languishing extra long in bed on a rainy Sunday morning; skipping the nonfat, no-carb cookie and treating yourself to a hot fudge sundae; buying yourself flowers and sprinkling some of the petals on your bed and pillow; bringing your favorite novel and a cool drink with you into the bathtub so you can luxuriate in the soothing water; getting lost for hours window-shopping or browsing through a bookstore; and planning a day that’s all about you.

These are examples of healthy indulgence. Discipline and structure are essential components for creating the best year of your life, but they need to be balanced with moments of luxury. This is your week to indulge!

Your Self-Love Assignment

Imagine that your favorite person in the whole world is coming to visit you this week. This person has been working hard and is looking forward to some serious relaxation time. Imagine that the two of you have the same tastes, and it’s your job to plan at least three things you can do to ensure that your friend gets the most out of your time together. Write down three indulgent activities that you would like to share with your friend.

Now read over your list, because this is your self-love assignment for the week. Choose at least two of these activities and indulge yourself!

 Self-Love Points Earned

Give yourself 100 points for every healthy act of indulgence.
