Just one. I rarely drink anymore at social events because sometimes all it takes is one glass of wine and I start to feel all warm and fuzzy. I’m quite an innocent babe when it comes to drinking and smoking. I have never drank a full beer. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever tried to taste another beer since that one partial taste that was bad enough. I like white wine more so than red and tend to go for fruity ones. I’m an amaretto/7 girl when it comes to anything more beyond wine. I might take a taste of something stronger at say a family gathering, but that’s the extent. Liquor and me just don’t jive. If rolling a piece of paper sack as a cigarette counts as smoking.. then I had my first smoke when I was ten years of age and was being all cool with some neighborhood friends. It must have cured me as I’ve never been inclined to take another try of the real thing. The aura of cigarette smoke is just not very appealing to some of us.. a gentle nudge nudge.

Tree Nymph

I seem to always get blonde or dip dye hairs when I play hair gachas as was the case with this willow tree hair from Little Bones that I got at the Secret Affair event. Having started off as a redhead in SecondLife and then transitioned into browns/black hairs that felt more natural to me. Maybe I should consider my next major hair change to go blonde — it would save me lots of lindens that’s for sure.

This outfit really started off being pink as both the corset and feather pauldrons are texture change, except finding a bustier with the color to fit the rest of the combination proved to be a bit difficult so I switched to this ivory color. I see creative looks like this all the time on Flickr and I find them fascinating, so I am just playing to see what I can put together.

Shattered

I found this shattered man statue at an animated texture shop. It seemed like it would make a great decor item for the house, even if the space I have him in now is a bit tight for his outstretched arms. I’m breaking in the new mini furniture set that Aria released for this month’s FaMESHed event that consists of the sofa, table and vase with poppies. I love the details on the sofa and kept going between the three colors and finally settled on this grey. I must say that I really like when you can buy an item that gives you choices in the wood and fabric textures. Personally, I am more inclined to spend lindens on an item like this for a set price than for an item with one color choice for the same price. I also really like that some designers are allowing you to buy items individually. I don’t always want the whole set, but would love to have a particular accessory that comes with the set.

This cool jacket that I’m wearing is a group gift from .Shi. It comes with a HUD to change the jacket color and comes with a fabric necklace. The necklace took me a little time to fit almost right, but the hair covered the bit of imperfection, which is the necklace going through the jacket. I believe this will vary by avatar and mine is a little bigger than normal.

Lesson 46/S is for…(challenge)

I don’t often like to post twice, though I really do want to catch up on items and today I am motivated. I’m making progress with my real life work and taking breaks does help when you start to get bogged down in technical writing of policies.

Today the letter for the alphabet challenge is “S” and so I am not only featuring myself (joking), these horses and statue that were group gifts from Storaxtree and these trees that were part of 30L Saturday this week {still can get today} from Sweet Revolutions. The desk and stool are from Ionic gacha items at The Chapter Four event this month. I thought it would portray the lesson for this week of creating a plan of action of actions for goals you want to achieve in the next twelve months. The pose in the chair is called “inspired” which I thought was appropriate.

Lesson 46: Create a Plan of Action!

Lots of people have hopes, dreams, wishes, and fantasies about how they’d like their lives to be, but few have translated their desires into clearly defined goals. It’s time to review your goals and create a plan of action for their fulfillment.

For a goal to be effective, it has to meet a few basic criteria:

First, it must be specific. You must state what you want in a way that’s clear, concise, and easily understandable.

Second, it must be measurable. You must quantify your goal so there’s no mistake about whether or not you’ve achieved it.

Third, your goal must be set up within a particular time line. When will you start, and by when will your goal be achieved?

Your assignment this week is to set one goal for yourself that will give you the greatest sense of having lived an extraordinary year, then create a plan of action for its fulfillment.

Your Self-Love Assignment

Close your eyes and ask yourself, “What goal could I achieve within the next 12 months that would leave me feeling inspired by myself and excited about my life?”

Now that you’ve identified your goal, answer the following questions and you will have created a plan of action that, if followed, will lead you to its fulfillment.

What is the measurable result I want to achieve?
How will I know when it’s accomplished?
What is the time frame in which I will accomplish it?
What three actions can I take this week that will move me toward the fulfillment of this goal?

Give yourself 100 points for creating your plan of action, and another 100 points for taking actions this week to move you toward your goals.

P is for… (challenge)

Second Life was being difficult last night and after several attempts to try and get back in I just stopped. Apparently unscheduled maintenance was the cause of my frustration in those attempts. This morning I log and try to get the credits I needed to have been able to post this last night and wouldn’t you know it I get a restart within a few minutes of only looking away to check my email. I’m easily distracted like that. With no time to teleport away I’m off Second Life within seconds.

I just don’t have the patience or really the time to wait to be able to log back in, so I am going to do my very best to credit those items I don’t know offhand. Yesterday’s letter of the alphabet challenge was “P” and what better opportunity to feature these items from Poche. This is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while now, because this store is one of my favorite places not only because of their generosity in always giving away gifts in their store, but their reasonable prices for what they do charge so I always end up buying their stuff. The strawberry sweet tart and the flowers on the table are items that are currently at Seasons Story (I hope!) and for only 50L!. Actually on a quick check to the Seraphim blog, this is the right location. The other food is also from Poche and its a curry set and the breads are separate and also from Poche. You really ought to check out their cute cafe – one at the main store and another at a different location.

Today’s letter I will do later tonight hopefully and since it’s “Q” I think it will stand for a quiet moment.
