Good morning, as it’s still morning here for me and I’m still somewhat groggy from a late night and little sleep. I definitely need a shot of caffeine, but more like a coke or even a root beer rather than coffee. When it’s so unbearably hot I can’t fathom drinking hot liquids or even having any type of soup unless it’s French onion soup, because that’s one of my favorites.

Before I start rambling I’ll move on to what I’m showing today.  It’s sort of a mixture of fashion and decor and it’s from several sponsors who are at events and then items from Cosmopolitan.

It’s a busy week for me as I try to wrap up a project in real life so you might be getting a few posts without much commentary.

Fun at the drive-in diner

Getting in another post today to share with you the start of the Vintage Fair, plus it seems it’s a theme that has crossed over onto other events this month.  Participating at the Vintage Fair Event is [Tia], who brings a bit of nostalgic fun with her release of the Betty’s Diner Set.  The second picture gives you close up of some of the items from the set, which is the retro telephone booth with public phone, one of the signs of a few in the set, and the table with four color chairs and the items on all the tables. Fantastic set to give you a little taste of a by-gone era.

I’m also showing you a new release by unKindness, which is Lucky’s Drive-In Diner set at Collabor88. The set includes the larger pieces and the connected tables and drive-in menu signs.  It’s another fantastic set in my opinion.  Collabor88 runs from the 8th of the month to 6th of July and the Vintage Fair goes from 9th of June to the 25th of June. If you click on the logo for the event below the credits, it will take you directly to the web site where you can get all sort of other great information on the event and whose participating as well as the map of where each participant is located.

I have been wanting to try this method of using a frame on my photos and thought this was a good opportunity to try as it lends to the whole vintage look. It’s not something that I will do all the time, but might just try it again.

Hello everyone!  I’m here later than usual due to a change in my normal routine. While I’m not set to any specific time when it comes to blogging my thoughts are that it is worthwhile to adhere to a schedule as it gives us a bit of discipline and for me it’s also been a good tool to stay focused and not fall behind.

I won’t be long winded. I promise. It just means you will have to peruse credits to find everything that my picture is showing.  The items being showcased are at the Relay for Life Home & Garden Expo, which ends on June 4th.  I hope you’ve had a chance to go and support the worthy cause behind this annual event. Funds are raised for Relay for Life of Second Life, that ultimately goes to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society through it’s signature event Relay for Life.

Riverside Cottage by DaD Design @ Ultra Event

Morning everyone, even though it’s just on the cusp of it turning noon so good afternoon too.  Just a quick post today to show the newest home by DaD Design. The Riverside Cottage is available at the Ultra Event.  It’s got a footage of 24,5 x 16,3 with a land impact of 39 including the plants. It has simple lines with large windows and the entrance has two planters with a selection of bushes and includes the walking path.

The lights on the walkway are from Needful Prims Store and are the donation item at the RFL Home & Garden Expo, so all proceeds from this go to benefit Relay for Life. The trees in this post are by DaD Design and are older landscaping items by this creator and slightly higher in prim, but still awesome for your landscaping needs.

Edited: I forgot to mention the arbour bench by [Merak]. which is available at the main store. It has a land impact of 8 and comes with animations for female, male and couples as well some activities animations.

Happy Wednesday! My apologies for no description with my picture yesterday, as I would have wanted to write a little something on the items I was featuring. I just didn’t have the energy resources for doing more.  I won’t go into details, though I’m experiencing some reoccurring health issues that hopefully will be sorted out soon.

Today I’m featuring items by Shutter Field in collaboration with Decor Junction, [Tia] and Tukinowaguma.  I’ll start with the decor, the garden room is available at this round of Shiny Shabby by Shutter Field/Decor Junction and it’s in two versions, white as shown and a rustic.  The other item by these same creators is the whale towel holder, which is a new release at Home & Garden Expo. It seemed to go perfect with the rest of the items being featured.

The bathroom set, which is made up of the silver bathtub, plank rug, canopy, chair, flower vase, side table and water jugs is by [Tia] for this round of Shiny Shabby. It’s a delightful set with only a 23 land impact.  You also get a texture change menu for the chair, giving you 7 options on colors.  The last item is the hair worn, which is the swept up new hair release by Tukinowaguma at the new round of Tres Chic.

I’m back this evening with another post and again it’s a mixture of fashion and decor.  I’ll begin with the home decor items as this is my first post introducing you to this year’s Relay For Life Home & Garden Expo that just opened yesterday and will end on June 4th.  It’s an annual event that raises money for Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL). The Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event, and RFL of SL is one of its virtual counterparts. Please visit both the Home & Garden Expo website and the RFL of SL website for more information.

The exhibitors participating at this event are required to have two 100% donation items at the Expo. These items must be new and exclusive to the Expo for the duration of the event.  Bloggers for this event are assigned to a particular sim and they are required to blog any donation items from their sim first before they can blog any other items. I believe there is a total of 9 sims for this event and I happened to get assigned to one that had relatively few creators and while I was a bit disappointed that none of these creators had blogger boxes its actually given me a little freedom to blog who ever had boxes out at other sims.  That being the case I am going to try and do my very best to feature as many creators as I can during the event that will include a mixture of donated and other items.

Today’s post has items by World of Wood, a store that specializes in quality wooden homes, lodges, cabins and furniture.  I just really liked this office set and bookshelves that come with several texture options for the wood.  I like dark wood so I chose mahogany.  Theory is a store that carries classic and contemporary furnishings and they have the English chest on barley twist legs and the brass box terrarium at the event.  The last item featured from this event is the trellis with orange climbing roses just outside the window by TerraShop, a store that makes quality mesh flowers and plants.

Then I’m featuring items by 22769, a well known store that carries a little bit of everything in home and garden decor.  They are participating in a few events this month. The Colonial lounge set is their release for The Challenge Event.  The set includes the bench, side table, elephant picture and the pineapple lamp.  The plant on the stand and on the chest are their release for this month’s round of The Liaison Collaborative, which I’ve previously featured in another recent post. The plate with donuts is from their Sugar Shock gacha set at The Gacha Garden. Sweet friendships always refreshes the soul

Morning and Happy Friday!! I hope your weekend is off to a good start and while I have somewhat of a busy one with things I have to get done I’m looking forward to mine.

Today’s post is a collaboration with fellow blogger and someone I now call friend, Jules, who has her own blog at Sunshine & Sparkles.  It’s an appropriate name for her, as her personality is all sunshine and sparkles and I really like that about her. Plus she shares my sun sign of Aries, with our birthdays just days apart, so we’re finding that we have a lot in common including our feisty nature.  I think she has more patience than me and might not be as stubborn as I can be at times.  I know that’s hard to believe, but alas it’s true as much as I hate to admit it.  I do try to reign it in, because it’s not really endearing qualities to have.
