Coffee O’Clock

“Life’s too short to drink cheap coffee.”

Coffee

Today I am combining something new with some previous buys, most of which are gacha items from past events.  Aphrodite Shops has released a new mesh fully animated coffee machine that has on and off sounds and a coffee beans container.  It dispenses a dozen of different gourmet coffees.  It comes with the new automatic attachment system that I like, that doesn’t create items in your inventory.   The set comes with a dozen decorative cups that are rezzable and also decorative sugar bags.  The cookie platter is also part of the set and on touch dispenses cookies.  Those little details in a product matter to me — especially when you want to have an interactive experience.

After looking at those cookies it really makes me want to have something sweet in real.

Lesson 46/S is for…(challenge)

S Challenge

I don’t often like to post twice, though I really do want to catch up on items and today I am motivated. I’m making progress with my real life work and taking breaks does help when you start to get bogged down in technical writing of policies.

Today the letter for the alphabet challenge is “S” and so I am not only featuring myself (joking), these horses and statue that were group gifts from Storaxtree and these trees that were part of 30L Saturday this week {still can get today} from Sweet Revolutions.  The desk and stool are from Ionic gacha items at The Chapter Four event this month.  I thought it would portray the lesson for this week of creating a plan of action of actions for goals you want to achieve in the next twelve months. The pose in the chair is called “inspired” which I thought was appropriate.

Lesson 46:  Create a Plan of Action!

Lots of people have hopes, dreams, wishes, and fantasies about how they’d like their lives to be, but few have translated their desires into clearly defined goals. It’s time to review your goals and create a plan of action for their fulfillment.

For a goal to be effective, it has to meet a few basic criteria:

First, it must be specific. You must state what you want in a way that’s clear, concise, and easily understandable.

Second, it must be measurable. You must quantify your goal so there’s no mistake about whether or not you’ve achieved it.

Third, your goal must be set up within a particular time line. When will you start, and by when will your goal be achieved?

Your assignment this week is to set one goal for yourself that will give you the greatest sense of having lived an extraordinary year, then create a plan of action for its fulfillment.

Your Self-Love Assignment

Close your eyes and ask yourself, “What goal could I achieve within the next 12 months that would leave me feeling inspired by myself and excited about my life?”

Now that you’ve identified your goal, answer the following questions and you will have created a plan of action that, if followed, will lead you to its fulfillment.

  • What is the measurable result I want to achieve?
  • How will I know when it’s accomplished?
  • What is the time frame in which I will accomplish it?
  • What three actions can I take this week that will move me toward the fulfillment of this goal?

Self-Love Points Earned

Give yourself 100 points for creating your plan of action, and another 100 points for taking actions this week to move you toward your goals.

Lesson 37

LOVE2

Maybe all we need in this world is a little more love.  Enough said.

© The Best Year of Your Life by Debbie Ford

Lesson 37: Make Powerful Requests

Our ability to manifest the things we desire is in direct proportion to how powerfully and clearly we can state our requests. Some of us were taught that it’s impolite to make direct requests, so instead we manipulate, drop subtle hints, dance around a subject, or expect those around us to read our minds. What time and effort we could save if we would just learn to ask for what we want!

A powerful request is one that’s clear and specific and lets the listener know exactly what you want and by what time you want it. It’s not a demand, but an invitation to participate in your vision. Remember the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “If you don’t’ ask, you don’t get.”

To turn our visions into reality, we must cultivate the art of making powerful requests.

Your Self-Love Assignment

This week, acknowledge the areas in your life where you’re able to make powerful requests. In what situations or relationships are you able to clearly ask for what you need? With your clients or co-workers? With your children or friends?

Now notice the places where you’re unable to ask for what you need and identify what stops you from making powerful requests. Is it embarrassment? Fear of rejection? Lack of confidence?

Allow yourself to see what belief, thought, or fear you’d have to give up in order to clearly state your needs and desires.

And finally, identify two powerful requests you could make this week that would move you in the direction you want to go.

Self-Love Points Earned

Give yourself 150 points for every powerful request you make this week.

Lesson 33

Snapshot_033666p

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

I love many of her quotes, because they embody such strength and are always full of wisdom.

Lesson 33:  Choose Powerful Interpretations

Despite how it seems, it’s never the events of our lives that cause us pain or suffering. It’s what we make those incidents mean about us that either builds or diminishes our self-love. Having someone not return your smile or your phone call, for example, may not necessarily upset you, but how you interpret these situations will very likely influence the way you feel about yourself.

Each interpretation we make either adds to the quality of our life or takes away from it. This week, choose powerful interpretations!

Your Self-Love Assignment

Think of one situation or circumstance from your past that you’ve deemed painful, embarrassing, or hurtful. Notice how you interpreted this event by examining what you made it mean about you.

Now invent three positive interpretations of this occurrence that would leave you feeling powerful and strong, rather than weak and victimized.

Pick the interpretation that makes you feel the best about yourself – the one that most nurtures your soul and feeds your self-love.

Write this interpretation down on a sticky note or an index card, and read it to yourself every day this week.

Self-Love Points Earned

Give yourself 50 points every time you choose a powerful interpretation.
