The other day I got a chance to visit the lovely and I mean quite lovely summer greenhouse addition that fellow blogger, but above that my good friend Cougar, added to her sim Lost Horizon. I was captivated by all the beautiful colors in the plants and flowers chosen, the fountain, seating arrangements and the well thought out plan of how she arranged it all. It was all just amazing… if and when she opens it up for public viewing you must pay a visit.

Another friend who taught me a thing or two about decorating always said look at things from every angle to ensure you get an amazing view from wherever you may be standing. I was not disappointed and as you can see I was stopped in my tracks when I caught sight of these delicious desserts. In my book another bonus for visiting. Who can pass up sweets? Plus she now she has me on the lookout for some of these desserts.

As for what I’m wearing is a new hairstyle by enVOGUE called Jacquelyn available at the main store. The top and skirt are by Una and it’s her participation at this round of Tres Chic, which has a Paris theme going. The shoes are also at this event and are by ChicChica. This cute pose is another great one by K&S Poses, which can be found at the main store.

Will you walk with me in silence?

It has been a chaotic week since having to make a quick trip out of town over the weekend past and while I got back sooner than I expected it just feels like my mind and body haven’t caught up.

I’m going to sneak in a fashion post before my originally planned decor post for today. I was a bit tired to put together the finishing touches on credits and the extra pictures so this one was the easiest to work with. I’m showcasing one of Wasabi Pills new hairstyles called London, which is out now at the Ultra Event. It’s short, sweet and stylish. The pearl necklace is a new release by Lucas Lameth and I thought it fit perfectly with this long dress by United Colors that is currently at Tres Chic. The necklace can be found at the (luc) boutique main store.

The dog is part of a pose by Fashiowl and it’s at the Tres Chic as well. I had to wear the pose as the sim did not allow rez, so it could be a little off from it’s original pose. There are about 4 poses with the dog.

Short on time today, but wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for your continued support. I made spotlight for Love to Decorate this week, which was sweet. Strawberry Land

Showing photos from a recent visit to the newest creation by Cica Ghost, called Strawberry Land. It’s a delightful new build of small figures like this set among giant size strawberries strewn around the land.

The passage of time often brings much more than we anticipate

“The people have gone… the village remains, and time and nature now live here”.

The other day I got to visit Roots by Cica Ghost, a small village abandoned as the description implies that the people have gone and what remains are the scattered little homes whose fate is decided upon time and nature. If you look closely you might find me somewhere in that picture above.

The creator previously had a similar exhibition in March-April 2014 known as the “Little Village” that I blogged under “T, U, V is for.” This is slightly different and yet provides a very touching experience… what one would say a poignant reminder of the passing of time.

The music selected to play is very peaceful and tranquil and certainly can provide calmness to the weariest and chaotic of minds.

It really is worth a visit to walk around and take in every little detail.

It’s a case of who caught who

I was working the midnight shift in SL Town where it wasn’t so uncommon to find your usual unsavory and nonconformist types. It happened so rapidly as I was cruising the streets that he suddenly appeared from the shadows of the side alley. I quickly swerved to avoid to hit this suspicious tattooed character who was dressed in some off white assemble. That one eye face mask with a bat full of nails hanging from his back was surely a sign he was up to no good.

Muttering under my breath as I braced myself for the eventual impact against the fire hydrant just to avoid to hit this loose cannon. I quickly got out of my vehicle with my nerves still intact and my hand firmly placed on my revolver as I moved to the other side to ensure that I hadn’t skimmed him with the patrol car.

He stood there erect and immovable, like a night predator watching his next victim approach. No outward sign of injury as I cautiously got near. There would be no need to call in my years of first aide training or to apply mouth to mouth resuscitation. Clears throat.

Even before I could speak he maneuvered around me and caught me. Maybe. Looks can be deceiving. I think this last picture tells that the story can go a few ways.

It’s a jungle out there.

I’ve had this outfit put together for several days now and was just waiting for the time that I could create a mini jungle or something of that nature to take photos. After digging in my inventory I found something called the jungle island and attempted to rez it only to discover seconds later that it was the whole setup for a sim. Thankfully, I was up high in the sky on a platform and not on the ground when I made that colossal mistake. I don’t think some of my neighbors would have been very appreciative of finding themselves buried in what could resemble the amazon forest.

It’s not the first time I have had this happen to me, except back then I was the new kid on the block and I buried a good part of the sim in an underground city. I can laugh about it now. It wasn’t so funny then.

Instead of creating my own scene I thought why not search and see what I could find out on the grid. I found this jewel of a place called the Makeahla Jungle, that has a tag line of “Rediscover the Heart of Nature.” I was pleasantly surprised to find this place and see all the animals. While most of them were mesh and stationary the ambiance of the place was very appealing. I can’t wait to go back and explore again and take photos of the rest of the animals.

I’m still thinking of you.

I didn’t have any plans to blog today. It’s been a hectic last few days at work and then the whole preparing for Thanksgiving and then you add the consumption of so much food from the meal that I was just in a state to take it easy. Though after spending a little time with a close friend I decided to bounce around a few stores that had a Black Friday sale without any real intent. It was during my visit to the Dead Dollz store when the view outside happened to catch my attention and so I aimed my camera out to take a closer look. I found this cafe that was beautifully set up and well after a few minutes I had selected a wind light and my camera naturally started clicking.
