Somehow I lost my sidebar on the front page of the blog and after an hour of trying to figure it out I lost all the settings and the sidebar totally disappeared from the rest of the pages. I’m no expert to this technical stuff and when it begins talking lingo I don’t understand my head gets all muddled up and I quickly lose focus. Hopefully, I will get some time later this afternoon to figure it out or get some help to get it back up.

I have my six month follow-up with the oncologist today. It’s been a bit nerve-racking this weekend thinking about it though I feel very good about what the outcome will be. Though it’s always good when it’s done and over with.

To distract myself I sorted out the stuff from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival that I purchased and after some trading managed to get some final pieces to complete sets. Just showing one of my favorite sets from this round.

Temporal state of mind.

I’m not totally empty. There is still a bit of common sense left in me, even if I am more than slightly cranky today and hitting a stage of becoming numb to certain situations. Several days of sleepless nights can be partly to blame. Of course it would happen that I can’t fall sleep until about 5:30 a.m. the next morning on the day that I need to be at my optimum level to function for an important meeting. I can’t even say the meeting itself is what kept me awake. It annoys me further just to think about that too. I will just count myself lucky that I wasn’t yawning during any part of it even if parts of it were cause enough to yawn.

Thanks to the complete stranger who kept me company by initiating a game of words with friends. I haven’t played that in ages, and never with a total stranger. Though the ding for a match couldn’t have come at a better time.

I tried something a little different and that is using a texture as a background and then just added some light in a couple of places. I much prefer setting up a scene or going on location though using this method can be useful at times.

Lost in the magical forest.

During this round of Enchantment one of the prizes if you completed a stamp card was this long hair from Tableau Vivant. It comes with lots of color choices, so not a bad prize at all. My friend Claire and I really liked this hair so we decided to take some photos together. I was shooting for the Latina Rapunzel except black in this hair didn’t look very good on me.

I’m also the proud owner of the llama that’s next to me thanks to Claire. It’s absolutely cute and you just wear it and it walks right along side of you. You can find them at the ongoing school festival. I still have not been able to complete this event, each time I go its pretty full and it lags me terribly that it’s impossible to even look.

Balance.

I work in a community that has a diverse population of different nationalities, cultures and ways of living. There is a long stretch of sidewalk that borders the state road that I travel in and out of work that goes from my office back into town. I was on my way out to meet a friend for lunch when I spotted this Haitian Creole woman walking towards the same direction I was heading with a steady pace. This isn’t unusual, though what struck my attention is the 12 or maybe 16 oz. water bottle that sat in the middle at the top of her head. It made me smile and its in those moments that I wished that I carried my camera to take a snapshot.

Seeing how perfect she balanced that bottle while she walked with her natural gait made me reflect a little on the subject of balance as I drove towards the restaurant. Of how easy it is to lose our balance with situations and the circumstances that surround it. I’ve always striven for a sense of calm and emotional balance in my life and most people who know me consider me a well balanced individual. So that when I find myself being at odds with the unbalance in my life I start to withdraw inwards to that place of solitude that helps me gather my wits once again.

I can’t speak to balance when I walk ~be certain that if I’m ever walking along side you that I will bump into you.

Just remember that life is like a bicycle, in order to keep your balance, you must keep moving.
