Hello everyone! I’ve never been happier for a Friday. I’m pretty worn out today, but I have the whole weekend to catch up on rest so I won’t complain.

As you probably know by now I consider myself a home and garden blogger. I’ve been moving to doing just home and garden in the last few months as I traded up most of my fashion sponsors for home decor only.  Though I kept my involvement with Pale Girl Productions, who produces events that include home and garden decor.  They’re also known for putting on the annual Skin Fair, which I’m promoting today with this post.  Plus you’ll be seeing lots more skin fair reviews in the coming days.

The Skin Fair is now open and I’m showcasing actually one of my previous sponsors, *YS&YS*, who has several releases at the fair.  I’m wearing the Moira skin in Tone 03, which you can find also in four other tones.  This skin applier is made for Catwa’s Catya mesh head.  I’m using the eyebrows and shape made for this skin, with only slight adjustment to the lips.

I’m also showing the lashes by Shiny Stuffs also at the Skin Fair. You get 10 lash applier choices in this set, and the ability to tint them.  The hair I’m wearing is a new release by Olive, out now at the Blush Event.  There are 6 color huds that have a complete variety of colors to choose from.

I’m doing another male post in my male series and as you can see I am easily amused.  I usually don’t have any prearranged thoughts of what I will end up doing when I log in other than I mainly go in-world these days to put something together to blog.  I know it sounds a bit boring.  Though I can’t say I find myself bored.  It’s about the right amount of stimulation that I need to keep me busy and focused as I filter through what’s on my mind and I begin to relax leaving behind the day.  It’s only when I’m restless beyond a certain point that I end up searching for something more to appease the mood.

Saying that I have begun to start to venture out a little more to take in some of the SL scenery.  I’ve been seeing some great pictures of locations in-world on Flickr that I would love to go visit.  The problem for me is that I’m starting to rez everywhere in a world of grey again, it makes the experience not so pleasant to want to do it again and again.

This night I began like usual by putting out recent purchases and moving them around and that’s how a scene starts to develop.  With this particular scene I had placed out several of the cute beach huts in varying colors by Trompe Loeil, which are now at Collabor88.  I know you can’t see the actual build, but worth checking out and a bargain at 88L.   As I saw them side by side the idea hit of having a guy scoping out the girl with binoculars.  Though as you can see things don’t always end the way you begin.  The pose sort of set the tone on this one.

I didn’t feel that I gave these olive trees a proper showing the other day with the picture I took being misty and foggy that it hid the texture and look of the trees.  Plus I wanted to show the other version of the tree that includes the hanging leave wreaths.

I’m in one of these fussy periods that I can’t seem to settle on anything that I put together.  That kind of moment when everything you try on just isn’t right or you decorate a whole room and then don’t like it and you tear it all down. It was that feeling of restlessness that lead me to do something differently when I was in-world last night.  Instead of the usual organizing some picture for a future blog post I hit the music scene on the grid.  I am not sure if that made the mood even worse.

How oddly it felt to be surrounded by other people and feeling almost like I didn’t belong in that scene.  You may wonder what about when I shop at events.  I confess to taking advantage of that trick of derender everyone on radar so that I can move around a bit easier.  I’m prone to get into my invisible alpha and then cam once I figure out the layout.   I hopped around a bit trying to find music that would entice me enough to stay, but after not finding much comfort there I ended up logging and going to bed.   It’s made me reflect how out of touch it felt and whether I have isolated myself so much with just doing nothing other than blogging and having the occasional odd chats here and there with my SL family that going out to socialize now feels odd.  I’m hoping it’s just a passing moment caused by the stress factors outside of this platform.

Even though the day is about gone it’s my hope that if you are in this category of special women that you had a splendid and a wonderful Happy Mother’s Day.

I spent the morning celebrating and honoring my mother along with my sisters cooking a large breakfast and then hanging for most of the day together talking, laughing and being completely lazy until we started to cook again to enjoy our last meal of the day together too.

Plus where else can I also be 50 shades of brat and my mother still love me.

I love pointy shoes in both worlds so I was super happy when I saw these flats by [MeshedUp], especially these in the crocodile texture.  It would be nice to have them in real life as they would match one of my purses, though I’ll settle to wearing them here.  You can find them and a few other color choices at this round of the Black Fashion Fair.

I took these pictures not knowing how they would ultimately symbolize the sense of vulnerability that I’m feeling inside just now.  Being fully naked with my emotions doesn’t come easy to me and I’m not one to bare my soul very often.  Even when I first started to write snippets of my real life on this blog it came with a small amount of anxiety. That has lessened over time though I will probably only share glimpses from time to time as I do now of a whole bunch of a lot of nothing.

I’m going to bare my soul a little.  I spoke to someone that I hadn’t spoken to in what feels was a very long time.  The distance created by circumstances and a decision that I had to ultimately make a certain amount of peace with.

It wasn’t a long conversation.  In fact, it was probably all of about ten minutes and yet those minutes were enough to send my emotions into overdrive and leave me feeling bare and naked.  I missed you more than you know.

Purple Girl 005

It’s a given that everything that I purchase in Second Life is for my own entertainment regardless whether I blog, wear or even use it for that matter.  I try not to be too spoiled in my purchase endeavors, though without shame admit that I can fall prey to buying things without a second thought to the price if I want it.  I definitely don’t need it.  I confess to inwardly cringing when I see comments on blogs or Flickr about needing this or that even if I know they probably meant it as a want instead.

I didn’t need this lovely purple dress or this shiny hair edition.  Nonetheless, every now and then I will splurge on things that go beyond my usual purchases of stuff that I will use more than once if not more regularly. These items were just fifty lindens for this weeks round of 50L Friday, so I’m even conscious of not overspending too… written with a smug look.

Yesterday my day was overly intense with having to get an MRI first thing in the morning.  For those who might not know what an MRI is, it stands for magnetic resonance imaging and its basically a test that produces detailed images of your tissues, bone and internal body.  The reason being is that in the latter part of 2013 I began to have some health issues that indicated I was following on the heels of my sister who was diagnosed and treated for cancer. I am all sorts of thankful that after my second minor surgical procedure I came out in the clear and this imaging procedure was a precautionary measure as part of my follow-up to ensure that everything continues to be normal and there is no out of control cells rearing their ugly heads again. For some reason other than I am quite forgetful sometimes I didn’t recall that this test required having an IV needle. That was a stinker.

Then I’m not sure I would consider myself to be full on claustrophobic though asking me to lay inside a tube with very little light pouring through, only if you threw your head back far enough to see the opening, for two hours and told try not to move, hold your breath, now breath is enough to get you off kilter. I’ve been here before.  I can do this. I had to do that kind of self talk to tell the technician to keep going as I held tight to the little squeeze tube in case you need them to stop all the while listening to the country music playing through the headset they give you so the noise from the machine doesn’t drive you even more nuts. I survived my morning. I picked country over the rock station only because I wasn’t sure that rock would rock my nerves even further.

My afternoon was just as stressful if perhaps not as intense, but after a long day I felt the need for some tranquility during my evening.  I opened more boxes from my trip to the Fantasy Gacha Carnival and here I am showing my body as if it weren’t enough my real body got scanned enough.
