Nothing says home like the smell of baking

There was a time that I really enjoyed baking and did a lot of it as I always loved having some coffee dessert on hand for family and friends when they visited, even though I didn’t drink coffee myself. I still enjoy it even if I bake mostly for a holiday or a special occasion these days. When I moved it was an opportunity to go through the the collection of baking pans, measurement cup sets, gadgets and tools that I acquired over the years. I downsized considerably.

It’s no different here in Second Life, where I’ve collected a lot of kitchen ware over the years. I’m just not ready to downsize here just yet. It’s all this wonderful realistic pieces of home goods, baking ware and gadgets that makes our kitchens come to life. I’m not disappointed with the newest releases by Ionic and Serenity Style. I mixed both with some old gacha favorites to put this kitchen scene together. There’s just too many pieces to reference, but all items used are mentioned below.

I’m also featuring a new hair release by eXxEsS called Citron, which is a long hair style even if you can’t see the back. It includes the new “Breeze” technology that animates the hair and a texture HUD that has 56-single tone hair colors. The lovely dress with a lace pattern is from Noche and it’s available in several colors at The Liaison Collaborative. Make sure to go check out this event, it’s one of the best for home, garden, fashion and a whole lot more.

Just us “guys” hanging out

I took a hiatus for a day to get some fantasy posts done on my Alexa’s Fantasy Wardrobe Blog, but I’m back again today to show you some more awesome decor.

The first is this new release that is an exclusive for the SwagBag Event tailored for men. This is a themed crate event, similar to Luxe Box, where the crate is delivered on the 1st of each month with fifteen unique items that are made exclusively for this event. If you miss grabbing the crate during the open period, you will only be able to purchase those particular items as a previous Swagbag at twice the price the month after its release. Below credits I’ve put some additional information that the creator has provided on this set that is included in your delivery box with purchase.

Next I’m featuring another fantastic collection by JIAN. This time they brings us raccoons, which are fantastically detailed. There are static, wanderer and a companion that is the only one that I didn’t include in this picture. You can find more details at the bottom of credits and can find the raccoons at FaMESHed.

Man Cave Set ~
The fridge is an object/landmark/notecard giver, so, just put inside what you want FULL PERM, and by clicking on, all can have it (inside there is some example to wear…yeah…BEERS! cheers^^).

The lamp have a notecard inside (editable) where you can set your preferred light/glow/color etc (very simple to use, just open it and edit), or, if you want, just hold click on for 5 seconds, and a menu appear (just when you turn off the lights, all come back to the old setting about the notecard).

The guitar, is a little jukebox, have inside 4 fine high detailed guitar songs, just click on it and choose your, or if you prefer, just put inside your own splitted music (as usual for objects that have sounds/music).

Precious moments treasured

Happy Friday to everyone.

Today I am doing a fashion post featuring a few items from this round of On9 and some from Kustom9. The first is a new skin by Essences, which is Sophia and it’s a head applier for the Catwa mesh head. It comes available in 6 skin tones and the one I’m wearing is medium tone one. What I like about this skin is the thickness and darkness of the eyebrows. The lipstick is not part of the skin, but from Alaskametro<3 and it’s a 6 color Dryad set as an applier for Catwa at On9.

These lovely earrings in a rich citrine color I am wearing are from Kunglers. I wish that I could pull these off in real life, though with my small ears I feel the weight of almost any earrings I wear to be too uncomfortable. You will find these at On9, as well as the hair by EMO-tions. Melanie is rigged mesh hair and there are three versions included that sit the hair on your front slightly different. I chose one that would not hide the earrings and the tattoo.

The tattoo is a recently released one from Aurica Store. It’s called music and it’s got a guitar and musical notes embedded throughout its design, which makes it kind of cool for those music lovers. You can find it at the main store.

The dress I’m wearing is from Empire and at Kustom9. We know this creator for her awesome shoes, but she’s getting into fashion now too and this dress is not a disappointment as it has open back view and gives a lovely curvature to your behind. I’m wearing the one for Maitreya, but it’s also made for Freya, Hourglass, Isis, Physique and Venus and a color hud with 20 choices.

The last item are the Savanna shoes by ChicChica at On9. They were practically a great fit to go with this dress. They are available in six colors and are made for Maitreya, Slink and Belleza. I really like how feminine these shoes look and especially the little flower accent at the the front.

Edited to include additional credits on the decor and mainly the dog, which I can’t believe that I totally missed it. The dog is from Jian’s Hallow-Inu gacha set at the Epiphany. I’ve previously showed one of the prince doggo, one of the rare dogs and this is one of the common wanderer dogs.

All the decor used is available at Collabor88, which are excellent bargains for 88L. So don’t miss out on them.

Game on boys

I’m participating in the Geeks ‘n’ Nerds Fair this year. It’s set to open the doors in a few days on October 22nd. It has a bit of everything for you to get your geekiness or nerdiest on.

Today I am showing a game master table with chairs and accessories set by Fiasco. The set comes with a decorated version set up as well as the individual pieces that you could use on their own or create your own game setup. The table with decorated game has a land impact of 5 with chairs being 2 and other individual games pieces with 1. The event will be open until November 5th. The poster below does not have the correct dates, as the event was pushed back as a result of Hurricane Mathew.

I’m also showing wall cubes in orange and black, the black planter and cube display decor pieces by ChiC buildings, available now at On9. This set is available in both black and orange at the event. I’m showing also a decor piece by ::New Church::, which is the TERRORium, called the Tree of Sorrow that sits on the cubes in the corner.

The vintage lovecraft comics on the floor are by [noctis] and available at Genre currently. The grid stander on the wall with the decor and other near the curtain wall is by Elysium and available at Totally Top Shelf. The last item being featured is the rustic bench, a collaboration between Shutter Field and Decor Junction. All great decor pieces for your decorating needs.

Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have

Featuring a new release by [Schultz Bros.], which is this skybox that is available now at this new round of Cosmopolitan. It’s copy/mod with only a 7 land impact and its approximately 15 x 11m. Great if you are limited in prim and need something small. I’ve included a collage picture below of how it looks unfurnished.

The skybox is furnished with some new and old stuff. The bed, ottomans, clock and mirror along with the nightstand are items by Bee Designs and it’s from their French Rose gacha. It was from a previous event, but you should be able to find it at the store. The stuffed sheep near the stairs are also by Bee Designs, and are from this round of Lost & Found, but it ends tonight, so they should be available at the store. They are the cutest things and make great decor for anywhere in the house.

Here’s a close up of the dogs. The adult wanderer I’ve shown previously in a post and it’s the reward dog when you hit the JIAN machine at the Arcade 25 times. The family bed is a common and its texture change for both the dogs and the bed. It’s also only 1 land impact.

Peace and tranquility begins inside of you first

Are you all done with your Christmas decorating? I’m not. I don’t even have a house down right now. The momentum is building to create something with all these Christmas decorations that I’ve been showing. Maybe I will work on that this weekend. Maybe. I just desire to be foolishly free and unencumbered and have fun and enjoy myself again.

If you’re still looking for Christmas decor today I am showing some pieces from [CIRCA] that can be found currently for a few more days at the Color Me Project. The pouffe, bench and area rug and twig tree planter are in an exclusive winter blue color for the event. They will be discounted at 25%. Playing house

The little ones like to play house or sometimes like in this case take over the house. Showing some items for the little ones today. These tents are from Buglets as a gacha item and can be found at the current round of The Play Room. There are 10 commons and 1 rare and come with 12 poses for you and a friend. It’s low impact at only 3 land impact. I’m on the setting up pose, but did use my handy dandy animare hud to move my head around so I could face the camera. You know we little ones are vain like that.

I’m also wearing some new nails also by Buglets, which can be found at the store. The cabin nails comes in lots of colors and each color comes with four options. I’m showing the ads below so you can get an idea of the colors for both items.
