Free as a bird

I’m showing this free spirited outfit by Luas, which is currently at Tres Chic. It’s a gacha with 12 commons and no rares. The lipstick that I am wearing is by Zibska and it is the Visare pack available at Shiny Shabby. It has 30 colors and it’s unisex and made for TMP/Catwa/Lelutka/Omega and also tattoo layers. You can take a look at the options here. I normally blog her items on my fantasy blog, but Zibska is an amazing creator and a remarkable talent. Just take a look at her awesome pictures.

The hair is called Farah, and its by Sn@tch at Genre. The theme for this round is disco and that era pertains to the late 60s and early 70s. I don’t know specifically, though this hair may be styled after the actress Farah Fawcett that played in the Charlie’s Angels sitcom that ran in the late 70s.

I am also featuring the birdcage gazebo by SAYO, which is available at the ongoing round of Draftsman. It’s available in a few other colors.

The pose is another in the Katya series by K&S Poses. The handbag when worn modded the angle of the hand with its own animation, so just to note.

Qué Será De Ti

I woke up with a touch of melancholy this morning, which sort of set the tone for the earlier part of my day. I did my best not to wallow in it and thankfully it’s passing quickly and my mood has greatly improved as the day kept moving forward.

Now today I’m showing the Saint Mary Magdalen Church by Ionic, which is available at The Forest. There is something about this church that really grabs me. It’s well done and will make a lovely addition to any landscape. If you’re not familiar with this event, then be aware that it is a membership paid event where you pay a fee to get the items for that month. Though it was recently announced that you now have the option to buy certain packages where you can pay a certain amount for up to a predetermined number of items. Bear in mind we’re just having fun

It’s hard to believe this month is almost over and in my book it pretty much signals the end of the year is knocking at our doors. It also means that next month is December and a whole new round of gacha goodies from the Arcade.

They were missing in action at the September round, but the much loved BoOgErS bears are back at this round of the Arcade. I have included the vendor ad below so that you can see the keys to the bears. Also, be mindful these bears are ONLY sold at The Arcade gacha events. They will never be sold again after the round is over and the bears from previous rounds are hot collectibles, so make sure you grab your set during the December round. If you get a complete set and want to swap for a copy no transfer set, you can contact the creator. Instructions should be included with any purchase.

I’m also showing the quaint cottage by Violetility at Draftsman. It has a land impact of 50. The Christmas decor is by Your Dreams and its pieces from their Christmas at Home gacha and is also at Draftsman. The winter landscape is by Bee Designs and it’s available at their Christman Lane sim. I got a chance to visit and it’s absolutely delightful and a must see. It’s just fun to stroll through with all the decor and snow and lights.

The wreath I’ve shown before on a previous post. It’s by [Tia] and can be purchased individually or as part of theValarie Lounge set at Shiny Shabby. The hedgehogs are by Fashiowl and are part of a pose that’s available at Tres Chic. I just adored them and wanted to use in this scene. I’ve also included the key below so that you can see the pose for it.

The last item being featured is what lil me is wearing, which is the adorable Christmas dress that is a group gift for Buglets.

Today is Thanksgiving here in America and so wishing all my fellow American readers a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving.

While I try to live an attitude of gratitude each and everyday this day does gives us all an opportunity to acknowledge and be grateful and thankful for the many blessings we have in our lives.

I certainly have many in both worlds starting with the love and support of family and friends. I also count blogging as a blessing as it has provided me with a form of entertainment, relaxation and a platform for meeting so many wonderful people. It has helped me grow in my photography skills and to evolve in the digitial art and media as well as social media, but I would not be as successful if it were not for the readers who follow and enjoy my work and click the “like” button or leave a kind word. Those small acts are part of what encourages me to continue to learn and grow.

Winter Getaway

I’m back! As mentioned in my earlier post today that I might be making second appearance today on my blog to show the Aspen Cabin by DaD Designs. Well here it is, giving you a front view and then some pictures of the inside of this one bedroom and one bath with a good size living room space. It’s available at Shiny Shabby.

I’m also featuring some winter landscape stuff. The first is the winter tree by Panavia that’s now at Draftsman. It has a land impact of 10 as rezzed and will go down or higher depending on which way you resize. The pine trees along with the chipmunks decor and the lamps on the doorstep are by Dreamscapes Art Gallery and at the main store.

Self propelled

I’m shooting for less words today and more pictures even though I’m not quite sure I will accomplish it by the time I’m done. I’m very cold sitting here at my desk even with a long sleeve sweater and a jacket on top of that and I’m getting a headache to boot. After I complete this post I’m hopping into the comfort of my bed and really going to focus on a lazy Sunday.

Today the Draftsman event opens and just from the few pictures I’ve seen already there is going to be some really great things to be found. Just take a look at these wonderful aviation items made up of the propellers, frames and the coat rack from Blue Sky. They are mod as I resized one of the propellers to a small size, so that I could show you more than one.

I’m wearing a new hair design by Iconic, which I absolutely love as it frames the face very well and I just love the waves and the length. The dress is by United Colors and I was complimented more than twice while wearing it in a different color yesterday. That just tells you how downright sexy it is with the right amount of skin showing. Both can be found at Tres Chic. The light gold wrist bracelet is by Salvadori and it’s at On9 also and available in a couple of other metal tones. I’m also using another standing pose by K&S Poses.

The fall entry set is by Quasi, and it’s perfect for the season we’re in and available at On9, as well as the renanta couch by New Church. The design is really neat and different and texture change by the click of the cushion and seat of the couch.

Last, but certainly not least I am also showing a new build by DaD Designs. The Cave Skybox is just perfect if you want something cozy with a bit of elegant modern living. I took a few pictures and collaged them, but if you click on it you can see it at a larger size.

Stand tall and be strong

Over the summer I took a trip to Texas as I was contemplating on moving there at the time. I traveled with all women that are members of my immeidate family visiting various cities. While at each city we took in the local attractions and in San Antonio one of the places we visited was the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, where you get to drive through acres of what their web site describes as “rolling hills, creek beds, and magnificent live oak trees and witness the behavior of over 500 animals from 40 exotic, native and endangered animal species worldwide.”

I can certainly attest to seeing a lot of animals that literally came up to your car as you drove through at a slow pace. Unfortunately, during the time we traveled that part of the nation was experiencing heavy rains and the roads where the giraffes were housed and roamed were flooded. My niece loves these tall and regal looking animals and I do also. Though to compensate they had moved a few giraffes to the front of the ranch in an enclosed area where you could walk to and see them up close. This was one of the best highlights of our trip as we really had an enjoyable time seeing all the animals and we laughed so hard during our time there that it will always be a pleasant memory for all of us to cherish as we bonded even closer then.

So that when I saw this nicely done woodlance fence set from .peaches., which is their release for the Draftsman Event that starts tomorrow I thought of using giraffes, which then made me remember our trip. The fence ranges in land impact from 1 to 12 for the arch with the gate. I will be showing more items from this event in the coming days.

My hair and clothes are from this round of Tres Chic with the hair with fedora being by Beusy and sweater top and suede lace-up shorts or hotpants as named by Petite Mort. It’s not often that I go outside my natural tones when it comes to wearing hairs, but I felt like something different today so I chose the special colors to wear. I thought it looked really pretty and vibrant.

The outfit is mesh body compatible and is also available in several different colors; 5 for the hotpants and 10 for the tops. They fit perfectly with my maitreya mesh body and to complement the outfit I am wearing the newest thigh high heels by Empire called Weigela that are available at this new round of Kustom9. The pose is another great one by K&S Poses, which is a continuing one of their Katya sets.

Draftsman, a SL Architecture Event

I’m introducing a new event called Draftsman, that will be coming next month. Draftsman, is a SL Architecture Event, that aims to bring together the best designers and architects in one bi-monthly shopping event. It will focus on original, unique mesh and taking us back through time from the dawn of man to the future societies of tomorrow.

This next picture is a collage of three photos of the sim to show the setup for designers and also share some of the awesome and inspiring quotes that you will see that line the walkways of the event platform.
