The season is quickly changing into the winter atmosphere and definitely the Christmas season as well here in Second Life. If you’re wanting to get a head start on decorating here are some items from Shutter Field that are great. The rug has an abundance of poses for couples and singles with activities like this one I am using of Christmas wrapping. I think that I did an excellent job wrapping.. don’t you think?

Heavenly Villa the creator behind Shutter Field made some wonderful group gifts for you to enjoy as well. The Hillside Orchard Collection pictured is by Jian and is available at the Love to Decorate event that runs until the 26th of November. The apple trees come in both high and low LOD (level of detail) formats for you to choose based on land impact. There are three apple cider arrangements, three apple bag arrangements and three single bags, tables with runners, ladder, and buckets with varying levels of apples and a spilled over one.

I was sitting in the tub completely naked and rummaging in my inventory finding some decor to put this scene together to show you this new nautical boat by Heart Homes available at the upcoming round of Creators Collection Box. Wondering at the same time how I was going to cover the top half of myself. Then I put in towel in my search box wanting to find my towel on the floor, because I’m messy like that.

My wondering ceased when I found this towel that wrapped around my neck shielding everything I wanted covered. I love my inventory for these reasons.

The nautical boat can be found in both pg and adult version with loads of animations in both. It has some features like filling the tub with chocolate, milk or if you prefer the more traditional try hot water with some bubbles.

Time after time

When I saw this clock from Jian it brought to mind the song “Time after Time” so I couldn’t help but look it up and hear it. The clock can be found at this round of The Liaison Collaborative that ends November 3oth. The canopy is also from Jian and can be found at the We ❤ Role-Play that also ends at the end of the month. It’s available in both adult and pg versions and each having quite a selection of animations and is 32 land impact.

I’ve included the video below for those who might like the song. It’s a bit of a sad song describing two people who can’t keep the same pace within their relationship. The suitcase of memories representing one of them moving forward even though love still exists as the writer suggests it’s reaffirmed in the lines “If you’re lost you can look and you will find me, if you fall, I will catch you I will be waiting.”

Love shouldn’t be so hard or hurt right? Though I’m of the belief that if it hurts it’s because it was real and it mattered. Connections made are not easily broken, only buried, ignored or walked away from, but it is said that true love has a habit of coming back.

This residence might look familiar to you as I’ve posted a similar one in the past, except this is the super sized version for those of us who need more space. Room 144 is by The [Den.], and is released at the 6th Republic. It’s pretty roomy as you can see. The size is 27x 33 x7m and has a land impact of 83, and is materials ready so best experienced under the advanced lighting.

“Crying is how your heart speaks, when your lips can’t explain the pain you feel.”

Just recently I saw some furniture scattered on the lawn of a land on my sim. I was curious so I looked to see who owned the land. It seems there was a breakup of the couple whose group name gave claim to an eternal love or a forever love. The departing party left a scathing one sentence explanation in the renamed description of the group that land is deeded to. It just left me feeling a bit sad for the couple in question.

It seems to be going around… as a day or so later another very prolific couple that I only know through their Flickr pictures are no longer together after 3 years. What is sad for me in this — is that less than a month ago there was professing of love by both parties. Then a month later one of them is now partnered and married in SL with another individual who was also partnered and also professing love to their significant other also less than a month ago.

Obviously, I don’t know the circumstances and you can draw your own conclusion. It just saddens me really. I’m a bit old fashioned when it comes to love. My best example are my parents. My mother has only ever loved one man since she was sixteen; my father, who is now departed. I guess that I take after her in a way. I’ve only said the “I love you” words to a significant other twice in my life and the love that I know doesn’t take a month to heal.

In fact, I’m probably a glutton for punishment. I stick around and try to make it work, especially if I care. A true relationship is two unperfect people refusing to give up on each other.

Maybe I’m just naive when it comes to love or just love in Second Life.

California dreams

It’s becoming an increasingly frightening world we live in. My heart goes out to France in thoughts and prayers.

I meant to post this last night, but I was beyond tired and went to bed around 9:45 pm and that is early for me. I think having spent most of the day in the emergency room with my sister the day before was exhausting and stressful and while I was tempted to fight the sleepiness I gave in.

Today I am showing the California set by Kuro that is out at the 6th Republic event. The bed is available in both adult and pg. The set also includes the lamp, pillows, rug and trunk as decor items. Another item by Kuro is the chopping board with a cup of tea and snack. The perfect thing for that quiet moment. It is available at the Liaison Collaborative event.

The last thing I want to point is the coffee table that I modded for a nightstand. These were coffee tables that LISP had for Fifty Linden Friday this week.
